Well, here we have the new pokemon game. It's great. If you have ever played a pokemon game before, you'll find that this game has many of the same ideas: Gyms, battle tower, ect. Unfortunatly, this game has only one world with 8 gyms, as opposed to g/s/c's two. BUT it has great graphics, new pokemon, and new additions, like contests, and, my fav, secret bases.
The worst thing is that if you have played other pokemon games, you may already be bored with filling you pokedex and such.
(and sapphire has Kyogre and Latias, so get it insted of ruby)
Awesome game!

I have to admit, back in 1998, when i first saw Pokemon red, i was completely unimpressed. I never even gave it a second thought until about two months ago when i saw Sappire version on the shelf. After looking at the website, i was very impressed by the graphics, and so i decided to give it a try. I am very glad i did.
Graphics: 10/10
excellent graphics for the GBA, i have never seen better.
Plot: 7/10
The plot was too simple, and Team aqua abd the Elite four were incredibly easy.
Gameplay: 9/10
The only reason this didn't get a ten was because it only holds one game file! that is EXTREMELY stupid!
Overall: 8/10
i also wish i could link up with friendswho have previous editions of Pokemon, but oh well, it's a great game as it is.
If you are even considering getting sapphire, rush down to your local video game store and buy it right away!
I hope this review helped!

First of all, I loved this game. It was great. The double battle mode thing is awesome. The only question I have is why Johto and Kanto are not in the game. Team Rocket is gone and replaced by Team Aqua. 100 new Pokemon are in and 100 old Pokemon are out. The Pokenav (Pokemon Navigator) is a great feature. It has a map and Pokemon trainer list. It's a fun thing to use and it's cool. Over all, I recommend this game to anyone with a Gameboy.

The game have exelent graphics, very good sound, and terrific pokemons to catch. The only bad thing about the game is that you cannot catch pokemons like groundon, ho-oh, jirichi, deoxys, motres, zapdos, articuno, and other pokemons in the old versions and pokemon fire red and pokemon leaf green, unlike pokemon colloseum.
Greatest Pokemon Game Ever!!!!!

Trust me, you've got to get this game. I think that that the originals were fine and there graphics were lagging but sapphire has a great story and great graphics, the game is great because you are in the all new Hoenn Region and only 52 of the original pokemon were kept and the new pokemon are so cool, if you have any intrest in this interview you obviously are thinking about buying it, buy it! The game is the best, the features are the best, buy it!

Sapphire rules all. Sapphire kicks the originals out of commission. Sapphire is definitely, a game that will be remembered as a great game.

This game is absolutely astounding. The graphics are incredible, the sounds are delicious, and the new Pokemon are out of this world.
Overall, this game, and also Ruby edition, beats out the other older versions hands down. Of course, there are some cons to these two games. First, not all of the old favorites are in them. In fact, quite a lot have been taken out.
This snag can be overcome if you have a GameShark. Just don't go to any official Nintendo sponsered Leagues. They'll know right away. It's just mainly for your own pleasure, and benefit to Shark. Makes it a little easier, but still leaves plenty of the challenge to the game.
The berry thing is pretty cool. You can raise the berries you picked back to their normal state if you attend to them regulary. And sometimes get more berries than previously.
Using the Rods is not like with older game versions. Here, you have to basically put fishing in real life to it. You have to "reel" the hooked Pokemon in carefully, or you'll lose it. Mastering fishing in here can take quite some time.
This is a great game, and worth every penny it's worth.

Let me start out by saying that I've been a fan of Pokémon since my friends introduced me to Pokémon Stadium. From then on, I bought (and played) Pokémon Red, Pokémon Yellow, Pokémon Silver, and Pokémon Crystal. At that point, I didn't really think that things could get much better in the Pokémon gaming world... I was wrong.
Pokémon Sapphire has got to be one of the most addictive games that I've ever played (and my friends will tell you that I've said that about every Pokémon game that I've played). As in the past Pokémon games, there are eight gyms, which mean that there are eight badges to be won (with the exception of Gold, Silver, and Crystal, which have sixteen badges to be won). From the day that I bought it, I was furiously trying to get through the game at my traditional quota of one gym badge for each one hour of game play. Well, suffice it to say, that just isn't possible in the game, because it has the repetitive side quests that you MUST complete. This is the only reason that I'd remove points from the overall score... but seeing as the game has given me many an hour of joy since I bought it, it still gets five stars.
The legendary Pokémon that you get to capture within the Pokémon Sapphire are Kyogre (in place of Groudon in Pokémon Ruby) and Latias (in place of her brother, Latios, in Pokémon Ruby). And unlike in the previous games, you actually can find the Master Ball (that is, the one ball that can capture any and all Pokémon in the game with 100% accuracy) without having to defeat the Elite 4 and the Champion. Just remember to get it from either Team Magma or Team Aqua's hideout the first time around, or you'll be out of luck. I learned this the hard way: completed the entire game before I found out, and I had to start over. True, I could've captured Latias with Ultra Balls, but because it says that she acts like the Legendary Dogs of Gold, Silver, and Crystal (in that she runs away whenever cornered), I've decided to use the Master Ball on her the first time I meet up with her.
In any event, I'd have to say that this game is a major step up from the other games in both graphical and sound quality, while not much else changes... Wait, no, I take that back: there's also the two-on-two battle system that's been implemented. I'm not a big fan of it, simply because my strategy is to only focus on leveling up one Pokémon, until said Pokémon reaches level 100, and then focus on the others. Anyway, those are the only real changes, as well as the location (which is a li'l region named Hoenn).
What you WON'T find in this game are the ability to trade with the older cartridges (not even Gold, Silver, or Crystal!), or a good backlight... unless you're lucky enough to own a Game Boy Advance SP, or whatever it is. All in all, this game is definitely worth every penny, and has a LOT of replay value. Kudos on a job well done, Nintendo. Five outta five from this happy camper. :)
