Ok yo wont waste your money buying this game, have good graphics, good control on the ground but when you are in the sea you may get confused with which cannon to fire also that also you get onfused which way to turn in the sea. A short but not bad history and the gameplay very cool you can fire cannons in the sea and have a swords duel in land but if you do not like to duel with swords you also have a pistol (but very limited ammo). The thing that I dont like is that you need to write passwords in order to resume the game (but not a problem). So give a chance to TDK you wont waste money.
Great game for Pirate fans.

The graphics are great, and I thought the ones at sea were best. Although it is different from the movie, it has more characters and missions. There are 20 missions and most of them are pretty long. Jack doesn't look at all like the movie. Barbossa's men are almost indestructible. The passwords may be annoying but it is OK if you write them down. I am 9 years old and I spent 4 weeks allowance on this but it was well worth it.

I was hoping that this action/adventure game would be based on the blockbuster film version that starred Johnny Depp and Geoffrey Rush, but I was greatly dissapointed. It's a bit silly and I'm still getting used to my new GBA that I got for my B-Day yesterday, but I know Video Games quite well. I'm still getting used to this mini game system as I said before, I'm so used to my Ps2, but the GBA doesn't let you down however! Although this game is cartoonish and cheesy and made for 8 and under, this 22 year old still finds it quite enjoyable when I'm bored. If you are expecting some awesome, eye popping adventure game then save your money and get it for PS2 instead. But if you just want some mindless, easy, cute fun while travelling or while waiting to catch a bus...then get this game, it's pretty cute!

No save option in game, instead you need passwords. If you think this game is like the old PC based Pirates Gold, you are wrong. This game is mission based and boring to this gamer seeking a portable Pirates Gold clone.

I got this game for Christmas, because my friend knew how much I loved the movie. This game is pretty much true to it's plot with some new characters and twists. But basically, this game has a little over twenty semi-challenging missions, which you eventually complete and the game ends.
In between, you will do things like fight town soldiers, fight pirates, fight Spanish soliders, fight fat pirates, fight hoardes of orange crabs, and fight dead pirates. This all culminates into more and more fighting which leads to the Ultimate Fight with Captain Barbossa. And then it all ends rather suddenly.
The game had a lot more potential than this I think, especially in terms of character development. But basically, you run, fight, and run some more. You DO get a ship and get to have some exciting overseas battles, which makes a lovely change.
Also, this game has no real 'save game' feature which means you will have to write down passwords in between levels. I had to redo the first eight levels of this game 4 times because I kept losing my passwords. Erf.

When my brother bought the game I thought it looked interesting and started playing it as Jack Sparrow on the island where he was deserted by Barbossa and his crew. I wasn't too impressed by the way they portrayed Jack. Personally I am really bugged by when video games, books, etc. are not even close to the movie or wherever it orignated. The game itself is rather slow, and I got very bored with it. I haven't gotten very far because of the slow pace, but others may enjoy and play the game as much as the next person.

(...) That being said it's a fun game for kids, but us mid-20 somethings were disappointed. Game play cramped our fingers more than other GB games. Also, this game is not very reminiscent of the movie. The song from the ride is reproduced well and sounds really cool, but that novelty wore off by the 4th mission. Also, it's not very convenient to write down passwords with a portable game system and the password font is hard to decipher. Still, worth it for the right price. Most GB Advance games are meant for kids, so this one has a slightly more adult edge than most.

I like the game but is a little strange. There is also a strange easter egg too. Go to "continue game" and enter "L1TTLVN" to see a strange easter egg.
