Sets a standard for GBA action game

This is a truely awesome game. Every aspect of this title is great comes together to make a masterpiece of the game. The graphics and animation really show off what the GBA can do. The music really gets you into the game. The tight controls keep you from getting too frustrated. The story and the gameplay will keep you coming back.

I love this game! Being a longtime Metroid freek this has got to be one of the best of the entire series. The graphics are amazing and the sound incredible. you'll be playing this game for hours as it hooks you in. buy it! you won't regret it!

While Metroid was never very popular in Japan unlike most games for nintendo game systems, Metroid has been a hit in the United States with record breaking sales and great reviews, this latest Metroid is not to disapoint. Metroid Fusion, the latest game in the metroid saga leads again as another hit in the states with amazing graphics and even better sound. Bringing it's life from a similar engine used in Super Metroid, Metroid Fusion brings you seven brilliantly colored and designed levels for you to play, a complete arsenal of weapons and new abilites you can gain as you play. While this game may be very short and with some practice some may be able to beat it just under four hours, the overall gameplay makes up for it and brings new life to the series, Metroid fans rejoice! Metroid Fusion is just one of the smash hits that you just can't pass up.

Metroid Fusion will pull you in from the very first seconds of gameplay. Whether your a veteran of the series, like me, or a newcomer, seeing Samus fly and sumersault from platform to platorm always looks amazing. Not onlt that, but she can now bounce off walls and handholds, making every fight fast pace and just plain cool-looking. This new installment in the series follows off where Super Metroid left off, having Samus get infected by a newly discovered parasitic diesease. Miraculusly being saved by a cure made from the metroid larva, She now is sent to investigate a reasearch facility that has just been strucken by this diesease. I will admit that Samus now has some strange purple goo left off from the diesase and that looks a little silly, but, as mentioned above, her fast paced jumping moves look as cinematic and cool as ever, kinda like Dante (From Devil May Cry) and that Contra character no one can remeber the name of. It has the dark, moody inviroments although there not quite as scary as the abondoned, dark and bug-infested underground bunker of Super-Metroid, but an abondoned and quiet space facilty with mutated people walking around it and strange opvergrown vegetation crawling up the walls can get one just as emotioanlly involved in as the enviroment of Super-Metroid. Theres also a Samus clone that you constantly either sneak quietly and stealitly past, or make an epic and dramatic run from that always seems to end in a close call. Most of the most frantic and exciting moments of this game come from encounters with Samus's clone. The bosses are also some of the greatest I've ever seen in a 2D game. They all feel big, no, huge and sometimes gargantuan and look very intimidating. Plus, there are no real corny or fake-looking ways to beat them, once you defeat one, the fight will look very real and you'll beleave that it would be possible for a lone and small Samus to defeat such a large and overwhealming enemy. The endings (There are five of them), are also climatic and dramatic, and just like the clone encounters, always seem to end in a spectacular close call. Metroid Fusion is my favorite Metroid Game, and has instanly become my favorite GBA game. This game is very amazing, the strange and creepy enviroments are very compelling, the storyline could become a great Scince Fiction movie, Samus's sumersault moves are dazling to look at, and the bosses are the best looking and most fun to fight ive ever seen in a video game. You can really think about it hard, but never think of anyway this game could've been better. I have had a great expereince with this game, one of the best I have had with a handheld video game. Please, Nintendo, never abondon your Metriod series again. This game is a great game for anyone except the very young ones (8 and below) who get scared by movies. I think every GBA owner who met that above reccomentdation should have this game.

metroid fusion

Metroid fusion is a great game. A classic sidescrolling game. This doesn't make it bad. When i played it i didn't notice that is was sidescrolling until i was more than half way through. The game doesn't seem that it could be that big. It is entirly based inside an abandond space station. But that does not hold the game back. It has six breeding enviroments plus a main deck an main power shaft, docking bays, habitation deck and a quarentine bay. And after you gain speicial weponry you can get to more parts the sectors. The only downpoints to the game are that it is short and confusing. I finished my first time in 6 hours an 33 minutes. That's short. And you realy need a guide for this game. Boss strategys can get pretty complex and to proced in the game sometimes you have to place a bomb in the exact right spot. You could get stuck for days. And to get all the upgrades to missiles, power bombs, and energy you might have to find the most specific inviseble wall and use speed booster at just the right moments. If it was a bit longer it would be a perfect five star. Being complex just means a challeng. So pretty much, this is an awsome game.

I've read some of the reviews say that Metroid Fusion is boring. Are they playing the same game? This is perfect return for the Metroid games. The story is great and deeper than the other games, the graphics are better, and the bosses look and act meaner. This is without a doubt, the best Metroid game so far, and I hope they make another one.

exploration at its best

This is the rare game that will make you forget about every other aspect of your life until you beat it. Ive beaten it 16 times in the last 3 months will all but one nergy tanks and all missile and power bomb expansions. if you have metroid prime, you can get a cable and play original metroid and use the fusion suit in prime. In Fusion, though, there is a lot of cool area and the bosses are fun, really fun. The plot by far is the best of any metroid game yet. The weapons are so fun to use you could spend hours in total just running around shooting stuiff for the fun of it. The missiles are so great and fun to use. later on you can get the wave beam that shoots through walls!the morph ball is also very fun, it can jump bomb, and power bomb, as you proceed further you get more expansions to suit and arm cannon, like being able to walk through water easily withthe gravity suit and be able to live in lava. playing this game will provide hours upon hours of entertainment undoubtedly.

This is certainly one of the best GBA games ever made. It's so good. It is so entertaining and it'll never bore you. Even though it's a little short(you can finish it in like 5 hours) it is defenetly worth buying. It's so good you'll have to beat the game like 4 times to get bored of it.

The graphics are great, the music's good, it's not monotonous, the gameplay is really good, story as well, cool escenarios, awesome boss fights, and the difficulty is just right. And the upgrades make it even more fun.

When you plug it to the GC with Metroid Prime, you can get new extras like new outfit for Samus, Super Metroid,and some other things.

It doesn't matter if you're a fan of Metroid or not, or you don't even know what is a metroid, I'm almost sure that you'll enjoy this game.

A blast from the past

Now this will bring backsome great memories. I heard rumors of one guy actually commiting suicide when he heard that metroid prime, this games gamecube counterpart, was going to be a fps instead of third person, if he only would have waited for this to be announced. This game is very similar to metroid series of the past with a few elements of metroid prime mixed in, but it still plays like the old metroids making it a MUST HAVE for any gba or gbsp owner. Yes, its short, but still its hard to warrant not having this game...an instant classic.
If you never heardof the metroid series this game might not mean anything to you, but still I urge you to give this game a try.
Recommended without reserve.

my favorite GBA game i have

Even though I have only 3 games for GBA this is my favorite one.
Some people say that they beat it in under 2 hours but I took almost 6:40!(I did have a strategy guide)This game is really cool! the x parasites infected Samus and her powersuit was removed and most of her abilities were gone. So you go around the B.S.L.(biologic spce lab) Recovering her powers and defeat the Sa-x which is a x parasite mimicking Samus with all of her abilities. An excellent game, I would reccomend this to anyone!!
