A More Realistic Doom.

After extensively spending some time with the E3 build, I have to admit that I am quite impressed. The graphical system is pretty good, especially for a handhled system. I really have a lot of respect for a near-perfect port of the Playstation original. A nice variety of WWII weapons are present, and they are fairly easy to aim and use. There are also quite a few levels that are really large in size, which is very surprising for the Game Boy Advance. Also, the game is better than Doom, as it is more realistic and the enemies are much easier to see. Unfortanutley, it is just too damn dark. The Game Boy Advance is not backlit, and this just reminds of that. It is also a port of the Playstation game. Medal of Honor: Underground lacks the polish of the original and the new additions found in the Playstation 2 game, Medal of Honor Frontline. Environments are bland, and enimies can sometimes be too tough. There is never enough ammunition, either. However, this game is eaisly the best first-person shooter to grace the Game Boy Advance. It is more realistic than Doom, longer than Ecks Versus Server, and is much easier to navigate than the bloody tradedgy that was Wolfstein 3D. This game is good stuff, and I strongly recommend it to anyone who feels like murduring some of those damn, virtual, Nazis. Damn fine. Damn, Damned, fine.

Disappointing

While the GBA has had a steady flow of great first person shooters (Doom 2 and Duke Nukem Advance to name a few), this anxiously awaited conversion of Medal of Honor: Underground is a huge disappointment considering all of the hype put into it. First off you will immediately notice the insanely grainy and choppy graphics. All of the environments and textures appear very blocky and blend in with one another more often than they should. Also, the frame rate is very sluggish, and if you have enemies behind you you won't be able to get a shot off at them until they get a few shots in themselves. While all that is the game's only true flaw, Medal of Honor: Underground still has a lot going for it: throughout the various missions you'll have to escort resistance members or steal military secrets from the enemy which is a nice change of pace from the usual mindless killing that has been abundant in first person shooters from the days of Wolfenstein 3-D. The game's soundtrack is great and is nearly identical to that of the original Medal of Honor game for the PS1, and the control is nice and tight for the most part, but thanks to the godawful graphics presentation, this game is a huge disappointment. All in all, those who have anxiously awaited this game will not be happy with it, and while Medal of Honor: Underground isn't a bad game at all, it is simply not worth purchasing.

I love how people that havnt even played this game rate it 5 stars. The only reason i gave it one star is because that's the lowest you can select. This game was so horrible, the graphics were the worst i've ever seen on GBA, I am not cheap but I actually took this game back to the store where I bought it and demanded a refund. The missions in the game, a joke, you pretty much walk right into them. And walking around is even a joke, i've never seen such choppy framerate in a game in my life!! Also when you shoot your weapon it's so slow i'm surprised your not dead by the time you get your second shot off. My advice, dont waste your time or money on this game. I would compare this game to Duke Nukem Advance as Duke being a 10 outta 10 and Medal of Honor being a 1 out of Million!!!

This game is horrific. The levels are linear and the choice of weapons is lacking. The graphics are so bad I cannot tell if I am shooting a guard or a wall. The graphics make your eyes hurt they are so bad. Most of the time I could not see where I was going. Luckily, I pretended like it didn't work and got a refund. The music is the only good part of this game. This is definately the worst game I have ever played. EVER.

Pretty good, not the best it can be though..

I have found this game to be a fast and excellent war game to play , it teaches you about what the war was all about and it has some great graphics. However, there are some gliches, such as the ability to turn around with enimies are attacing you or to have an accurate shot using the sniper rifle.

i am an experienced veterian with first person shooters and I have to admit that this is the worst on I have ever played. To me the worst part is the insane auto aim that takes away all chance to show any talent with shooting. The frame rate is very slow and the background is very bland. There is no real easy visible difference between nazis and a wall. And there is allways too much ammo, I tried as hard as i could and I wasn't able to get rid of it.

Medal of Honor: Underground is the eleven best (second to the worst) FPS for GBA and the ninth released for the system. Medal of Honor: Underground looked promising for the GBA because the PS One version was so good. When I turned on the game I thought it wasn't so bad. Cut me some slack, I'm only reading the mission briefing! After I was done reading, the game started. What the heck am I looking at? These graphics are horrible, some of the worst I've seen on GBA. I liked how the other reviewer worded it, It was like sticking a turd in your Game Boy cartridge slot and flipping the on switch! That's pretty much the only way I can describe how bad the graphics are! After a while you get used to the chunky graphics and sluggish control and realize, okay, it's not that bad. The game features a good story, neat cut-scenes and varied objectives. This gives it more depth than the garden-variety shooter, ahem . . . Doom. This is definitly one of the worst FPSs for the GBA. Beware of the graphics!

You wouldn't even believe how bad "Medal of Honor: Underground" for the GBA sucks.

I've played MOH since the original on PSX snd have always loved each game in it's series, but this game for the GBA is downright horrible. We are talking "shouldn't even had been released" horrible.

Gameplay is horrible, jerky and slow action, graphics are terrible.

I don't know what the deal is with EA and their GBA games. Its obvious they don't put too much effort into development of GBA games. Madden 2004 is downright horrible on the GBA as well.
