Takes a little longer to start a game, and doesn't save a game simply by turning the system off, like the earlier version would.

I keep coming back to this game...

On GBA I have "Golden Sun", "Tetris", "Pirates of the Caribbean", "Racing Gears" and this golfing game. I should also add that I regularly play "Tiger Woods" on the PC. This game is so fun that I play it twice as much as all my other Game Boy Advance games put together.

The characters are kind of dorky looking in an anime meets precious moments kind of way, but how much can you expect in a hand-held golfing game?

The ability to work your way through both the role-playing aspects and the golfing aspects really break up the game. The quick games are great when you're just got ten minutes to kill at the dentist's waiting room. The 3-click works as well as my old Jack Nicklaus' Golden Bear game, and the ability to earn points which you add to your character's attributes gives you a real feeling of progressive accomplishment.

Fun for the short and long haul. Ten bucks well spent.

I lvoe this game that I got used for only $10 on Amazon. The quick games have a lot to offer. The story is fun also. I just started and I'm getting pretty good and addicted to the game. You don't have to be a good golfer to play. This game would be great for any kid and even adults that want to play a fun little golf game.

Not the best game in the world but its a great golf game all together. I like this much more than any Tiger Woods style golf game b/c it poses a little more than a challege. Worth a try.

Finally, something has replaced Mario Golf for GBC (1999), as the best golf game for a handheld device, and as luck would have it, it's Mario Golf Advance Tour for GBA. Structurally, gameplay is very similar to the GBC's Mario Golf - many of the characters have been carried over, and many of the mini-games are upgraded versions. It's a great morph of the GBC and the NGC versions of Mario Golf.

For me, this is the "King of the Hill" among handheld golf games ... until the PSP version of HOT SHOTS comes out. :) That's gonna be sweet!

o.k. first off id like to say this game is great.its story is about two up and coming golfers who are ready to take on the world.you start off by becoming a member of a golf club and you walk around going to tours and playing against locals and hoaning your skills to become a better golf.now here the meat and potatos of the game.theirs tons of extras with multiplayer....with one g.b.a!you can play as mario,donkeykong,peach and yoshi.as well as the two custom charaters in story.the graphics 5/5 story3.5/5 multiplay 10/5!!1!.go out and buy this if your looking for a great g.b.a game.

i have 3 mario golf games and i like this one the most. it is a fun game that puts all your favorite mario characters in an uncommon sport. to me its uncommon anyway. if you have the gamecube one i highly suggest you give this one a try too.

Mario Golf is a great game. As soon as you think you have beaten the game you find out that there is another challenge for you to beat, and then once you have completed that challenge there is another. Plus each course that you play on, whether it is the Dunes or the Links, are effected by the weather. You might have a sunny day or a windy rainy day. You are always getting better, and always coming across more challenges. I would recommend this game to anyone.
