For some background,I received this game and the GBA SP for Christmas.I am not really into Final Fantasy games as much as my big brother does, but the first Kingdom Hearts game was special. You see,my family and I are huge Disney fans so the game was kinda cool to play,(with all the Disney characters). And the fact that sometimes I am stuck watching my brother play FF games wasn't all that bad, because there are also FF characters on the game. The newest KH game is an interesting game.Sora has to lose some of his memories in order to gain what he really wants. So he goes through a mysterious castle and goes through memories that he has gained from his last adventure.I highly reccomend this to an experienced gamer,(for people who haven't played KH1,try to get some background on the first one before you get this one).Other than that, have a great time playing this game!
Overall, Great

Being a huge fan of Kingdom Hearts (for Playstation 2), I was psyched for Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. First off, the basic storyline or plot of KH:COM is very intriguing, especially with the introduction of "The Organization" - the group of baddies. The unfolding story and drama among the bad guys seemed to over-shadow the turmoil going on with Sora, which wasn't a bad thing. The combat portion of the game, which does consume most of the gameplay, not only makes you use alot of strategy in battle but makes the game itself alot more challenging and not to mention, fun! I did personally find Kingdom Hearts to be alot more "easier" than it should or could have been, but KH:COM really steps up and just seemed more "older gamer" orientated. Overall this game was a blast to play and of course is a must have for any Kingdom Hearts Fan, especially because it sets the stage for Kingdom Hearts 2, which isnt going to be released until September 2005.
Great Game

I was reading some of the other reviews for this game (one in particular) and they (especally that one) couldn't be more WRONG. In the review I keep refering to they complain of the bosses being too strong....Bull! I couldn't believe how easy some of them were! The writer of the review spacificly mentions Axel and Marluxia as being hard. Well, considering Marluxia is the FINAL BOSS he's not going to be a cakewalk. But even with Marluxia, the fight is more long than hard. In conclusion, if you like a good RPG buy this game, if RPG isn't your thing make your own decision. But dom't count it out because of some bonehead's review!
Sweet game

The graphics are amazing for a gba game. The storyline is great and the way you battle is interesting, too.I loved the first kingdom hearts, and this is a great sequel. I can't wait for the ps2 sequel, though!!!
Not even close to the magic of the PS2 KH

The game has a far inferior battle system compared to its predecessor and is mostly just random fights in a series of repetetive maps. The GBA version has none of the exploring that made KH a lot of fun.
Best RPG game for the GBA

The game itself was a 10/10 and being an extreme RPG gamer, I bought a gamecube and a gamecube player just to play this game. This game picks up where Kingdom Hearts left off on the Playstation 2. I can say I was quite upset to hear that the game came out on another console but at the time it was the best option for Square to make some money.
As the title points out, this game revolves completely around Sora's memories. With this in mind you get the overview of what happened in the first game and a little bit to lead you into Kingdom Hearts 2 for the Playstation 2. Unfortunately after playing the game I came to realization that if you never played this game then it wouldn't really matter with the story in part 2.
The battle system uses cards but not in the way Yugioh does. I was quite confused with the setup but after awhile you can tell the cards gave a unique edge over other games you might play. Basically the cards represent actions like striking and casting magic and then you recharge manually after you run out of cards. This offers the player the true wait time effect and it makes it creative at the same time.
I'd recommend this to kids who want a short game explanation of kingdom hearts and adults who are looking to continue the story from the first game. The fact that this game is so fun reminds me of the old Chrono Trigger days where I spent hours playing it over and over. I'm sure you would too=)
THIS GAME IS THE HOTEST GAME EVER!

You will love this game. You will never put it down. The story line is very interesting and battling the bad guys is really awsome. The music is good and you will love how the pics. are almost as if you were playing a Gamecube,PS2, xbox and so on.You will be beging your parents 5 more minets to keep playing it. It is the hottest game you will every play in your life.Even if you are not a Diney fan, you will love it. The best part is battling the heartless and the bosses. But the storyline is interesting. My favorite line is "ahead lies something you need-but to claim it, you must lose something dear." Thats all I am going to tell you, now the rest is for you.
THIS IS THE BEST FREAKIN GAME EVER MADE

Squaresoft and Disney shocked everyone when they combined together to make a wonderful game like Kingdom Hearts. Thankfully, they did a WONDERFUL job. But CoM, really, kinda miss's the kick. But thats really okay.
Now you start off right where you left off at the ending of the first game. Sora evetually goes to Castle Oblivion. A place where you must lose to gain. And so Sora sets off. But, he finds out that the higher you go, more you forget.
THE BATTLE SYSTEM
A lot of people seem to be freaking on the card battle system. Well, you can't really call it a card game. You can still beat the enemy by just pressing the A button non-stop, or just pressing L1 or L4 (whatever those buttons are called....) but, you kinda have to make your own fun to really get into the game. You can probally easily beat the game in three days (at the most) if you wanted. It's not really hard at all. It just takes some time to get used to it.
GRAPHICS
They're pretty darn good for a GBA game. And the opening cutscen is simply amazing for a GBA. The graphics to flow WONDERFULLY with the card battling, so it makes it easer.
STORY
This is where it kinda fails. While it stills remains the same story telling vibe as the one before it, it just like the battle system takes time to really get in. It's pretty good for a GBA game again, because most games for the GBA tend to go down the gutter drain because lack of graphic engine. But, all and all it's no Final Fantasy... But that's okay
If you liked the first and you have a GBA there's really no reason to pick this one up. but, one more thing, don't buy this game for your six
year old kid. I seriously doubt they would be able to grasp the meaning of this game, let alone understand it.
AGE GAP- 9-99 years of age
But, it's pretty good. BEST GBA game yet.
Sincerly,
Ichigo Defender
This game is awesome!!!!

I recently purchased this game and frankly this game is AWESOME!!!!!!.The story is good the gameplay is great and the graphics are flawless. Some of the cutscenes are even like Ps2 graphics!!.the fighting system is card based but dont let that fool you because it is still very good.it I never thought square enix and disney could make a kingdomhearts for the GBA that is this good but it looks like they did.I think its safe to say that Square and disney have created another masterpiece.
