this game is so fun youll probubly be like me and not put it down for hours at a time!!! the new battle system is hard but better than the firs games and if you beat the game you open the hole game over agin with a new player!! so far im stuck looking for a map card with the value of 9= if you play the game youll understand what i mean. if youve played the game and know where to find 9 cards realy easy [...]

This is a remake of kingdom hearts and i somehow don't like it. I much perfer the kh ps2 fan version with Nainme in it. But Nainme's younger sister Namine is in com so that perks the game up a bit!!!
IN KH2: Final countdown, Nainme no longer in love with Riku and after a year without him Riku finds shes with someone else, so he asks namine, nainme;s sister to help be together again. But because of sora being the keyblade master,( whom was once controlled by Nainme) every action sora made threatened namines life because of the hearts problem in her family(Nainme originally had half a heart but was restored by mickeys keyblade) So namine asked Riku she would help bring back nainmes memories about Riku but only if Riku would protect the younger sister of the superstar. Apparantly so he agrees, but Nainme(the reviewer) has not yet given information about, kh2: Final countdown yet so who knows wheather Riku and Nainme will be one again till september?!

Card Battle!? UGH! Horrible!

Poor quality game. They ruined the quality of the original game.
I only have it because I love the original and am a collector, and need complete series...

After playing the awesome Kingdom Hearts game for the PS2 and seeing the secret ending, I was really eager to see what happened next. However when I got this game I was dissapointed when I saw that the battle system was a bunch of cards and the levels are pretty much exactly the the same as the PS2 version. Yes, there is a fairly good story line, but playing the same levels with worse graphics turns me off. Overall if your looking for a REALLY good game get Kingdom Hearts for the PS2 or wait for Kingdom Hearts 2 to come out.

This game is O.K. One of the good things is that it picks up right where KH1 left of, on the road after they caught up with Pluto. One of the bad things is that you have to use a card system that totaly sucks. Plus there are no new worlds except for Twilight Town. there might be on or two more but i can't remember. this game is totaly about sora's memory. all you ever do is go to the worlds that he remembers. The "Unknown" Organization is about the only new thing in the entire game. At the end of the game you have to fight this hard guy from the Organization. After you beat the Sora part of the game you get to play as Riku. But the only cool thing about that is you can jump higher. the only thing that you do is go backwards through the worlds that you went through with sora. King Mickey is in the Riku Version though. The only reason I would recommend this game is because I think it links KH1 and KH2 together.

I got this game expecting it to have a battle system like Kingdom Hearts. I was greatly disappointed and angry. Whoever came up with this battle system should be fired. It's terrible. You fight alone and you have stupid cards that need to be "reloaded." Everytime you reload, the reload period is longer. I spent ten minutes knocking Hades's health down by one quarter and while I was reloading he managed to heal it. I'm thankful I only rented this pathetic game. (By the way, I'm not Aaron Johnson, this is my father's account)

The graphics were incredibly slick, for a GBA game... just like Square Enix has managed to do time and time again. The storyline was also good, in that someone completely new to Kingdom Hearts could play through Chain of Memories and still have a vague idea of what was going on. [That, and the Kingdom Hearts veterans could get a peek at what to expect in the new installment of Kingdom Hearts II.] The characters are completely memorable, like beforehand, and the sound is as good as it can get.

Nomura Tetsuya's insistence on adding new sorts of battle systems and gameplay involvement, though, has been lacking lately. Incorporating cards into battles and creating random encounters in which you run into your enemy's pixels are good enough for a GBA game, I suppose, but I find that tying in these bits in Kingdom Hearts II will be difficult. Mr. Nomura might also lose some of his younger audience, as well, because the gameplay is difficult to pick up. [Although I'm sure that many dedicated Kingdom Hearts fans forced themselves to learn for the sake of progressing the story.]
