I played this with my 4 year old son and he thoroughly was mesmerized. The game details 4 emergency situations that result from a meteor shower. You get to rescue animals in the Australian Outback, hikers stranded in a canyon, skiers/hikers caught in an avalanche, and people caught in a movie studio hit by a tidal wave. The graphics are great - better than the cartoon. My son wanted to do it over and over again. The messages are positive because it features rescue workers savings lives of people and animals.

My 4 year old son spent his own birthday money on this and it was not wasted! He loves it and it's a great game. Challenging enough to stay interesting but not too difficult for a 4 year old. By the way, his 12 year old brother likes it too. I love the adventure and the positive messages of the game, although he did drive me nuts in the car singing 'no one gets left behind!' over and over for at least 20 minutes.
Son can complete at 3 and 1/2 years old

My son has been playing Meteor Madness and Tremor Trouble for over a month. He can complete almost ALL the levels by himself as long as I sit with him and show him how to do them the first time.
This software is one of the things I can give my son to do where I can have a 1/2 hour or more to cook or complete paperwork and he is entertained.
I highly recommend the software with the caveat to remember you'll probably need to guide your kid(s) through it the first time. After that, they have no trouble. Funny thing is my son can now type his name on the computer and can't yet write it!

My 3 year old son got this for a christmas present and he loves it. It doesn't take long to learn how to play, which is sometimes rare to find. The different levels of play come in handy when you notice that your child has almost mastered the game. This is one of his favorite things to play.

I gave this game to my son as an early birthday present. He's almost four and loves the Rescue Heroes. The reviews I read were mixed so I decided to buy it anyway. I'm really glad I did. Sure it's challenging, but it's a good excuse for the parents to get involved. First I did the hard parts for him, to show him what needed to be done. Then I guided him through them and finally he ended up doing it all by himself. He was so proud when he accomplished the hard tasks that he couldn't do at first!
Unlike most computer games this one requires the use of the arrow keys instead of the mouse. Well, it's always nice to learn new skills.
I can't wait to give my son the two other RH games I baught for his birthday. I have no doubt he'll love them too.

Outstanding play value as the player has a productive purpose:
to rescue. Easy for child to grasp. Well executed and allows
child to repeat a game at any level.

We have had hours of fun playing this game together. We have two grandsons, aged 7 & 3. They have enjoyed becoming the Pirate King over and over again.
It has just the right amount of challenges and the fact that you can remodel your ship has been a source of joy for our 3 year old grandson. You can also print your achievement certificates and copies of your ships. It was well worth the money! If you want hours of fun with your 3 to 8 year olds buy it and you too, can become the Pirate King!
As an adult some of the conversational dialogue is tediously repetitious.
My children love it, and it works on our computer.

I purchased this game for my 8-year-old son for his birthday--mainly because he's been getting it from the library on and off for about a year now and I'm getting tired of having to renew it. He loves it that much. He also likes the Pirate Raider; but evidently the Battle Castle has more things you can do. Even my 12-year-old plays it occasionally. Our computer is older and can't run some of the new games, but this one works fine.

My son has been playing this game for about 10 months and it is still his favorite. He just turned 4, and it is hard enough to keep him interested but not so hard that he gets frustrated.

Anything Rescue Heroes is a hit with my kids and me. I like the non-violent orientation of the toys and games. The kids really enjoy the different scenarios and the badges they can print out. Pretty easy to use. My 7 year old is much more proficient than my 5 year old but if you have a kids who already plays video games or gameboy they should have no problem with this game.
