Crystal is the best! I started out liking pokemon from playing this. There are so much fun things to do like...Fun stuff! I like it as much as Ruby and Saphire. And you can finally be a girl! Yay! I wish I had this. but I 'm saving for it.

This is the best of all the Pokemon Games. The Pokemon move when you look at there stats and some of they are great. You can easily get over one hundred Pokemon. But you can't get certain Pokemon that are found in Gold and Silver verions. The easiest one of the two legendary bird to catch is Lugia because you have two get all the Dog Pokemon which is hard. I only have two of the three and I have not seen the thrid. Other than that is the best of all the Pokemon games!

pokemon goods and pokemon bads

Here are some bads:it is imposible to catch Celibi, you can't catch Flaffy. Goods:it is easier to catch Suicune and here is a tip when one of the balls (pokeball, greatball, etc.) is in the air press B and keep it down until eiter it explodes (ball breaks) or you catch it. This works in red version too. I am not sure about the other versions.

A fun game. (especially if you're into Pokémon) A bunch of new advancements from Gold and Silver, though same story idea. Play as boy or girl and you and your pokémon fight to be the best.

These days it seems there's no middle opinion on the pokemon games, you either love 'em or loath 'em. The last few games have been good, I know some people would beg to differ, and say they're awful or even great; however this game seems to be the pick of the pokemon crop. No matter which side you're on you should pick this one up, rent it, buy it, steal it from your little brother, I don't care how you get it ,just play it.
The world of pokemon has changed in the crystal version, dramatically from red,blue, and yellow; and quite a bit from gold and silver. For example if you've been burried underground for the last 3 years and haven't tried gold and silver; I'm glad to inform you that there is now a whole new world, called Johto, also there are one hundred new pokemon to catch. Not to metion there are two new pokemon types Dark and Steel. Also pokemon can now lay eggs and give birth to new pokemon species, such as the annoyingly cute pichu. If you have played gold and silver you probably thought that was all pointless that I told you that. Well I have good news in store for you too. Crystal gives you the oppertunity to catch the elusive water type, Suicune, in tin tower after defeating the wise trio. Also you will meat Eusine the excentric, purple plad wearing, Suicune fanatic. Not to mention the biggest change "The Battle Tower" in Olivine City, which allows you to compete for useful items in diferent level rooms. You get the prize after defeating seven consecutive trainers. Also trainers now have new pokemon, the gyms are more challenging, especially Claire's(Dragon trainer). Also after defeating Ash you meet the move teacher in Goldenrod City. The move teacher can teach thunderbolt, flamethrower, and ice beam to a pokemon for a low fee. Last but not least certain pokemon learn new moves now, like Suicune learns bubblebeam at level 11. Well obviously a lot has changed and I leave you with one statement. The choice is clear, Crystal

Better than Gold and Silver, but not by much

One of the most distinctive feature about Pokemon Crystal vs. Pokemon Silver and Gold is the female character. That, I think, is my favorite part as well. Also, there is a new battle tower available, however I don't like it very much. There are more Pokemon than Gold and Silver, but that is basically it. Otherwise, they are almost the same game. If you already own Gold and Silver, note that the only advantage to Pokemon Crystal is that you can create a female character. There isn't much of a point of getting it other than that. In my opinion, the game could have been better if Nintendo made a few more changes to Crystal to give a better reason for many customers to buy it.
Pros:
1) Female Character
2) New battle tower
3) Some maps are different than Gold and Silver
4) Ability to breed Pokemon
5) Day/Week/Time settings
6) Day and night effects
Cons:
1) Too similar to gold and silver

By the way, for those who are curious, when you want to battle someone who has Pokemon Gold or Silver, and you have crystal with the female character, the female character simply turns into a male character. >.> strange...

Almost Perfect

I had looked forward to the day this game would come out, and it finally came. This is a kind of game that you play once, and you are absolutely hooked on, but once you win there is nothing else to do (literally). The second time you play it, you already know all of the tricks, so it doesn't thrill you. But, if you like Pokemon games (everything is based on what YOU decide) then you should DEFINITELY try it out. Personally I don't love Pokemon, but I love these games where you decide what to do and you can't win (although you can conquer many things throughout your journey). It is a truly wonderful game, but it isn't to die for.

Pokemon Crystal

It's a fun game to own and play just like Pokemon Yellow,its counterpart from the previous series of three pokemon games. Only certain aspects of game play are negatives such as the time aspect and daily events as well as having to chase the legendary pokemon unlike in Pokemon Yellow. Missing certain events and having to wait literally a week sometimes to return to them is slightly annoying as is having to capture certain pokemon during specific times of day as they are in some cases specifically nocturnal or their percent in a given area is extremely low. Other than these things the game plays very well and the improvement that you can select to be a male or female trainer unlike Pokemon Yellow is great. Seeing each pokemon in their given coloration is really nice just like it was in Pokemon Yellow too. The added new types and moves are also a plus. Overall a well worth buy for a Pokemon fan.

I loved the Gold and silver games, and when this came out, I was all over it. This is easily the best pokemon game ever, with 16 gym leaders and 2 different regions and only 250 or so pokemon (so it's easier to catch 'em all, but not too hard), this game has more content than any pokemon game before or after it. Amazing. One of these days I'll have to get mine out again.
