This is a one of a kind skateboarding game! Ive never played anything like it! The gameplay is awesome! it'll keep you entertained for hours on end! even if you do manage beating the game theres tons of secret levels and charaters that are to be gotten! I like how its challenging but not so hard it gets anoying. The triks you can pull of are sick! the levels are larg with tons of places to pull off your greatest moves! they even have secret areas that can only be accsesed by becoming possesed! getting possesed happens when you pull off a combo move with four tricks in it. it's the tightest game ever! you dont even need to be into skateboarding to like this game! All my freinds and I agree its better than tony hawk! if your planning on buying a game... BUY THIS ONE! I promise you wont regret it! By far the best game ive played in a long time!

Grind Sessions is a great game but is it as good as THPS?

After reading the reviews for Grind Sessions (which I already own I was just surfing) I saw that ever person said it surpasssed Tony Hawk Pro Skater. I have to disagree with this. GS does have THPS on moves but THPS2 will has more moves than GS (has anybody tried double taps on THPS 2 theres a bunch of moves that weren't in the first). The levels in GS are also a LOT bigger than in both Tony Hawks and some of them are a lot better (lets face it the Dream House kicks). But I THPS kills GS in areas such as graphics, gameplay, the skaters available, control ect. Don't get me wrong I love Grind Sessions I played it for almost a mounth straight but then I got the Demo level for THPS2 about two weeks ago and I haven't even touched it since. If you can only have ONE skate game then wait .............. and get THPS2. Of course thats my opinion you do what you want.

sweet sweet session

Grind Session is by far the best skateboarding game I've ever played. The controls are easy to remember, and the bank of tricks is amazing. Also, it's fun to try to pull of the four-line-long "super tricks" which not only defy gravity and human acrobatics, but also give out mind-boggling amounts of points, and a time bonus, which is much appreciated. I'm a big RPG fan, and it's great to just play this game, and give my brain a break. Me and my friends sit around and play this game for hours, trying to pull off the most amazing tricks you have ever seen in your whole life. I really recommend this game to any skate game fan, or someone who just wants a pure-fun no-brainer.

Better than Tony Hawk. PERIOD!

Even though some people consider Shaba Studios an imitator, they designed a top-notch skateboard game that not only has real, accurate reproductions of skateboard locations, top notch pro skaters, lots of secret areas, and a loaded move list (over 100 moves available), but has an incredibly high replay value, making you want to go back for more and figuring out how to accomplish those hard-to-do "tech lines". I would have to say that this is an enhanced version of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater with more gameplay, an excellent soundtrack, and more options (including the Create-A-Skater mode). Enough said!

way better than hawk

I'm so sick of Tony Hawk. This game is way better. If you never heard of Tony Hawk, you'd think this game was way better. I'd totally buy it.

Grind Sesson better than Tony Hawk?

Of course it being a new game you usually think it is alredy a better game. But Grind Sesson is more than a new game. With the old Tony Hawk you had "competions" at any old level. In this you're actuallt at a Vans Triple Crown Park and go through the real challenges like vert, street, and best trick. Tony Hawk wasn't that in depth. The custom skater could be a little better but graphics, and the real pro sk8ers are things that kepp the game good. Unforunately Tony 2 will blow away Grind Sesson but this is still a good game.

the best game i have ever played

I played the playstation demo cd version which has only 1 level and 2 pro sk8ters to choose from and it is sooo much fun. My game partner Eddy and I played for hours just on the demo alone. I live in the SF Bay area and the Mission BART Station was so realistic I thought I was there. Tony Hawk's may be more realistic as far as falling off all the time doing basic moves, but this one lets you enjoy yourself with cool tricks - much more game playing entertainment. WOW!

This is the best skate boarding game ever!

It's not all hard to control like tony hawk so you can actually have fun playing instead of being 1 inch from tv grunting on the control. I liked this game so much, that when i rented it (i dont own it yet) i rented it 4 times in a row.
