Its such an awesome game with its 9 levels. It has lots of glass to break through. Photo shoots,8 awesome pros. you even get to go to the Slam City Jam where you can pull off 1080's on their halfpipe. I loved this game its the most awesome game ever it even beats Tony Hawks Pro Skater!!!

What a combination of speed and power. This game rocks and the sound track sets it in a league of its own. Skate Boarding has finally gotten justice in a video game and it is Grind Session! All of the posers can step aside!
less mainstream than tony hawk

Grind session has far better animation, art and tricks than tony hawk or pro skater. I also enjoyed the secret level and music variety!
Better than THPS

Even though THPS has more levels and somewhat better graphics, GS is a better game (in some cases). It is way easier to do and land a trick. Less level than THPS, but more chalenges to get to the next level. Some levels are easier than on THPS. If you want a little to much of a realistic game buy Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 or 2. If you want a more fun, less realistic game buy Grind Session.
It's alright....

Yeah it's pretty fun, but I think THPS is still better. When I rented it I didn't play it much though. The graphics to this game could have been a lot better, they were pretty glitchy and grainy, the courses are pretty lame, nothing really inovative at all. And after I played a demo of THPS 2 which is coming this August, I knew I would rather wait for that, then buy this one. In fact I had a heck of a lot more fun with that demo than this entire game. The one thing that stood out from the rest of the skating games was the soundtrack, they did a very good job on that.
Good game, nothing great though. Only buy if your a die hard skater fan..

This is a great game overall. One thing I liked better about Grind Session than I did Tony Hawk was that it's easier to land your tricks, the game always lands you wheels down so you can have a lot more fun worrying about playing the game and not trying to land. I've heard some complaints about the graphics, but for me they worked just fine, not overly flashly, kind of gritty and real, like skateboarding is. The only drawback is that there is no two player Graffiti game, but hey if they added that then the game would definitely be a Tony Hawk rip-off. Other than that, this is loads of fun and it's got great replay value.
Not worth the time and money

Grind Session looks like a new differint style Skateboarding game to get your hands on. It is if your getting sick of THPS style however there is a down side: The graphics are very primitive, however, I thought the skateboarders wipe outs were somewhat life-like. The music sounds like elevator bands trying to preform rock songs. The sound is somewhat OKAY but sounds like it was produced by banging on trash cans and slapping wood on bricks. All in all i would say this game is about 2 hours of fun, and then youll froget about it.
very boarring game

About a month ago, I submitted a review stating that Tony Hawk 2 was the best skater game ever. At the time, I did not own Grind Session. After purchasing GS, I have to retract my previous review and state the GS is the best. I played GS for a while, then decided to play Tony Hawk. I thought that Tony Hawk was weak GS. I would recommend GS over Tony Hawk to anyone looking to purchase either one of the two.
