This game is a LOT of fun. If you're expecting a hardcore Wrestling game, this isn't it. It's more of an action/fighting game, somewhat like Power Stones or even Super Smash Brothers. Plus it's got the WHOLE cast of the Simpsons doing the voices, and some of the lines are simply hilarious. I find myself restarting matches just to hear the random dialogue lines at the beginning.

There's a decent number of moves, with grapples, off-the-rope moves, jumping attacks, in addition to the 'standard' attacks. Each attack has a 'modifier' button, so that if you're in the ropes, you hit either Square, Triangle or Circle (for low-medium-high) to get an increasingly deadly move. Same can be said for jumping attacks, and grappling attacks too. Also, you can use the Square/Tri/Circ alone to get different moves - and some of those are really REALLY funny. The 'circle' moves are different for each character, so that the characters do entirely different things: Bumblebee Man drops his chihuahua that chases you, Frink drops a gadget that pops open to make a landmine, toy exploding robot or flying missile - and it's a blast. Especially fun for 2-player action.

Go get it!

What do you get when you put the cast of "The Simpsons" in a wrestling ring?

Hilarity.

"Simpson's Wrestling" (PlayStation) is a welcome addition to the crowded line of wrestling video games. What sets this game apart from the rest is the inventive moves and weapons, and witty commentary by the show's actual voice actors.

Even if you've upgraded to the PlayStation 2, this is still a fun game to play with your friends. The only shortcoming is that's not a very entertaining one-player game, but I suppose that's true with most sports video games.

Tired of boring old head-locks and Full Nelsons? Well, this is the game for you. Just wait until you take a beating from Groundskeeper Willie's swinging rake. Or see what happens when you catch a whiff of Barney's beer-drenched burp. The most devastating move is Homer's spinning fists of fury - get tagged by one of these babies and you're in a world of hurt.

So, if you're longing for the days of Nintendo's "Pro Wrestling", and Starman's sweet summersault head-kick, you should add "Simpson's Wrestling" to your collection today!

The long awaited game is here....and it rocks! The challenges of becoming champion of Springfield may be too difficult for some, but the overall plot is great. Unlike most wrestling games (Smackdown2), you have to sit through boring and long plots before you can even fight. With the three levels of becoming the champ, it makes it all much harder to conquer it. Although I would love to see all the characters of the series in this game, I still recommend it. This is a great title to get carpal tunnel to as it is addicting.

Simpsons Wrestling - Why does everyone hate it?

My first playstation game was the Simpsons Wrestling. I 've read all of the reviews on it, but everyone seems to hate it. I loved all parts about it, but it was a wonder I bought it at all with all of these other reviews that don't like it. I got it for 30 bucks, and it was completely worth it. I love fighting games and the simpsons both, and this was the perfect combination. Being Barney and Moe was a great experience with different places to fight, and the gas attack by Barney was clever. Find the codes somewhere, then it's even Moe(sorry , that was a stupid joke) fun. To put it short, the Simpson's Wrestling (prepare for another stupid joke) hits a Homer.

First, let me say,Its good to have a Simpson's game on the Playstation. And this is a good game, especially for the Simpson's fans. The audio is witty, with lots of dialogue created just for this game. There are many possible charachters. BUT.. There just seems like there was so much more possibility. Why are there no 'out of ring' moves? At the least, you should be able to jump from the top rope, instead of just jumping up and down on a charachter's head. The graphics are a minus, also, not up to usual PSX standards. More for the Simpsons fans, less for the wrestling or general fight game fan

For Fans only

This game is hilarious and was worth my money...BUT its only for the hardcore Simpsons fans such as myself. The voices are great...the graphics are a little edgy but good but its the details that make it all good. When looking at the backrounds you can see everyone watching from Dr Nick Riviera to Ralph. Everyone has funny moves that relates to their charactor too. Buy it if you love the Simpsons...Rent it if you like them and dont waste your time if you cant stand them.

One of the best Simpsons games yet

Unlike most games, Simpsons Wrestling gets more fun the more you play. As you mature in playing the game, you'll learn how to grapple, do moves off the ropes, and take advantage of your taunts. it is especially fun to play with friends. You start the game as a new challenger and can pick from eight players (Bart, Homer, Marge, Lisa, Krusty, Groundskeeper Willy, Apu, and Barney). After beating these players, you go on to fighting hidden players such as the Bumblebee Man, Flanders, Professer Frink, and Moe. The hardest fighters to beat are th two men teams. (Mr. Burns and Smithers, Kang and Kodos, and Itchy and Scratchy) It's twice as hard to beat them because they both fight you. Each player has different moves. The simpliest move needs the least energy while the hardest move needs the most energy. For example, Bart's easiest move is just a punch. Then he could hit you with a rock using a slingshot. His hardest move is when he rides a skateboard and hurts anyone he hits. Heres a code: circle,up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right. This opens a new option: Bonus Match Up. Here ou can pick your wrestler from anyone in the game, your opponents, and the arena to fight it in.
