This combines the best of my two worlds. Simpsons and Wrestling. This game is so cool. There are characters to unlock and soooooo many cool moves to learn. This game is a MUST have for every Simpsons fan. -TeenHack

This game is hilarious and was worth my money...BUT its only for the hardcore Simpsons fans such as myself. The voices are great...the graphics are a little edgy but good but its the details that make it all good. When looking at the backrounds you can see everyone watching from Dr Nick Riviera to Ralph. Everyone has funny moves that relates to their charactor too. Buy it if you love the Simpsons...Rent it if you like them and dont waste your time if you cant stand them.

Simpons Wrestling--BIG disappointment

The long-awaited "Simpsons Wrestling" (Activision) was released this week and in the words of Bart Simpson (episode 5F07, "Miracle on Evergreen Terrace") ... "It's ..."

As a fan of both The Simpsons and wrestling, this was truly the perfect combo. However, after almost a year of waiting for this game, it is a major disappointment to say the least.

First and honestly ... it's like playing a game from your old Nintendo system. For PSX, the graphics are very poor--with, while during combat, characters that occasionally transparently overlap each other. Didn't we see this type of glitches in old Commodore games? As for the characters themselves, the graphics are choppy and uneven with Groundskeeper Willy looking the worst of the lot.

The game-play is also quite bad. Controlling your given resident of Springfield is a hard task and making contact with your opponent can sometimes be worse--occasionally, opponents will simply move into a dead space in the ring and start swinging at air. Again, didn't we see this back in the 80s?

This should actually be called "Simpsons Fighting" because it is anything but wrestling. Actually, the name "Wrestling" in the title was probably just a way to cash-in on wrestling's current popularity.

Barney swings beer mugs, Krusty wields a giant hammer, Marge has a frying pan while Kent Brockman, almost unheard over the sound effects and music, does occasional

commentary. But overall, the moves are pretty basic and boring. The game is also void of a referee; "wrestlers" themselves make the count when they go for a pin attempt.

And being The Simpsons, most fans would expect a great deal of humor--nope. While the taunts are, at times, remotely humorous, the game simply lacks humor that you would generally expect with any Simpsons product. The funniest aspect of the game is when you face Marge--she instantly releases Maggie who runs and clings to your leg, slowing you down. Yes ... this is the funniest aspect of the game.

Bottom line ... Simpsons and wrestling fans alike will hate this game. To paraphrase The Comic Book Guy: "Worst Game Ever!"

Alright, first of all, I don't watch the Simpsons, that much anyway, I do sometimes. But anyway, this game is ok. Well, I didn't buy it, I rented it. Me and my friend were in homeroom and my other friend tells us to look at this magazine, so we looked at it. It said Simpsons Wrestling was coming out sometime in Spring. And the first thing I said was, "I bet that's one of the gayest games ever." I was wrong. It's got good graphics. It reminds me of South Park the game. And then the controls, there aren't very many, there is only a punch/kick/hit/or whatever button. There is a move where you throw something at somebody, for example, Krusty the clown throws a pie. And Bart shoots his slingshot. But anyway there is a button where you pull something out and hit people with it. And all that kind of stuff. But if you're expecting this to be like a WWF or WCW game or something, forget it. Just forget it right now. No bodyslams, no special moves, not anything like that. I am gonna go ahead and leave now so peace!

SIMPSONS WRESTLING--A MEDIOCRE TITLE

yes, being a Simpsons fan and also wrestling, I figured I couldn't lose. I just picked it up today. OK. Its a PS one game and plays good on my PS 2, but--The graphics are reminiscent of Sega Genesis, if you can believe that. The quality is overall just OK. Gameplay is somewhat redundant too, it is fun but its the same thing over and over. It sure is cool that you can be characters like Barney though. OK, so everything is pretty mediocre I guess I am just spoiled on graphics like in SSX and ZOE. Do I recommend it? Yeah, because its a Simpsons game after all. The sound bites are pretty damn funny. Is it worth 40 bucks? well I wouldnt go THAT far. But its pretty fun. I don't regret getting it. Maybe you could rent it and see for yourself.

Not Sure

As a wrestling game Simpsons doesnt really cut it but it does provide loads of fun. Simpsons Wrestling has all of the characters from the television show so everyone will be able to choose a player that they like. This game is more based around fun than serious playing, so if you want to wrestle seriously i would recommend that you buy Smackdown2. I feel that they have brought out a lighthearted version to entertain everyone and keep the younger end of the market happy, although i play it and im 23

Simpson's Wrestling

First, let me say,Its good to have a Simpson's game on the Playstation. And this is a good game, especially for the Simpson's fans. The audio is witty, with lots of dialogue created just for this game. There are many possible charachters. BUT.. There just seems like there was so much more possibility. Why are there no 'out of ring' moves? At the least, you should be able to jump from the top rope, instead of just jumping up and down on a charachter's head. The graphics are a minus, also, not up to usual PSX standards. More for the Simpsons fans, less for the wrestling or general fight game fan

Insanity Ensues!

This game is a LOT of fun. If you're expecting a hardcore Wrestling game, this isn't it. It's more of an action/fighting game, somewhat like Power Stones or even Super Smash Brothers. Plus it's got the WHOLE cast of the Simpsons doing the voices, and some of the lines are simply hilarious. I find myself restarting matches just to hear the random dialogue lines at the beginning.

There's a decent number of moves, with grapples, off-the-rope moves, jumping attacks, in addition to the 'standard' attacks. Each attack has a 'modifier' button, so that if you're in the ropes, you hit either Square, Triangle or Circle (for low-medium-high) to get an increasingly deadly move. Same can be said for jumping attacks, and grappling attacks too. Also, you can use the Square/Tri/Circ alone to get different moves - and some of those are really REALLY funny. The 'circle' moves are different for each character, so that the characters do entirely different things: Bumblebee Man drops his chihuahua that chases you, Frink drops a gadget that pops open to make a landmine, toy exploding robot or flying missile - and it's a blast. Especially fun for 2-player action.

Go get it!

When I first rented the game I was happy. I thought Simpsons great material, how wrong I was. To first start off the graphics are extremely poor. They looked like Sega Gen. graphics. The vision is very fuzzy (or it could be my TV). Next the game play is poor too, the way you move on the screen, you don't have good attacks in the game, and the buttons. The characters are another issue. The voices are okay at best. When they do their "taunt" the sayings are really dumb. The weapons each character has is so dumb. It's nothing like the Simpons on TV! There is more but for now I have gave you a sample, I'll make you the judge of the rest. You might like but what I have to say is RENT THE GAME FIRST!!!!!

it is a bad game dont buy it please
