this game is good. I love giving starships refits and building soverign class ships all classes of starships are great to build each one has a specific ability that sets it apart from the others such as the b'rel class cloaking device all in all this is a really good game!

This game is not fast paced or exciting, but it is a game of strategy. The player has to become a rich admiral. It is very difficult to decide which systems are important and which are not.

This is a terrible game, has potential but the gameplay was awful, slow and lagging even with a new G4 I was impressed at how poorly it performed. It seemed like a novel idea but it just could'nt pull through. Maybe if it didn't freeze all the time I would be patient enough to sit through the constant lagging....

BOOOOOR-ing.

How bad is it? Where do I even START! Low resolution, 2D graphics, and cheezy sound effects lead into ZERO interactivity on "game play." Spend an eternity simply watching your tiny, 2D ship, and reading Star Trek cliche's in text format. No improvement from the original, with no documentation---their Website's even offline! At best, a tiny (50% of my screen) screensaver, for fans of Next Generation's computer interfaces only. Don't waste your time.

Well i'll give it this

Considering how bad the first one was I didn't expect its sequel to be any different. It wasn't combines the worst of all worlds, chessy soudtrack, chessy graphics and a missions operations manual that defifes all logic and reason.

Wait for Dom Wars

If Domminion wars turns out to be a great game, I might buys this just for making my own ships and the importing them into DOMWARS, but I'm going to wait untill DOMWARS comes out.

Expansion, but not worth it

I was excited about the STSC and got it as soon as it came out. That was a dumb purchase. You get to play adventures but all you do is click and you can walk away for a few minutes. There is no real adventure. STSC Warp 2 is the exact same thing. With the exception of a few ships. Don't waste your time.

a nice companion

I find this product doesn`t make as much a game as it makes a companion. I have it running on my PowerBook when I am on the move and on either my Windows mashine or Mac at home depending which one I use for "real" work (usually I use the mac for real work for reasons only the mac user understands) It takes only a few minutes to set the gameplay up and then I just let it run. It can take some hours and sometimes it takes even a day for them to complete a mission so its more like this aquarium you can watch the fishe swim in while you do your work ;-) I must say that I compliment Simon and Shuster especially for releasing it on BOTH Mac and Windows. It's also nice to be able to use the SAME product on both platform (it's a hybrid CD) great fun!
