A Lousy Game

I've played so many games on the Dreamcast that are worth spending your money on...but not Trickstyle. I agonized to get through this game. The graphics are excellent, but the gamplay is awful and totally unfun. I can't even explain why, but this game just made my stomach turn. It sounded cool, but ended up really anticlimactic.

Best game ever

Trick Style is a game that puts you in the game. The tracks are awesome and plentiful, with different routes and shortcuts. Another good idea is The Guide he's this guy that kinda shows you the ropes. I've heard some reviews about the track Japan 5, saying it was impossible. Let me tell you it's not. The control that the Dreamcast has is amazing. I'm just glad I didn't have to wait for this one.

Not a buyer

This was the first game I bought. I bought it because I have heard good things about it. But as I soon realised it is not a very good game. I beat the whole game includeing all challanges and japan race #5 in about a week and a half tops. It was fun for that time but the game is not replayable after you have conquered it. I personally like it when you win money for racing not being rewarded with learning a new trick. Also I hate how once you learn the 3 flips and the quiro 360 (or whatever) those are the only tricks you need to know because you can do them both on most ramps and get a lot of points.

The greatest racing game ever

I have been a big fan of acclaim ever since they came out with Extreme G(another futuristic racing game) and their new game is even better. There is absolutley nothing wrong with this game except for the difficulty. However, I found the built-in guides that trained you and taught you what to do were very helpful. I ocassionally had trouble hooking on to the magnarails, but that in no way lowers my rating. The gameplay isn't incredibly responsive, but what do you expect for a hover-board. After all, you are floating. If you aren't impressed by the graphics or sound, you will be delighted by the enourmous replay value, depth, and difficulty(which adds to the challenge).

This is the first ever game I had for the DC and it rules. Now I own Hydro Thunder, Ready 2 Rumble, and Sonic Adventure, and Tricksyle may be the best. This game has great boards and tricks yet not everyone likes it. You may be one of those peoples so rent it first.

If your friend owns it just borrow it and him borrow one of yours

The best game for Dreamcast, never got boring

I've had this game for nine weeks and I still like it. The tricks for your character must be earned by winning challenges, which will take a while. The first set of track races are rather easy, but as the game goes on it will get harder and harder. I recommend a VMU with this game

I would love to see a sequel!

This is still one of my fave DC racing games. There's a futuristic design style that... isn't poorly created, like most games, this is very cool, it feels like a future world. Also, as you're riding, when you fall from a high height or low height, this gives a sense of reality, like you are actually living the opening scene from the original 'Rollerball' film or a hoverboard version of 'Bullit's car chase. I hated having to do Tricks, so maybe a sequel could change the name to "____Style". Thankfully, I didn't have to do tricks much at all. There aren't too many tracks, some feel the same, but they all have worthwhile, unique elements. Racing against a friend may not be easy, as they should learn the course beforehand. I didn't feel the computer was cheating me out of a win I deserved, I feel this game has a fairly normal difficulty level -- it suited me right. I wished I could play tracks as difficult as the last one! Online play for a sequel would be great, can you imagine going against a capable human player on Japan #5 or so? During it I felt as though I was actually playing this game, instead of just driving past scenery with other character models. There are some dodgy control issues, but how should a hoverboard control? The control has equally beneficial abilities too. I enjoyed the Challenges a fair amount too, the VMU game is to be ignored... I disliked the obnoxious characters, and didn't find them 'cool', they are one-note stereotypes and pretty much just dress in a GAP/popstar/jock/foreign-superman way, I wanted to see futuristic punk clothes or something! You may not like this game, but I love it. The music could be better, but it could be worse too, it does what it needs to do, it can be somewhat ambient in it's own techno way, it could've been as unique as the game itself. I wish I could save cheat options like no time limit. This would be an ideal Xbox racer, but it's gorgeous on DC. At least rent to see if it's for you.

Secret Codes makes it easier

A few people don't like the game because its difficult to beat. But if you go to any of the popular game websites, you can get free codes which alow you to win ever race, select every hover board, and every stage.

The graphics are great and you get to do a lot of outrageous moves.

Futuristic Racing it is, Fun its not!

A title such as Trickstyle has great potential but suffers for designers with little vision! When playiing this game you WILL get the feeling that it needs more. You will go away feeling short changed. The graphics are cool but the control is not. this game is basically flat with little replay value, the tracks are TOO SHORT and there is no real element in the game that makes it a worthy purchase.

PLAY BEFORE YOU BUY!!!!!!!!
