Still setting the bar

I've read where people say this is too hard. Not true if you understand what it means to race and how to race. You should not be able to butcher turns, run off the track and still win (as you can in other titles). One of the best feelings in this game, this platform if you will, is winning a difficult race. Yes - you may have to run it dozens of times to win it, but that's the fun and the challenge all rolled into one.

We all know the graphics are top-notch. We all know that damage is coming in the full version. We all know that the car selection is second to none (albeit, it can get a little tiresome racing, for example, Mini-Coopers). Let's not review this game as if it the final version. At $40, a tad expensive perhaps, but still the most realistic, beautiful and comprehensive racing game/simulator on the market.

Great game

I am a casual gamer who likes the stress relief of a good game. I have to say this is an excellent one. It is pretty easy to pick up so if you aren't playing for hours every day you can still sit down and race competitively. To top it off the look of the game is incredible! I would highly recommend this game to anyone who wants to race!

I'm not a gamer but wow

The graphics are simply unbelievable. I fooled a few people into believing the demo was a real race. The courses, cars and gameplay is also pretty good. If this is indication of things to come with the full version, I cannot wait.

Not like the old Gran Turismo games.

I recieved this game the other day and was so excited to get it open and play. The download was extremely long campared to recent games that had to download. The game itself is not what I expected from a Gran Turismo series. The graphics are great but the gameplay sucks. There is no damage to the vehicles. Which really takes away from the realism of racing. You can drive along the wall to go around corners. If I wanted to do that I would have stuck with Need for Speed games. If you hit another car it just bumps over. There are no upgrades in the game, you have to buy a car and drive it factory. That takes away from goals and the fun of fixing your car up.
I don't know about this one. I like the graphics, I don't think anyone can complain about that. I just wish they would have kept the game for realistic. I guess I should return all this stuff and buy a Xbox360.

first off Ill start with the unreasonable amount of time to install this small game. I was really excited to get this game- Im a gran turismo die hard so I couldnt wait to pop it in. ok so now I sit and wait 20 mins for it to install, oh wait now heres another 20 mins to update the playstation store and, no were still not done yet, another 20 mins to download something else wich i dont remember- by now i was too aggravated i just walked away and let it do its thing. so an hour later im really annoyed and i say to myself this better be good after all that. ok i do like the game and i wasnt aware that its really just a demo-i am aware now. i miss spending a hectic day or 2 to get your licenses and what i really miss is tuning of the car-a big incentive to get money. only now you have to save up $90 grand to buy a car to use in 1 race. but overall its fun to play and the new in car view is AWESOME. i love it. also i have the old driving force wheel wich i have NEVER been able to control the games with so i dont use it- i plugged that in and wow it actually helped me blast through tracks that i absolutely couldnt win before!! so now i use it everytime and its so realistic coupled with the in car view. the graphics are great but there is a lot of choppiness in things.nothing looks good to me after playing uncharted drakes fortune, the best ps3 game!. some views look killer others have like dotted white outlines on the cars and if you pay attention to the guages in the dash boards, they really arent correct except for the tachs. but i do like the game. lastly, something major has to be done with online play. its impossible to enjoy because of only one thing- the people you race are only on there just to play bumper cars. its extremely immature and unprofessional and it completely ruins a good thing. they ram the crap out of you- no penalty. you skim a wall- penalty. sony listen up- change this so people either have to behave or shut them down. lets grow up people. in general its cool- i drove some much all week that it feels like i was really driving in real life especially with the wheel. i drove myself into a huge headache from playing so much and my neck and shoulders were killing me!! so yes this i guess you could say is the most realistic driving simulator gran turismo has released but a lot needs work, some parts do remind me of overglorified gt4 graphics. but im just glad it wasnt 60 bucks

I must say the visuals on this game are second to none when it comes to racing games. The gameplay keeps the Gran Turismo feel. Online is simple but get's the job done, it's quick and easy to get into a match. My only complaint is that there is no voice chat online........I guess I'll have to wait for Gran turismo 5.

This is the best and most realistic racing game I ever play. It has the best graphic and dynamic. Great cars selection. The sounds and the handling of the cars are just as real as the real one. Also, the new in car view is so cool. Everything just respond the way you expected from a real car. A definite game to have on your shelf.

Very nice game, it's realistic and with excellente graphics the only thing i can complain is that there aren't much cars and it would be kind of nice a lot more options to personalize them.

wait for the real game

Absolutely stunning graphics and more realistic handling, but bear in mind that this is only the Prologue - a taste of things to come. Very limited cars and no tuning allowed :( I pretty much finished the game in 2 days.

I hope they offer the full game as a download at a reduced price if you already purchased the Prologue.
