ReVolt is an average racing game. The graphics are better than the PSX & N64 versions, but pale in detail and frame rate to the PC version. The controls are waaay too loose also. It's nothing spectacular.
GREAT GAME

I first got this game's demo from a cd that comes along with the dreamcast magazine. I liked the game so much I eventually bought it and couldn't be happier.
The controls are great, difficult at first maybe, but realistic and easily mastered. The graphics are superb, and the tracks are all unique and fun. Your opponent cars and your own can nab "pickups" along the course and fire firecrakers, leave oil slicks, shoot a photon like gun, among other weapons to slow the other cars. There are many modes: championship, single race, timed race, that once you've beaten unlock other tracks, and more sophisticated cars-about 25 in all, that have different feels racing. There is a decent track editor so you can design your own course. The music well suits the game and is nice turned up loud. Acclaim did a great job with this game.
Anyway, I hope I convinced you to try Re-volt out. I doubt it'll dissapoint.

This game is an uncontrollable mess. If you know anything at all about video games you will regret buying this. Try a real racing game like 4 Wheel Thunder ... now there's a GAME!
Not that great!

I got this as a gift and I must say that the graphics are cool but the gameplay take a lot out of the game. The controls are pretty hard to master but there are a ton of cars to choose from. All in all, had I bought this myself and not gotten it as a gift I woulda been upset.

The worst thing I did was buy this game. I should of had rented it but I didnt. TAKKE MY ADVICE, DO NOT BUT THIS GAME. There are no graphics, there is no good sound, and also the cars are so small. I made this mistake, dont let this happen to you.

Re-volt is an awesome 3-d remote control car racer simulation. You can make your own tracks and there is about 50 cars to choose from (if you beat the game). You start with 10 and you get 10 more every time you accomplish a trophy.
Fun and Realistic!

Excellent game. It takes time to master, but the graphics and responses of the car are very realistic. It is also fun and challenging since there are various courses and cars to be unlocked.

This is probably the best racing game for the Dreamcast console! The graphics are awesome and the gameplay is outstanding choose from about 40 remote control racers and about 10-15 tracks. You can even make your own track with the track maker. From supermarkets to ghost towns, this game blows other racing games out of the water!!!!
A must have for Dreamcast

This is a really great game. Being involved in real RC only makes it even more fun. Some of the cars are a bit strange (Panga, which is a panda bear on wheels) but all handle very close to real life RC cars. It's not too hard of a game once you get a feel for the cars and tracks, but it always has a good amount of challenge to it. The only minor problem I have with the game is with the menus. The only way to exit a race in progress (other than championship) is to return all the way to the title screen. Other than that I think this game is one of the best racers for DC.
