Could be much better...

I rented this game and beat it in 3 hours; that ought to give you an idea of it's longetivity. Aside that, the graphics are quite good, the sound is good, the controls are good but the gameplay is okay. What i mean by gameplay is that to learn a spell, you need to go through a dungeon and the rather stupid quests like finding "Hogwarts a History" for Hermione. Something that got me upset as well was that you had to learn spells that you did the game before! I would like to be able to keep the spells from last year and learn some from this year. Here's a list of what I want in the next game to sum it all up:

-More spells
-More opendness
-More like the book
-Better character models (Hermione looked like a zombie)
-Faster Quidditch (although Quidditch World Cup is coming out)
-Longer
-More loyal to the book rather than the film.

Cool!

I have a lot of fun doing this game, but I get scared at some points, like when you have to go downstairs alone, with all the ghosts and the knights that come to life when the moon shines on them...it's very scary...then at other times like daylight at Hogwarts, and Diagon Alley, I don't feel scared. Even though Harry has so MANY spells to cast, I still get scared...But I still recommend you play this game, the scary points are what make it exciting. Hope my review is helpful!

It's o.k.

Well, this game is pretty boring and there's not that much action, but if you like chalenges, this is the game. But The Chamber of Secrets for GBC( GameBoy Color) is the best. So if you have a gameboy get the one for gbc.

It's too hard.

It's pretty fun at first, but after a while it's acually kind of boring. I played it for a while, and it was fun until I just got stumped. In my opinion, it is just too hard. Otherwise, the graphics are pretty good, but not the best ever.(In the Prisoner of Azkaban, they look exactly like themselves)I'd give it 3 and a half stars. The sound is AMAZING! Overall, I'd give it three stars, but for now, I'm looking forward to the Prisoner of Azkaban.

another rental

Overall, this is a fun game. I couldn't put it down for the most part. But I have several complaints. It's challenging, and almost too challenging. I've gotten stuck at least 3or4 times and I'm not even halfway finished, mostly because of the parts when you have to sneak past people. After several tries at each part - when I had sneak past someone - I figured out the trick to it and could do it over and over again, np. It took me a long time to ge able to get past the Expelliarmus Challenge Chamber (just when you think that your finally finished with it, there's MORE. Although it was 'fun'.... a little). And I don't think that there's anybody out there who'se gotten past the prefects in the restriced section on the first seven or eight tries, even using stink pellets and luminous balloons. And it shoudn't have been rated E. well, maybe E10+. But don't get it expecting a seven or six year old to be able to play it without an adult helping throughout the most of the game. And don't get it if you're expecting it to follow the book/movie, which it hardly does at all...
But it's definately worth renting.

A Great Game

With outstanding graphics and a high fun factor, this game is definitely on my favorites list.

Game Basics: You control Harry and make him go where you please. You can make him talk to people, and *duh* fight evil with magic. You can compete in Quidditch matches which I found quite fun. You also have to go to classes at his school such as "Flying Lessons" and you get grades for how well you complete the course. In other classes, such as Charms Class, you have to enter an area and face puzzling situations in order to find a spell book so you can learn a new spell. Hermoine will also ask Harry to sneak out a few times at night to go to the library. Harry has to sneak past guards and risk losing House Points. One thing I want to mention is that I love how when you go to the menu, it gives you a task list that tells you what you need to do next. (Don't you just hate when you turn on a game and forget what the heck you need to do next?)

Spells: I love the spell system. Whenever you get a new spell, you can choose which button (B, Y, or X) to use when you want to use that spell. You don't have to worry about any confusing button sequences to perform a specific spell.

Difficulty level: Average... my favorite level. Not too hard, not too easy. The "final battle" isn't bad at all. Quidditch is pretty challenging though in my opinion.

Graphics: Excellent. The game is in complete 3D and as someone mentioned before, looks like a movie!

Sound Quality: Excellent. The chracters actually speak instead of having what they say just typed out.

Control: Pretty good. You can't make Harry jump though :(

Hours of gameplay: Around 10 for me.

Flaws: There were 2 things I didn't like. (Which is why I gave this 4 stars). One was that once and a while, though not often, there'd be an error in the game and I'd have to restart. The other thing is that the long loading times (the game has to load when Harry goes into most rooms) kind of got on my nerves after a while.

Overall: Rent, if not buy, this game! It's definitely worth it!

Very well-made game

This game was very good at some things but not so good at others

-Picture(*****) They did very well at making the picture 3D, the real-looking kind of cartoon, and the characters looked like they did from the movie and it never fuzzed at any parts for me

-Sound(*****) You could understand everything pretty well, and if you couldn't, they had words to follow along w/ at the bottom

-Fun(****) It was fun to explore Hogwarts, play Quidditch, and go on quests, but some parts were too frustrating and hard to be fun

-Length(***) This game was VERY short. My brother beat it in 2 days. If the game were longer, it would be more interesting and fun

OVERALL= 4.25 (4 stars)

Harry Potter not only in the books

This game rocked it was possibly the best game I have ever played. The graphics were unbelivable, and the tasks were even more fun. Even if your not a Harry Potter fan this game is for you. It has the potential to be even bigger if they make a sequal, which I hope they do because the game has left me wanting more.

Almost As Irritating As It Is Stuipid

I love Harry Potter Quidditch Cup game and I thought this would be an excellent game to buy as well. I found that the gameplay is very easy and most of the game you spend avoiding being caught by precepts or avoiding ghosts that can attack you and you can't fight back. I beat this game in a little under 3 days and I found most of the time I had problems not fighting the enemies but avoiding the ghosts and precepts. The storyline is pretty messed up and is not developed well, and although I know it is a video game they could have made the storyline a little better. I knew the game wasn't going to be very good when I had to listen to Harry say "How am I going to get out of this room" every minute for a half an hour and tried to do acrobatics while ghosts knocked me down and couldn't be killed. I found the best things about it were flying around the school grounds on the broom and at the quidditch tournaments. It's a fun game to play around with but I wouldn't recommend anyone to buy it.

I had high hopes for this game. First of all, this game's storyline and scenery are dissapointing since they are not connected to the movie at all. The only positive thing about the game are the graphics and the quidditch game play. The graphics are pretty realistic and the quidditch controlling is very agile. The worst part about this game is that it is verrry short and takes about 4 to 5 full hours to complete. Dont plan to buy this game, and rent it instead.
