I don't how these other people can give this game a good review. I've been trying to get some enjoyment out of this but I'm giving up.

If you're used to the Moto GP versions on regular xbox and Playstaion 2 or Tourist Trophy on Playstaion 2, then you'll be very frustrated with this version for the Xbox 360. It seems they must have rushed this game out. I've been playing Tourist Trophy (since it's release), which is an amazing motorcycle game, and it's miles beyond this game. I'm a huge racing fan and i thought i might just have to keep playing to get used to the dynamics of the controls, but so far I have not been able to get any satisfaction out of this game.

All the previous Moto GP versions for regular Xbox blows this away. I was excited to get this game thinking it would be the next level since it was for the 360, but it is a step down!!!

As far as graphics; this version looks more like a cartoon than a realistic racer.

Conclusion:
-i'm gald i bought this used ($24.99 @ Electronics Boutique), because I'd be pissed if I paid $59.99 for this.
-try to rent this game first before you buy it.

MOTO GP 2006 IS WAAAY OVERATED AND SIMPLY NOT WORTH YOUR OR MY CA$H. IN FUTURE I SUGGEST THQ TEST THEIR PRODUCTS PROPERTY BEFORE SHIPPING AS THERE MANY FAULTS WITH MOTO GP 2006. YOU WOULD THINK THAT MICROSOFT WOULD HAVE SOME RESPONSIBILITY TO IN WHAT GAMES THEY ALLOW TO SHIP. SOME WORDS FOR THQ, GET SOME MORE TESTERS ON BOARD AND FIX THOSE BUGS!!!!!

This is just crazy, I'm seething!

MotoGp 2006 would be acceptable if it were not for all the bugs. Screen tearing is not a genuine bug and does not cause my 360 to crash, so I can live with that. Not being able to see other riders artwork while online seems strange but again does not cause the game to crash so I can live with that, besides which I`m not into designing my own art. What does bother me though, is loosing saved data. When MotoGp loads and goes into demo mode, should the player press start it does an auto save and saves over all your previously saved data before it has a chance to load your original data. This is just crazy, I'm seething!

Moto Gp 2006 has Issues

Hello all, i'm from spain,In addition to all the defects of which already they have been spoken other exist that do not allow to catalogue this title of "next gen", for example:

Cockpit view: Simply it is an insult to the intelligence of the buyers.
There are no commissioners in track.
The public in 3D is little, and badly distributed.
The TV cameras do not have operator.
The Wall (pit lane) is absolutely empty.
The old trick to put a noise in the middle of pit lane, for example in Losail, is stupid.
The wheel chain of the bikes does not have movement.
The particle effects are seen only in certain circuits and certain types of grass.
The slicks are not stained.
In rain you have only tyre slicks.

Surely that you still find more things...

Of course which they are not things that perhaps matter for a race game, but had created an immersion sensation which now the game lacks.

about as good as the original xbox version

Brought Moto Gp 2006 on the strength of the review over on Ign. I totally agree with what Sierra Whisky has written in his review of Moto Gp.

Moto GP on the 360 is the same as the Xbox version with a few tweaks here and there without nearly enough improvements to make the game worth while. For an Xbox game it is ok, for a 360 game it is not nearly as good as expected.

The game feels rushed, maybe in hurry to cash in on the release of the 360 for which not nearly enough good games are available for it.

I Hope Forza ships soon....

I only bought this because I really like racing games and there just isn't much out there for the 360. I shouldn't have, not much to add that hasn't been said in previous posts, just wanted to get my rating in and hopefully save someone else $60.00

k just to recap

1_The wheel chain of the bikes does not have movement. Well that kills things a little.

2_In rain you have only tyre slicks. Guys, you need to sharpen up your skills.

3_If you bring your custom bike to an online race only you can see your logos, anyone else racing only sees your base colour. They cannot see your home made art.

4_This year's MotoGP 2006 Xbox360 cements the foundations laid in titles gone by, without actually building anything of substance upon them.

5_I only bought this because I really like racing games and there just isn't much out there for the 360. I shouldn't have, not much to add that hasn't been said in previous posts, just wanted to get my rating in and hopefully save someone else $60.00

7_The tracks lack the same thought and attention to detail which lets the experience down. The tracks look empty, there is little going on and what is going on does not look as detailed as the motorbikes, and this has the knock on effect of killing the whole experience and destroying what ever convincing illusion could have been achieved with MotoGp 2006 Xbox 360

8_The soundtrack is an adequate blend of techno tunes that is thankfully limited to menu screens by default. The music is one area that Thq really need to work on.

Previous owners of Moto Gp on Xbox will feel at home almost instantly, with any significant changes from the games predecessor limited to the fringes. For rookies, MotoGP admittedly takes some getting used to and can prove difficult. With a focus on balancing acceleration and cornering, the game's controls require players to tally leaning and braking with one thumbstick, while turning with the other. Confusing to describe let alone practice, MotoGP relies on gamers familiarising themselves with what does eventually become an intuitive method of play.

While almost all of this is fairly exclusive to the franchise as a whole, it's hard to place exactly where MotoGP '06 makes any advances of its own, as it simply feels like more of the same. Of course, graphically Thq has shifted up a few gears, with courses and bikes literally shining on the screen (glaringly so, in places). But stagnancy is most certainly an issue - jaw-dropping moments are very limited throughout and there's nothing worthy of any glossy Xbox promo material (the various images doing the rounds on Ign for example). Take a glance off road and MotoGP actually has a grey-tinged blocky feel, with buildings stood in a line like characterless cubes. The game could use more imagination. Played in high-definition, replays also suffer from a surprising amount of slowdown. So if your a motorbike whore and dashed out to buy a hidef televsion to go with your X360 then you may well feel cheated.

Moto GP 06 fails to take any strides forward when compared to Moto GP on the original Xbox. It's fair to say that the much-documented `leap' in console generations has perhaps resulted in any visual vigour shown here being almost taken for granted. I made me wonder if investing in an Xbox 360 was worth it.

This year's MotoGP cements the foundations laid in titles gone by, without actually building anything of substance upon them. As a debut on Xbox 360, Thq has made a start - one that for any newcomers is unquestionably more miss than hit. Those lining up on the starting grid for the second, third or even forth time may be disappointed, and they're unlikely to be pleasantly surprised either.

With the impressive Playstation's Tourist Trophy hot on the heels on Moto GP it's time Thq woke up, opened their eyes and got back on the ball before they finish last.

brutal: I personally found it unplayable with the unstable framerate and hideous tearing. Traded it in already. Thats my 2p.

jlaakso: This is the first MotoGP I've played, and I've only tried the demo. The gameplay is good, arcadey, but satisfactory. However, the looks certainly don't impress. It feels very unfinished. The bikes are good, the riders are all right, but the tracks don't feel like the real thing at all. Overall, the colors are very unnatural. The framerate stutters quite a bit, but it doesn't hamper my driving at all. I haven't seen any tearing, though.

Harry: I think it's an utter dog's breakfast of a game. MotoGP2 on Xbox was so much better.

_neon: Has anyone else played Moto Gp 2006 on the X360. This is one overated game. Sure the bikes look ok but everything else fails to match the quality of the bikes. The tracks are so bland. While Moto Gp 2006 is an improvement *silghtly* over the original Xbox Moto Gp it remains a long way off being a mega blasting next generation game. The game is more Xbox 1.5 and not a full 360.

KingOfSpain: Got anything to say about the game other than how it looks?

deathgibbon: Well, it is gravel.

_neon: Ignoring the looks, Moto Gp 2 on the orignal Xbox was a better game. A lot more playable. The choice music too, is out of place. Dare i say it, EA could have done better than Thq.

Just found another fault with Moto Gp

CAN'T SEE OTHER PEOPLES' CUSTOM LOGOS ONLINE

1) If you bring your custom bike to an online race only you can see your logos etc, anyone else racing only sees your base color, thats it. All that work for nothing (let's hope for a patch) (ps- checked this problem out with about 20 different players, all could not see anyone elses logos)

2) Its XBOX 360 gentlemen, we'd appreciate more than 10 layers of logos (which is actually 5 b/c if you want your bike to match on boths sides you have to split the logos up to 5 per side. ps- good luck matching logos (No- Mirror does NOT Help)

3) Go ahead a create a custom bike- I hope you like it because its the only one your gona have- yep- your design is the only design you have unless you want to delete it and start fresh. AND when you want to apply your design to a different bike- too bad- the graphics are ALL OFF and it takes FOREVER to get them into position. DID I MENTION YOU CAN ONLY CUSTOMIZE 1 FREAKN' BIKE!!! (ps-don't feed me bs about creating different profiles and having 1 bike per user- thats just to much work for what we should get-again, its XBOX 360 we're talking about)

I've had this game for 3 days, but these things must be addressed. You just can't tease us with Customizable Bikes and then cut us off when we finally want to show em off.

Thq an Xbox 360 update fix patch or what ever they are called please.
