I have been a fan of this series ever since I picked up the first one with my brand new Playstation in 1996. It always seemed to know its place in life as a bridge between old 2D platform games and the present. It used the new technology to update platforming with humor and attitude of the characters along with great sound effects and background music. In this title, whatever they've done with all these elements just doesn't add up to the same charming experience as previous outings.
Movement in one general direction collecting objects is gone and replaced with a free roaming enviornment. I didn't see very good clues telling you what you are supposed to doing or going next. The 3D environment makes it challenging to perform the classic crash moves of spinning or bouncing on top of enemies with accuracy although I suppose you might get used to that over time.
It is really easy to die in this game, and it took us 3 or 4 attempts to get past the first level. At first I sort of liked the music but after roaming around trying to figure out where to go the music got irritating and seemed to loop pretty often. The graphics are attractive, but are missing the previous version's style & polish. In the previous titles, Crash was very expressive and you could see a sort of dumb look on his face. That type of thing seems to be missing in Twinsanity. Even collecting the fruit is less fun, the satisfying slurppy sound is gone and the fruit doesn't always fly across the screen into your fruit count.
To sum up, with all the great platform games out there, there is just no reason to buy this one, especially at full price. Pick up Jax II or Rachet & Clank Going Commando (or both) off the Greatest Hits shelf.
A disappointed Crash fan :(

My kids and I have been huge fans of Crash, especially the second, the third and CTR.
Twinsanity is no fun at all and was a huge let-down. It's not anything like the others and practically requires you to learn the controls all over again. The music is so annoying you'll want to turn it off and the constantly changing camera angles can leave you a bit motion sick.
If you really think you want this one, do yourself a favor by renting it first, you'll be glad you did.
NOT FUN!

Oh what we have here? Another in the long list of sequels... Unfortunately this one is worse then the previous outings of Crash.
For starters the game is tedious; having Cortex following you around like a puppy is dull and adds no gameplay at all.
Yes you can throw him around, first time funny, and then it does become dull, like the same joke over and over again. Perhaps the developer should have looked at Whiplash, this game does the same thing but much better, and it looks better too!
The levels are very boring and sparse, lots of set pieces but no real gameplay to be found. The whole idea of the twins are great, but just having them in a cut-scene is really robbing the whole game of villains, perhaps this will spawn another sequel of the sequel?
Levels are really small, offering nothing of a challenge, I completed the game in 2 hours!!! So you are not getting replay value for bucks! Be warned this game is really small!
The graphics are average, the PS2 & X-box really look like they are running PlayStation One graphics.
It's a real shame, Crash could have been something really special but instead we are given a mediocre game filled with cut-scene after cut-scene.
Having played the final game, I am very disappointed and would buy something like Jak 3 or Ratchet & Clank, which offer better gameplay, graphics and polish
AVOID!

Having played this game in Los Angles I have to agree it is very poor.
The gameplay is very linear, even though you have a 3D world, which is really boring and does not offer any real challenges.
The worlds are dull and sparse, not very pretty to look at too. The snowboarding section is dull and repetitive, the mine section is really just a cut scene with minimal interaction from the player.
I hate this game, I'm trying to like some aspect of this game but there are too many other good games out at the moment and this one does not stand a chance. A wasted opportunity, this game should have been great instead we get a really boring experience.
If you want to play Crash then buy the last one, it looked, played and sounded better!
It Looks Sucky

ok come on "Cortex spanking Crash Bandicoot" Crash Bandicoot the mascot of all of playstation being spanked. (i saw the e3 2004 trialer and dang it makes crash look like a 2 year old) crash bandicoot 1,2, and 3 were awsome great games then nuaghty dog made CTR and Crash Bash wich were great also. then Naughty Dog sold the rights. (Why!!!!!!!!!??????) and things went downhill from there. crash went to the gba and i've never played those games but they look ok. crash 4 was made, great games slow load time. (dahyavu plot with the same old crystal thing) then crash nitro kart came out. same thing as CTR even same levels just a couple more weapons different story and better graphics. ok game beat it in 3 hours. anyway back to CB Twinsanity (title sucks) just look at some of the stuff on the web like the screen shots and stuff. and you;ll hate crash tweinsanity also. and ask what happend to nuaghty dog and find Jak 1,2,and 3
1,2 were great havn't played 3 look awsome though. Ratchet and clank (rated T) games rock the planet man they r so fun there a Halo and Crash (crash made by Nuaghty dog) mix. play those don't waste your money. if your still want 2 play it rent it beat it in 2 hours and send it on its way. (thats what i'm ganna do)(if i don't deside to rent Rachet 3 while i'm there)(i would never get to crash twin if i rented that one) thats all i have 2 say l8er guys>>>>

Do not waste your time or money on this GARBAGE!! I own every Crash game from back in the playstaion 1 times, and this is by far the worst one yet! I thought games were suupose to get better with each installment not worse. The game play is very week. I had more fun playing the first three PS1 games than this garbage. I thought the last one was lame (the load times drove me to sell it on ebay)but this one is even lamer. The worse thing about it is the annoying music. I feel like I am back in the 20's and should be doing the swing dance. LOL!!
Thank god I only was able to rent it and not buy it. I am glad I am only out $5.00 and not $40.00 or $50.00.
So if you like to play something that will make you pull your hair out just listening to it.........then buy this game. Or if you enjoy stupid comments over and over again then this game is for you.
Give this franchise a rest already. Let it die! I felt it did as soon as Naughty Dog gave it up.
Die already Crash!!!!
One Of The Worst Controlled Games I Have Ever Played

The controls are simply inexcusable for a game made in 2004. You will find yourself dying a hundred times simply because Crash will do a slide when you are just simply trying to duck. As a result you will find yourself sliding over the edge and dying. You will also find yourself dying because Crash will stand up when he is supposed to be ducking meeting an untimely death. You will find yourself bewildered as you know that you kept the button pressed so there should be no reason for him to stand. I can guarantee you this, you will be cursing every swear word in the dictonary and wanting to throw your controller down and stomping on it like Crash would against his opponents.

Having seen this game at E3 2004, I must say I'm very disappointed in the look and play.
The game is nothing new and is really bland. The graphics are dated and look rather dull. I would not recommend this game to anyone who had bought the last one.
Look out for Jak 3 or Ratchet & Clank 3, they are much better games and look a hundred times better. I played all three games and this was the boring one!
Is this for real? This game looks pants. I was hoping it would be better then the last one, but in fact it's worse. The game has cut-scene after cut-scene and no real fun factor.
WORST CRASH GAME, WORST GAME EVER!

What was once a very good series of games has now become one of the year's biggest disappointments?
The game is short, very short in fact 3 hours of gameplay and too many cut-scenes that drag on far too long.
Graphics are a bit retro, the game could easily be mistaken for something that could be a Playstation One game or Dreamcast, but an ugly game for any console.
The gameplay is very boring and lacks any real design or reward. The levels are bland and un-inspiring.
Overall a very poor quality game that should have been much better.
