This is the best Spider-man game yet!

This game is the best Spider-man game yet! It has awesome graphics. It has little movies at the end of levels. New moves that weren't in the regular ps1 games. For example: you can web swing as long as you want and go higher, unlike in the ps1 Spider-man. You start off in the original costume Peter uses in the wrestling match. I like how when you're fighting green goblin, you can jump on his glider and start punching him. It is awesome. The only bad part is the camera view doesn't move around with spidey so you have to manually move the camera....i got use to it after a while. You can get gold spider icons which unlock new combo moves. you also fight villains other than the green goblin. also tobey maguire does the voicse of peter/spider-man. william dafoe does norman/green goblin. If you liked the movie and just spider-man in general, its the game for you!

Spider-Man is a great game for the E-Teen category. It's graphics rock, and it's sound is a thumbs-up! The voice acting is okay, but the cheesy jokes get to your head after a while. The camera positioning is a little annoying due to the fact that when you steer it around, there's no default button to bring it back. The gameplay (I refer to the PS2) is good-pretty much in the same areas as the Gamecube version. I happen to like cheats, and I'll say it right now: this game has good cheats. You can even fight as the murderer! (the only downfall being that you can't use the shotgun). The levels are a mix of easy and hard (but more easy than hard), and everything else is a check! I don't want to spoil the game, so I'll only give you the cheat for all moves: KOALA. Overall, Spider-Man is a great game on Ps2 and gamecube, and if you want some third person smashing, then get this game!!!

this is a great game! the graphics are great, the action is great and the fun is great!this is a very good game, and everyone who is a spider man fan alredy has it. the title is based on the movie title, but there are more villians exept the green goblin. it very fun and im telling everybody to buy it.

I rented this game for 3 days at a local game store. Don't get me wrong, it's a good game, but I beat it in 3 hours on the first night playing it. So overall it's a good game, but you'll beat it in 3-5 hours. I'ts more of a rental game.

I was pleased with this game. I saw the movie so i was thinking that the game would be good. Plus i loved the movie, they are making a SPIDER-MAN 2 movie. so i hope they make a game for that 2nd movie. And make the next game as good or better as this one.

Ok, for starters, an over all opinion of this game would really depend on how you had been playing the game and whether are not you had played the previous Spider-Man game for PS1. If you had never played a Spider-Man game before, some of the control concepts in this game could get confusing. But this would give you an advantage over those who had, because if you had played the older games, you would have the old control system stuck in your head. There are two different control systems in this game; the one from the old games or a new, more advanced one with more options and moves. I had played both the older games, so I stuck with the old controls. But when one of my friends, who had never played a Spider-Man game before, used the new control system, he beat the same levels I did in half the time. So you have that choice. The graphics in this game are insane. Even while playing, you can see the reflections of the of New York on Spidey's eyes. The out-side levels are HUGE, but if you go too far away from your target, you will get turned around and Spidey will say some stupid remark. But even if you don't go that far away, Spider-Man is almost always making comments when fighing baddies or just walking. Some of the levels are kinda dark, but you an just turn up the brightness on your screen to fix that. The cut-scenes in between levels are really cool; Spider-Man and Goblin look just like they did in the Movie. There are all kinds of special options too, like an in game cheat menus and movies you can unlock. I would rate this game about a 8½ out of 10. I would also like to explain the ratings I gave it on the above ratings. I gave in 4 out of 5 stars for Fun, because once you get the hang of it(pun intended), this game is awesome. I gave in 2 out of 5 stars in Educational Value, becuase it is a video game(get real, folks). And I gave it 4 out of 5 stars in Durability, because as long as aren't scratching sharp objects on it or throwing it across the room, this game will work for a very long time. Well, thats it. If you do buy this game, I hope you will have as much fun as I did.

spider man is a pretty good game. The camera lock [is weak] though. I guy is punching you and you press camera lock you lock on to a guy 14 steps away from you. It [stinks] how there barely any scenes from the movie. The Graphics aren't as good as i thought they would be. The movie graphics rule though. Its anoyes me how short it is though and how mary jane looks like a pig in some scenes and its also lookes [stupid] when norman turns into goblin. The controls are pretty good though. Itd pretty stupid how the thugs keep on reapeting themselves. Overall its a pretty good game that you should think before buying. buy. The cool things are the fighting combos and how you reply to the thugs. Its cool how the green goblin is stronger then everyone including you. If you want my advice save up for another game

I ignored spiderman for PS2 when I was in Las Vegas in June 2002.
Why because I read a review which said it was weak.
BOY thank GOD I saw the cuts on CARTOON NETWORK, Yes I watch DBZ and I am 34 yrs old and yes I have plenty female "friends" here in the Caribbean..thats to get rid of the "nerd syndrome" you maybe thinking.AnyHOO, I bought Spiderman in August...and I have not stopped swinging since. The witty narrator, the corny spidey small talk against the villains- all thrill me because I grew up idolising spiderman. Heck at age 11 I was spidey...well at least a black spiderman living in the caribbean. It is awesome and I am yet to get past the vulture. I just started and this game is oooodles of fun for me. I cant wait to conquer it and unlock the good stuff. I recommend it to any spidey fan. Yes I agree that his hand to hand combat is lame but this is compensated by all the cool zipping and web tricks he has.. I can live with it.. DEFINITELY THE BEST PS2 ADVENTURE/STORY GAME FOR ME. I am still trying to figure out FFX. that is now onhold till I conquer the green goblin.

This would be great for all spidey fans, or if youre not youre still gonna luv it. its great how the game has improved from the original. Now you can actually land on the ground(sarcastically)! While on the ground the civilians of NY will see u and they start waving their arms around goin hey look its spider-man!Don stay to long the coppers will be on to ya. Very realistic.

"sure spider-man is a great game, but will they find a camera man fast enough to keep up with him?" says game reveiwers. So thats y I gave it a 4. The combos keep the game interesting, and if thats not enough the secret store provides u with lots of interesting stuff, the cheats too. I like the cheat where ure "matrix spidey". Be sure to get the cheats AFTER you beat the game and you will enjoy the game at its highest potential. well hoped this helped.
