This was purchased for a gift, however I did play the game. Awesome graphics, lots of fun.

This is our 4th Karaoke Revolution purchase, and this one is fast becoming the favorite. Many of these songs are easy to sing, so even people that dont sing too great can still participate on the beginner level. Dont worry about Simon- he isnt as "bad" as you would think. Several Idol modes to choose from. Since we have begun playing the KR games at home, it makes it much easier for our children to sing in public, it boosts thier confidence greatly! Great family fun!

Me & my twin sister got this game for our PS2 for our birthday it was SO much fun. Even our parents did it! We couldn't stop playing it. You choose from alot of different songs and you get an avatar which you can choose and then choose what they wear. It shows you the words and everything and stuff like in regular karioke but this is karioke taken to the max! You can even insert yourself as your avatar with "Eye Toy Cameo" It tells you if it was Lousy, Poor, Okay, Good or Great. It's such a group activity but only 1 person is getting critique by the 3 judges- the one who sings into the the micraphone but other people can sing along too! You get voted off 1 by 1 until it's the grand finale! It's such a fun game! You won't regret buying it ! I'm sure and 100% positive!

No matter how you look at this game. It's fun. The duets are probably my favorite part of this game. You can sing with a computer partner or a real person. The game has many options, making it different each time you play it. The songs tend to get old fast. Cuz there really aren't enough songs that make you want to play this over and over again. Unless your like me, love the songs, love the game, love being told I suck by Simon Cowell. ha!

I have always loved the Karaoke Revolutions line, but I am beginning to think that this is my favorite! I am ashamed to admit that despite being an avid Karaoke fan, I don't usually watch American Idol. But don't be too shocked because I don't watch tv, period, (Yes, your shocked meter went off the scale.) but mostly it's because I'm too busy playing video games like KR!

But, from what I have seen of American Idol, this is true to the experience. The mannerisms and comments of the judges, including Simon, Randy, and an almost clone of Paula called Laura, are just about spot on. In fact, I was seriously considering trying out for the next American Idol for about five seconds before I realized that I play on easy mode.

To the heart of the matter, this is another excellent game in the KR line with great songs, great features, and just pure entertainment value when you play it. Singing with this game and the other KR games has helped me improve my voice, and now I get to giggle at Simon which only increases the fun.

I think that this version has less songs that I know than previous KR games, but as you can guess from my "not watching tv" comments, I'm not entirely up with the times. But you can bet that I'm going to have fun learning the new songs with this game!

Buy this game for your American Idol Obsessed friends after you buy yourself a copy.

This is a great game. It is just like the show. If youc an sing they praise you. If you can not sing they give you hard time. We have had a lot of fund with this game.

I bought this Friday,and I have not stopped playing it since!!Being a great fan of the show does heighten the level of fun.

I encountered Simon and Randy's criticism,
but I think that's the fun of it!

It teach you to "raise the bar",and be better at the song next time around.

I FEEL THERE IS NOT A GREAT SELECTION OF SONGS. I EXPECTED TO BE ABLE TO WIN MORE SONG SELECTION AS YOU PROGRESS IN THE GAME BUT I WAS EITHER WRONG OR HAVENT GOTTEN THAT FAR.

I will buy the special mike- we have the playstation 2, Pop Star, and this won't work with it! so disappointed!!!!!

Good Installment in the KR Series

KR: American Idol is very fun to play. Gameplay is pretty much the same as the prior installments. The competition mode where you get judged by Simon and Randy (and some Paula wannabe named "Laura") is very fun. Their comments make the game, plus it's funny when someone screws up a song and Simon lays into them. KR is still one of the best party games for PS2.
