Don't waste your money! Not fun for kids. Not interesting for adults.

I will preface this by saying I love the Wii for its sports and activities. I however am not a fan of Mario products in general. Way too many menus. Controls and buttons that are in no way intuitive. Geared graphically for kids but far from interesting to adults.
Mario Olympics is way too hard for little kids. This is frustrating for them because the characters are colorful and familiar from other Mario games. The controls are just way too complex for young ones and the game is just boring for adults. Not to mention we lose interest in trying to help the kids past their frustration. Only the Dream Race has some redeeming value but this is just not a good game.
You want sports, stick to sports games including the Winter Sports Ultimate Challenge. You want Mario, stick to Mario Party or something of the like. But putting the Mario cast in a sporting venue is just not a good combination. The controls make no sense at all so be sure you read all of the controls menus before playing any event. Most Wii games at least make sense as to which controls you use for what action.
It is impossible to make the kids play this game. They just don't like it. And it isn't worth mastering as an adult when there are so many better titles out there.
This game is a RENT only. Be sure you try it before forking over the $50.

The game is a blast. To me it is one of the best party games on the Wii. If you like Mario party games, you will like this. I actually like this better then the Mario Party game for the Wii.

This one of those games where getting a group of friends to play is better than single player. The weird part of it is that you need to play single player to unlock circuits, which in turn unlocks more events to play...so go figure. There is a very large number of events, some much harder than others...but enjoyable. Many will get you tired after a few events ...such as 4x100 freestyle (swimming) and rowing. To go along with the events there are also mini-games such as whack-a-goomba and a memory card game to name a few...they are made to make you learn about the olympics and its history...it's not that great but something new. The Dream events are the best...one is just like Mario Kart, but running of course...with weapons and powerups and such with many obstacles...one where you are skydiving and have to follow a sequence of controls to get more style points, a fencing one where it reminds me of marvel vs capcoms with power ups that blow your opponent away and a not so great ping pong dream event that can smash your opponent away. Graphics wise it is pretty good and i do recommend this for the sonic and mario lovers looking for multiplayer games.

We as well don't have any kids in our household and we really enjoy this game. The best aspect of it in my opinion is the table tennis, it's challenging and fun and gets your motor going. we actually get sore after it. i still haven't mastered most of the games in this game, can't get the hang of the swimming at all. the Trampoline is fun. And the main thing i like about this is that this game has a POINT!!! I don't like games where you just compete, win and do it again. Here you actually have to beat all the different games w/ different characters in order to unlock more games and characters. I still have yet to unlock anything (only played a few times). But the graphics are great (mario and sonic are always fun). controls for the most part are very good and sensitive. the reason I gave this 4 stars is because I would have liked to see a few more challenges that actually resemble olympics, like snow related (skiiing, skating, etc) and a few more things. that's why I order the Winter Games game! =)
Really fun

This is definitely a fun and interactive game to get your family and friends off the couch and into the "Olympic Games". Yeah, you know it's just a video game, but if you allow yourself to get into the game and have fun with it you can really work up a good sweat.

This is a truly fun game. It will work your arms to death with the running and swimming events. Not difficult to learn how to play each game. Controls are all basically easy. Hardest games are pole vault relay races. Do not get discouraged at first. I know a couple of people who gave up very early on this game saying it was too difficult. Once you get the hang of the games none of them are devastatingly difficult. Only draw back was having to win all of the circuits to unlock all the different games. However, this also helped me to get the hang of the games better as it gets increasingly more difficult.

This game is awesome fun. The events keep you busy and work up a sweat. It is a true workout. Whether you are a gamer or someone who is particular in what games you play, you will enjoy this one. Another good characteristic is that you can play with your Mii, which takes is straight from the console. The graphics are good as well.

Overall this is a good game, but what made me buy this game was the sticker on the front of the case: Wi-Fi Enabled. This game does not support online gameplay. So in case you were thinking about buying this game based on the online gameplay; don't.

I got this game primarily because I wanted something like Wii Sports but more. This game partly delivers but could be better. First, it says Wifi on the box but it's really not. The Wifi part is that you can view other people's scores, not actually play other people online, that would have gotten this game 4 stars.
The graphics are really good, not something I was expecting from this game. Granted it probably won't blow you away compared to other console's graphics but I think they are very well done. There are some easy events and some difficult events so I think it has something for everyone.
The other missing star is for some of the control and how they explain them. Some event are very straight forward on how to use the controls. Other events are overly complicated and then when you don't do it right, it leaves you wondering what you did wrong. (Still haven't quite figured out the triple jump)
While I haven't played with multiple people yet, this game seems like it would excel there. Playing by yourself is fun but not quite as fun as I think they could have made it.
