Great for young Hannah Fans

Definitely for the die-hard school age Hannah fan. Five year old daughter loves it. As a parent, this is something I feel comfortable letting my daughter play. She is learning the concept between "working" (although admittedly, working concerts isn't exactly realistic) and "earning money to buy things". While it is by no means the ideal way to learn a lesson, she is being introduced to the concept while having fun at the same time. Other than shopping, dancing and following arrows to imitate movements, there isn't much else to this game. I guess there are some "extras" but we haven't explored that yet. I bet if they had something like this for me when I was young (for Duran Duran let's say...LOL) I would have ate it up with a spoon just as my daughter is right now!

Your kids will love this game ( even the boys )

My 7 year old daughter got this game for Christmas and barely gets to play it since my 11 year old son keeps hogging it. ( And he is an ultimate "jock" ) You start out in New York in Hannah's dressing room. You can change her hair and wardrobe but the choices are limited at first until you earn points to go shopping. You then go to rehearsal where you learn your new dance moves and practice them before going off to perform your concert where you do your moves based on the symbols going across the bottom of the screen.
Hannah dances on screen performing the same moves you are doing. When you pass your "review" ( 3 stars or better out of 5 ) you score points that go in your shopping bag. You can then go to the mall to shop. My daughter loves this the most. As you progress and perform all your songs in your concert, you unlock new cities with more opportunites to unlock more songs and shopping venues.
You also will unlock more dance modes. Star mode is basic and great for a 7 year old. Super Star mode is a bit more advanced, perfect for 40 year old Mom, and Diva mode is really advanced, for 11 year old son who has lots of rhythem.
We all of course know all of Hannah's songs since my daughter plays them all the time. We have stayed up past midnight several nights trying to get the next song or a new city.
Another nice thing is you can start a new game and go all the way back to the beginning or continue with the game you were playing that had all your songs and cities unlocked.
The music is great and the moves are really in rhythem to the songs. Its a great aerobics work out and really gets your heart rate going. Great upper body workout. And its lots of fun too.
The only negative thing I could possibly say is we cannot get the air guitar move to register when we perform our songs and always lose points by getting "misses". We may just be guitar challanged.... :)

Fans Beware

My 8-year-old cousin has this game and plays it often, but only because it's the only wii game that is just hers. She showed it to me, and while discussing it with her, she mentioned a lot of problems with the game that really ruined the experience for her. First and foremost, she was frustrated that the game based on her favorite singer had no interactive singing element involved, which I found strange considering the karaoke games that are already available. She also complained that some of the "dance moves" were difficult if not impossible to perform because the sensor seemed to base them on the height of a teenager (for example, for the hands-on-heart move, she would have to put her hands up to her neck or face to have any luck with them registering). The controls during the shopping segments were frustrating, and she found the cut scenes and voice-overs silly and annoying. This game seems to take advantage of the show's devoted fanbase by delivering a mediocre product that will sell nonetheless. If this game did not have the Hannah Montana franchise behind it, I doubt it would sell.

In her words: "I thought I wanted to be a super star, but not after this."

My daughter loves it and so do I

I thought this would be boring but my daughter really wanted it. It's actually quite fun. She loves the shopping and picking out clothes for Hannah as much as the dance moves. She is 8 and can handle the Star and Super Star levels but the Diva level is very tough. I even have difficulty with the Diva level. Lots of eye hand coordination required.

Great game for a houseful of girls!!!!!

I bought this game for my daughters, ages 3, 9, and 12, as a surprise over school vacation. The girls played non-stop all week and had a ball!!! They caught on to all Hannah's moves quickly with the practice sessions, and loved shopping in Paris...even my 3-yr-old loved playing this game. I even tried it!!! There is only one problem with this game....be prepared to walk around singing Hannah Montana songs all the time!!! My personal fav....My Old Blue Jeans !!!!! Even Dad is singing!!
If you have tween girls that love Hannah, you need this game!! :)

Money well spent

When I say money well spent I am speaking of my 2 daughters personal experience. My girls love Hannah Montana. When my 8 year old got the game out first, I wasn't sure my 11 year old would enjoy it, because it is pretty simple. But she has played it more than the 8 year old. It also teaches them memory skills and has Hannah Montana songs. It was disappointing to them that the voices used are not from the actual performers, but all in all they have spent alot of time playing this game and have enjoyed it every time they have played.

I was quite excited about my new Hannah Montana game on Christmas Eve. Though truly fun, I believed that the Hannah Spirt was ripped out of the game completely. I will tell you the pros and cons of this game below:

Cons:

Just like the Title of my Review. Nothing new

Controls are horrible. I move left, they call it missed

I don't feel anything like a Pop Star. I feel like a mime doing a bad imatation in front of nobody but dust.

The people look NOTHING like the people on the show. A 20 foot tall robot with a Light-up beeper that reads "I'm a Robot!!!" Right on their chest in disguise as the people from Hannah Montana, the show is more believable than the ones in this game.

The "zing" of the game dies down after the first 2 concerts. I was bored even before the shopping ended in NY!

I have many more, but to save time, I'm not going to say everything.

Pros

You get to dress Hannah

Sign Autographs

Gain fans

Shop

and

concerts.

If you don't mind same old same old do over lifestyle, stick to this.
If you prefer the usual but with a twist each day, go check out Rayman Raving Rabbids.
Looking for a game better than this? Try out the game of Super Mario Galaxy if you really want a global Tour

Good game for young girls. Definitely not an adult game. Can dance and shop with Hannah. What else would a little girl want to do?

Fun, but Easy

This game is really fun, but somewhat easy to beat.
In world tour you start your first international tour in New York. the instructions are pretty easy, move your wii remote the way they tell you. Your goal in world tour is to perform great shows, get souveniers, and platnium records, you can also get pretty cool outfits for Hannah and help Jackson out.
Almost all of the Hannah Montana songs are on this game
I've only played World Tour but there are other games to play
I recomend this game to all Hannah Montana fans

My 8 year old gives it 5 stars

Just got this for Christmas for my 8 year old (going on 13, it seems) Hannah Montana fan. She loves it. You use the wii remote and the nunchuck remote to dance along as Hannah either in concert or backstage practicing. The dancer (player) is required to move her (or his) arms certain directions and at the right time while dancing along to the various Hannah songs. You follow along the bottom of the screen, to figure out what to do with your arms. It's similar to those dance games at the arcades that have those moving arrows, but this is just with your arms. There's a tutorial that is very helpful and easy to understand.
Other things you can do as Hannah: Go shopping, change your clothes and hair, and some other mini games like signing autographs.
You earn fans by how well you perform, and that is what gives you points to buy new clothes and earn more songs to sing.
Overall, a good game that is easy to catch on to and very fun.
