This game just plain s****. Like all Resident Evil games and it's ilk. Your characters moonwalk around the levels trying to kill the baddies. Control is terrible, you can't quite do exactly what you want to do when you want to. Graphics are good, about the 50th percentile. Camera angles are the worst and hardest enemy in the game, you are constantly fighting them. Mouths move out of sync with words during the FMV sequences, like a bad Bruce Lee movie... You will laugh and you will cry, all because you made the mistake of shelling out $$$ on this.

Ok seriously, It's ok but if your expecting to be rocketed into a 3-d interactive world of eye-popping graphics and endless options of play, Stay with N64's Link. Some flying blood mild cursing and realistic grunting does little to capture imagination. Ok story line holds interest in otherwise restictive game world.

Not to start any great angry debate, but sometimes I really wonder how some people who like a completely horrible movie, cd, or, in this case, video game, can not only love it but extol what they see as its virtues to the world, as those who apparently loved this game did here in their reviews.
I long thought about buying this game, since it first was released, actually. Finally, I saw it recently for only ten dollars, but bought Virtua Tennis instead, thinking I'd purchase it at a later date.

In the meantime, I got around to renting it. And all I can say is, thank God I spent that ten dollars on Virtua Tennis instead.
I am baffled by the customer reviews, and one or two professional reviews from video game web sites, which praise the graphics of this game very highly. Simply put, the graphics [stink]. The characters, in game and during the FMV sequences, are poorly and crudely drawn. The environments they run through are boring as can be, looking only slightly more developed than an early 3-d architecture software cd. You can run for miles through these landscapes and never see a hallway, ship deck, or lab that looks even remotely different than the hundreds you've gone through already.
The story is an abysmal joke. Confusing when it isn't dull.
The game play is even worse. The one reviewer was absolutely correct. Come to a door. You need a key you're informed. Look to your left, two feet away from the door. A dead body with a glittering object beside it. Approach it and hit the "action" button. You found the key for this door, you're told. That was difficult and challenging.
At a certain point in the game you meet up with a sailor. A ship's captain. Funny thing is, he's right beside you from then on in every FMV sequence, but, the moment they're over and you're into the actual game play, he has vanished into thin air. Then after awhile another FMV sequence and "poof", there he is again, as if he'd never left. That's realistic...
After playing as much as I could stand I promptly returned it to where I'd rented it from, once again thanking my lucky stars I decided to rent before buying.
But in truth, not even worth a rental. Rent any of the Resident Evil series, or Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare instead. Those games have their flaws too, but they don't, well, you know... [stink].

I loved this game! The plot was intresting, the graphics were great, and the charecters were great! I liked that you could change your charecter on the go. I would rather have bought this game than "TOME RAIDER THE LAST REVOLUTION".

The Critics Were Right This Time

This time, I have to say, "I wish I would have listened to the cridics." This game was totally overrated by the pros. I expected a fun game, with lots of action. But, I found it was hard for me to interact with the game because of the (not so good) control concept. Example: when using the look key "L", as soon as you release the "D" butten, the view springs back to the direction your facing. Which can seem like a "Tug of War" match (against the computer) when your trying to zero in on something you're not directly facing.
And I'm sorry, but the characters are dorky looking and that really has alot to do with taking the game serious. It has a strong plot and you've gotta be this goofy looking guy who can't even jump.
If it had controls like the "Tomb Raider" games and a plot more like the "Mario" or "Zelda" games, or mabye even "Double Dragon", I'd have given it 4-stars.

Ok game

Its an O.K. game. Thats prolly all you can say about it. The graphics are nice, the story is good, and some of the gameplay is really fun, But what ruins it is its really bad voice acting and syncing of the lips (think old Godzilla movies) and the control is really bad and makes it hard to play, but a fairly good game and average title, try b4 you buy

not a really bad game

This game is not quite as bad as some of the reviews make it out to be. I have games in my collection that I have tried to force myself to finish and couldn't do it. This is not one of those. It keeps you fairly interested, although it is simple, and it is something to play while waiting for code name veronica to hurry up and get here

Blue Stinger, I got this game for christmas. I think that this game is worth the price. Yes this game is kind of a copy off of Resident Evil. But in this game you can buy guns and when you kill monsters you get money. You buy from a vending machine. Yes this game to everybody might just be worth a rental but seriously this game will take a lot longer than like 2 days to beat. Unless you are a freak at these kind of games. There are a lot of good things and a lot of bad things about this game. A few good things are that you get to choose from 2 characters. Dogs and Eliot so like if one of them is almost dead you can change guys and have a better chance. In this game there are also a lot of guns to get. You can find them or you can juse buy them. You can get awesome guns like a gattling gun and a missle launcher. To me this game is a lot of fun. But to other people you might not like this game. Some bad things about this game is that it is very lengthy and sometimes the guys in it do moon walk. But other than that this game is very fun and exciting.

Definately a "console" game only.

I bought the Dreamcast mainly because of its graphics and the tremendous potential for the sports titles that will come out. For all other types of games, I usually stick with the computer titles. BUT for some reason, I bought this game. Terrible. Level design makes no sense, if you leave a room after killing a monster and return, the monster is alive, the cut scenes are choppy, many times you get knocked back into a previous area and have to battle through it all over again. Even the animation of the characters are horrible. TERRIBLE GAME.
