Not worth it

bland gameplay. bad dialogue. bad character animation. bad character mechanics. bad storyline. bad game mechanics. insipid level of gameplay, unless you are 12 or under, you WILL hate this game. don't waste your money.

Despite the graphics boredom sets in after 10 minutes

The best thing about this game is that it has gorgeous graphics. Other than that there isn't a whole lot that is great with this game. Instead of being fun it gets boring and tedious. The weapons are cool though but that isn't enough to save this game. The concept of 2 people able to switch on the fly was cool but there isn't really a huge need for it. You could get through the whole game using Eliot and not touch Dogs once. The most tedious thing about the game is the way the characters run/limp. In the beginning of the game when a Eliot/Dogs has very little max life and they get hurt they will start limping. My god a turtle could run faster then they do. Even when Eliot and Dogs have max life a turtle could probably still run faster then they do. At most a weekend rental will do you good for this game.

Fantastic Game!

While I admit that Blue Stinger does have poor sights and can get tedious when stuck or if the character is hurt I think that it makes up for it in the long run. The graphics are phenominal and I love the storyline. It's great how long the game is and it really keeps your mind working. It has nice little movies amoungst the gameplay, but even w/out these the action and puzzles are enough to keep one interested. By the way, it's nice to have the two character choices b/c even though Dogs is slower that way, between him and Eliot, you get more and cooler weapons. I think it's definately worth the price since it can keep you entertained for a long time.

I bought this game at Wal-Mart when I got my Dreamcast..I must say that the game is more then I expected, but wasn't as great as I hoped. The graffics were awsome and so was the sound track, but the camerasometimes makes it hard to see infront of you. Also the game play was very short I only played it for two days and beat it..Well I leave it up to you...I would rent first and then decide

Well, it won't work at all. I put it in my console, and nothing. I looked it over carefully to make sure I didn't buy some...knock off, but it even has etched trademarks, ext. It doesn't recognize the disk at all. So I went to the Activision site to see if I could find some help on this game. And this is what they said...

Problem

Does not load and play.

Solution

Activision has identified a manufacturing problem with regards to its Dreamcast title Blue Stinger. The manufacturing issue involves only a limited percentage of the total product available in stores, but will result in start-up failure on certain Dreamcast systems.

If you experience this problem, we encourage you to call 1-888-402-8951 and The Blue Stinger Hotline will send you a new disc free of charge. You will be asked to return the faulty copy of Blue Stinger directly to the fulfillment house. A prepaid, self-addressed mailer will be provided for their convenience.

Activision is dedicated to promptly delivering replacement discs to affected consumers. We would like to extend an apology to you for the inconvenience, but are confident that once this problem is corrected, you will have an outstanding gaming experience with Blue Stinger and the Dreamcast hardware.

So, I just wanted to post this for anyone else that has this problem, or will have this problem in the future. So far I have only got their answering machine. Let's see if they are still supporting this title and call me back:o)

Craig

UPDATE: Talked to someone from Activision. He was kinda floored that there were still faulty copies out there:o) Guess it's been awhile since it was out. Anyway, they replaced it as promised. But, the games really [stinks]!!! Don't bother. It's been a while since I even had my Dreamcast hooked up, so I don't remember what it was that I didn't like about the game. But, I do remember that I knew this was a really bad game in about ten minutes of playing it. Wasn't even worth my time getting it replaced.

this game is pretty descent for a first generation adventure title the graphics are really good controls good and its a little longer than most games in this style which is a plus but on the downside sometimes the camera angles arent where the action is,the story is corny, the lip synching is atrocius but overall its got more good than bad its a descent adventure with lots of action

This game is a cheap attempt to the Resident evil series

Some people are saying "if you like Resident evil you will like this game" But ill tell all of you it is not true. For example, I love the RE series and i own every single one of them but i still think this game sux. For a game that is suppose to have 128bits, this games graphics are really horriblly done and give dreamcast a bad name. The controls in the game are just impossible. It can be a good game if they improved the graphics and the controls of the game. The characters you get to play walk and run around the place like they have a wedgy or something. The weapons in the game are kinda cool but no where near the RE series. This games puzzles are ok but sometimes you just dont have enogh clues and you just frustrated out of your mind about what to do next. Well if you considering to buy this game take it from me dont get it, i guarrentee that you will be happier buying another game.

This game is good for about 30 min

I played this game and got really frustraded with it quite a bit the graphics are cartoon like and nowhere near resident evil I didnt like it very much not enough clues at times you don't know what to do next. I don't think it lives up to dreamcasts cabability. Replay value none.

this game Rocks

It is a great third person role playing game. If you like to figure things out and use your mind instead of just shooting at everything that moves this is the game for you. I think it blows the comp. out of the water. Good graphics great story and lots of blood. HAVE FUN!
