The story starts at the Institute for Gifted Youngsters. Wolverine(or Logan)is sleeping and he starts seeing images of the moment when he was created. The next morning,he tells Professor Xavier and Xavier tells him he has a time bomb that will release a deadly contagious virus in 48 hours. Now Wolverine has to go back to Canada and start his quest to find his creators and the antidote to the virus. Beast and Professor Xavier help Wolverine as he finds clues to his creators and the antidote. In this game you fight old and new enemies like Magneto,Sabertooth,Wendigo, and Juggernaut as you go deeper and deeper into Wolverine's past. This game is avaliable in all three consoles Playstation 2,Gamecube,and Xbox. Also in this game Wolverines claws are the size of a samuarai's sword. I give this game 5 stars for graphics, storyline, gameplay, action, fun, and characters.

Wolervine's Revenge is all better than I had expected. The best part of the game is the ability to perform multiple special strikes that can be performed on up to three enemys. The animal instinct mode and healing factor make this a must have for any Wolvie fan. Pick up a copy, if you have doubts rent it first

This game is so cool. The graphics are amazing. The control of this game is extremely easy to use. You can pull off many different stealth kills depending on the enemys position. You can finish off anywhere from one to three enemys at a time with many different devistating finishing moves. You have keen animal senses which allow you to track enemys by heat senses. The games story is about a bomb that went off and Wolverine has 48 hours to find a cure to a disease inside of him. The story has many twist which will keep you on the edge of your seat. I strongly suggest that you should buy this extremly wonderful and exciting game. It is by far one of the best X-Men games ever created. I leave you with one question why are you reading this when you could be out buying this game.
The game is Hot!

This game is hot as hell. The graphics are really tight,The controls are just the same.I've followed Wolverine's storyline for 13 years, and this storyline is brilliant, and accurate to the comic book series, thanks of course to Larry Hama, who contributed to the game and has been a Wolverine writer for years. The excitement is intense and will keep you addicted for hours at a time. You use stealth and jump out of the shadows at enemies and gut them with your claws. You can use over a dozen spectacular looking combos to finish off a few enemies at a time, each combo more brilliant looking than the last one. On one of them, you can throw two enemies up in the air and impale them on yourclaw like a shikobob. The battles with the big bosses are simply awesome. You get to throw down with Sabretooth (twice), The Juggernaut, Wendigo (one of the coolest battles), Lady Deathstrike, and Magneto. Mark Hamill does his coolest performance since Star Wars as the voice of Logan, and Patrick Stewart is sharp as ever as Professor X. It's his trademark character, he probably thinks he is Professor X. This is Tenchu - Wrath of heaven, Syphon Filter, and Metal gear solid 2 stirred into one game and I can honestly say that I think it will be the biggest game of the year, a good rival to Grand theft auto Vice city. I hope that this isn't the last Wolverine solo adventure game, He is the coolest superhero ever, even cooler than Spiderman, Superman, Batman and The Hulk. Anybody who gets into this will definitely be addicted to it, take my word for it. I have plenty more great things to say but then this review would be too long for anyone to read through. Wolverine rules!
a failure to some, great to others

This game did not appeal to me very much at all. The combat system had a good concept, but was not executed the way I thought it would be. You hit an enemy and after a couple of slashes, he realizes he's hit. Stealth kills aren't all that either. The graphics on this game are horrible. When I saw screen shots of this game, it looked good, but as soon as I played it, looked like a Playstation 1 game. The control and camera was not terrible. It's somewhat ok and works for me. The story was probably the only good thing to ever come out of this game. Wolverine has a virus in him and has two days to find a cure or he dies!! Voice acting was GREAT for obvious reasons (you figure it out). But in the end this game was dumb. Only fans of the X-men comics, movies or whatever will like this game, and others will not.

I don't understand all the negative reviews of this game in magazines and internet articles. I find the game to have an interesting story, while not babbling on for hours (ie you get to play more than watch, unlike Metal Gear Solid 2). The voice acting is really good for Wolverine and Professor X, with some of the characters who only have a couple lines being so-so at times.
I enjoy the fighting system. The combos look cool, which is their purpose. Boss fights are probably the worst part of this game though. All the bosses I can think of have something special you have to do to be able to trigger a combo on them, and several of them you don't think of -- you just kind of stumble onto them. Also, near the end of the game it gets REALLY hard.
The camera does suck, just like it does in any 3rd person game where the camera isn't attached to the ceiling or to some rail. But it's no worse than any other game I've played which uses the same type of camera.
The game looks a little lighter on the graphics for the most part than other current PS2 games: the polygon counts are lower and the little touches aren't there. But the game's "Instinct" mode looks really cool: being able to see foot-prints and the smells of the enemies comes off really well. The animations in the games are really good though. They have a convincing weight to them and they always seem to blend into each other perfectly.
The game, like the spiderman games, has lots of unlockables. The most entertaining of which (for me) was the costumes, which seemed to be pretty easy to obtain, unlike some of the spiderman games.
In short, I found this game to be really fun, occasionally frustrating (boss fights), and looking good enough to great depending on what element you're looking at. And the sounds is good, although the music gets repeditive sometimes.
Another disappointment...

As a rather big fan of comics, especially X series... This is just another in a long line of disappointments. I have never found a Marvel game worth the $ you shell out for it. If you really must have this, wait a few months or find it used. I gave this 2 stars because the graphics are pretty nice, but thats where that ends. If you are a hardcore fan, then maybe this is for you but if not, just wait or go get something else.
Great story Good graphics Very HARD!

I love Wolverine I love the X-Men. This is the best related Game I have played on a consol. But the graphics could have been much better (they actually look like Nintendo 64) I like the storyline it makes a lot of sence if you like the comics. However it has nothing to do with the Movie. I wish that they would have polished it up a bit more and released it when the movie comes out on DVD. Some of the levels are way too hard without help and there should have been some checkpoints to even this out. I give the gameplpay a 3 but since it is Wolverine he gets a 4.
