X-men Next Dimension

Good game for what it is and the time that it was made. I think the cinemas are neat to view, the ones you unlock as you play are even cooler. the unlockable players add a bit more to the game also. I wish these characters were in an actual adventrue game with these abilities and the way they look, that would rock even more. plus i get to play with my favorite character 'the pheonix" and her more powerful and vengeful counterpart "the dark phoenix". I'm thinking there should be a game that chronicles, the phoenix's rise in Jean and protecting the M'kron crystal.......and maybe the rise and taming of the dark phoenix, I'd pay a couple of hundred dollars for that one.

A Fun Game

this is a pretty fun game. the look of the x-men characters is diffrent but thats okay. it's enjoyable and entertaining. The character i like most to play is Juggernaut, because he's practically unstoppable. this was a fun game i recomend it.

The Truth about X-Men Next Dimension...

Well lets see here... I found X-Men Next Dimension to be better than the previous X-Men fighter games. This is of course because we are talking PSX 1 to PSX 2. Other than this the game itself was decent, for a fighter title that is.

Although fighter titles are not my favorites I did find this game entertaining even though it became slow and sluggish as I went on. The reason I gave this game a mediocre rating is becaue it is mediocre by nature. This game could have been so much more and it wasn't, I'd suggest renting before buying hands down. Still it could be worse... it could have been Silent Hill 4: The Toilet! :)

Absolutely Awesome ( really)!

My brother wanted me to buy this game because he thought it looked cool. I bought it and loved it right away. This game has more than fifteen characters!!!! I think my favorite would be Blob(who you have to unlock). The only thing bad about this game is that my favorite mutants(Apocalypse and Pyro) aren`t in it. However, this has a wide variety of choices for villians. One of my favorite is Lady Deathstrike who can stab anyone with her adamantium claws. In
most x-men games they make Sabretooth look like a clown, but now they made him like a cool character. I will name six characters. Magneto, Dark Phoenix, Bishop, Gambit, Toad, and Bastion. I absolutely love this game!

Entertaining

First off I must say I was indeed impressed with this game. I had played the ones before it and they were lacking and dull. The fighting in this game is interesting and refreshing. The aerial combos are highly entertaining and fun to pull off. This game is fun for hours and has a nice 3-D enviornment that allows you to throw opponents throught walls and through holes. It's a nice way to do a little extra damage and change enviornments.
The characters faces look a bit distorted though and could have used some extra work.

this game is really good except for the xtremely long loading time between matches. there was enough time for me to get a few sodas and come back and i didn't miss a thing.

Good, but could be better

In a nutshell:

Graphics are good, but relative to other PS2 games, they could be better.

The moves... ARGH. Yes, you can practice them til you're blue in the face, but it doesn't make much difference if the blasted Sentinels are kicking your tail, does it? Definitely could have done without using the darn analog stick for some of those moves. Plus, and this I had to figure out by trial and error and many many beatings, you sometimes have to reverse the buttons when you're standing in a different position. What would have been left-right-circle is now right-left-circle. Fortunately, most key combinations are the same in most characters. And there are some *really* nice moves.

Maybe I'm just too dim to figure out how to do this, but apparently you can't save story mode, which is pretty annoying when you get about 7 fights in and stop, think you've saved it, then come back to see that you in fact have to start from the beginning. Very frustrating.

Very pleased with the character selection here.

Overall, if you're a diehard mutant fan and don't mind endless lists of moves, go for this game. It's nice to unleash Wolverine at the end of a busy day.

Man Marvel does it again!!

I'm a huge x-men fan, and when i saw the game on the internet i knew i had to get it. This is my first x-men game that i have owned, i have rented X-men Academy 2 it was pretty kool but this game kicks [its bottom]! The graphics are amazing not to mention the 24 characters avaliable and the 4 secret ones. The graphics are almost 100% perfect but there are a couple of little things that get in the way. There are a bunch of locations where your mutants can have and all out bral. The affects of the game is asome to, the locations are buetiful etremly detailed and very intercative. You cna kick an oppenent of an unfisched skyscraper into a nearby billboard and then they fall onto a taxi bellow. The charactoers each have thier own super powers and each is differnt. Some of them are taken from X-men Academy2 but they are much more thrilling and some even take up the full screen. Some of my farvorite characters are cyclops, wolverine, storm, phoenix, gambit, rouge, betsy, and havok just to name a few. in the next game i just hope they add iceman, shadowcat, and pyro and other kool x-men. But its a great game, so get it already!!!

Marvel does it again!!

Sup everyone,
I just got this game a while ago from a good friend of mine, i have always been an X-men fan! This game gets 2 thumbs up from me. I have played other X-men games but this I think is the best. The graphics arnt amazing but they get a 95%to me. The charactors attacks are really cool, most of them are hard to do and it gets a little frustrating but its not impossible, i really havnt gotten to far on the game but i try to use all the charactors to get a feel for it. The training part of the game isnt that fun and it takes a long time to learn the charactors main and most powerful attaks. Like rouge, it took me foever to learn how to obsorb life and alot of stroms attacks are difficult to. But other than about 2 or 3 flaws the game has i think its a great buy.
