Do not spend your money on this weak sims game

Okay when you get into the game you like the 3-D graphics and all that. Well the first thing is you need a memory card 1 and 147 blocks. Then you realize you do everything you do in just about any other sims game.

Positives- You can get married,Abducted by aliens,slapped with a fish,have fun when your married like cuddle and woohoo and be a ghost and scare,possess,vomit,or wail at people,move your charectar without stick,make your own,kill someone,go places,fashion,acsseriores,tatoos,create an alien,have alien furniture,new and cool items in the catalog.

Negatives- No kids,you can't get pregant,you can't go to work with yor sims,all items in catalog a the same,and things like that.
There are alot things wrong with this game so i'm tellin you to stick with the pc version.

Graphics 9/10
The clothes, people, and objects are all so life-like! You can get way up in their faces and sleep and actually turn over like a real person. Also, when you're by a radio you snap your fingers and if you're by trash you fan your nose! It's so cool!

Music 4/10
The music is very disapointing for a sim game. In the very first place you come, the music is HORRIBLE! It's the gibberesh version of Avril Lavigne and Hilary Duff. It's so gross and irretating you are better off with silence.

Overall Gameplay 9/10
The whole game is lovely! You can do all sorts of things with your sim, and the sims around them! It's wonderfull! And it's a very excellent job by Maxis! It really stays true to the feeling of the sims.

All in all, you should get this game! It's the best Sims game in my opinion!

I'm unsure why this game received so many negative reviews. I had this for my PS2 and loved it so much that I bought the Gamecube version to use on my Wii. If you know anything about Sims games for video game systems, you'd know that the majority of them are not completely like the original PC version. If you buy this game, you must know that no, this isn't exactly like the original BUT it's still fun nonetheless.

So what's to like about this game? First, I prefer to play with another person because it can get hard having to control multiple people. Each character has their own goals (some are hard and some are easy). You must achieve these goals while maintaining a job (preferably) and keeping your stats up high. It can get difficult but that's what I love about it. While one character is trying to keep his hunger level up, I can switch to another character and achieve her goal of painting a quality picture. There's a ton to do to keep you busy. Eventually, you get your gold goals that, once completed, unlock another location. The different places you can live in are so cool (from an ordinary house, to a hotel, to an artist's museum). You can even live on a boat once you complete a few rounds of the game!

Second, when you go to each new location, you get to hear a story about what's going on with the people who live there and what their ultimate goals involve. Each location has different goals and a cast of wacky chracters which makes for a non-repetitive game.

Third, it doesn't get old. Yes, once you beat the entire game, you may not want to replay the whole thing over again. However, after you achieve your gold goals, you can still play at certain locations and the goals keep on coming.

What's not to like? Those who want this to be exactly like the original game will be disappointed. No, you can't have children. No, you don't have complete control in Free Play mode. However, the achieving goals part of the game is fun and addictive.

Be sure to TRY this game before completely writing it off as a bad one. You may enjoy it! It's one of my favorite console games.

This is a really good game. Its one of those games that u have to play but dont really want to play untill ur playing it, by which time u cant stop playing it. U can control ur guy/girl with the d stick (direct Control) or push the Z button to let them move around by them selves. The basic thing in the game is to keep ur sim happy. There is a story mode where ur sims have wants and needs that u have to fullfil or they die or get depressed and wont do anything. There is freeplay mode (i havent tried it yet), and there is multiplayer mode which is just like story mode but there is more than one person playing, u even use a already created story mode file! The new
player(s) creates a new sim and when u go back into single player mode u have control over that sim(s) they/he/she created. There are 4 basics for the sims personality, romance, poularity, wealth, and knowledge. u also get to customize ur sims personalities just like in the computer version. If u by a wardrobe u can change ur character's (and any characters u control) clothes, and hair style and color. this means u go back into the menu u have to choose from when ur first creating ur sim. Also when a sim dies there gohst haunt the place they died at. If u have control over a sim that dies u can control the gohst. Gohst can float through walls, and instead of the normal sociale activities they can puke on people, take over there body (when u do this they act like a chicken), wail, and spooke. If a sim dies on accident or u want to bring back a dead sim u can beat Death in a fiddle challenge or pay him 100 money to come back to life. Ur sims have wants that (depending on ur basic personality) can range from woohoo (in bed) to getting a job. If u raise ur sims liking for another sim enough u can propose to them. Any sim u marry u gain control over them u can also cheat on them with other sims (if u choose romance as ur basic personality then u have to because they usualy have "WooHoo with 2 different sims" or "WooHoo with 3 different sims"). By fullfilling ur sims wants u get apiration points which help u unlock new objects, and fullfilliing ur sims gold and platinum needs u can get new locations. there are some characters in new locations that u can control even though the game made them. so all in all Sims 2 is an extremly fun and addictive game.

Okay i had my mom order the game and i'm waiting.i hope this game is as good as the pc verzion.i read alot of reviews like having toddlers getting preagant teens and old peole having jobs two or more story houses getting married the 3-d graphics.wow i don't get my copy till sat. i i love the game i'll give you guys the real heads up.i think this verzion is better than the sim1 sims bustin out and other.you get other sim2 game like nightlife2- u get to own a car university2 and coming up own a store

It says that the sims have memories on the game now, included with realtionships, and also I keep finding a little text on the right side of the "relationship" with a certain person, where can I make the memories pop up?

all i have to say is. if you dident realy like the pc or mac one and hated bustin out. THIS GAME IS FOR YOU!! i own bustin out and coldent beat the artist part. I COLDENT GET MY GUY IN A GOOD MOOD!! errr I WAS PULLING MY HAIR OUT. and i dident realy like the pc one i founde it kinda hard to manage alot of sims. but over all it was a good game and i still play it alot.
i rented this with a bnch of my friends and LOVED IT. YOU CAN CONTROLL THEM WITH THE STICK THINGY WOW!! NO POINT CLICK STUFF. and you can MKE your own food &hearts ITS GREAT. good luck. have fun.

This game is so cool. I asked my dad for it for a christmas present and ever since, I've been playing it like crazy. It is far better than "The Sims". I would recommend this game for children of ages 11-17. The Sims 2 is totally awesome. You can create your own sim, directly control every move, design dream homes,and there are more than 350 objects! Build skills, maintain careers, and make friends and foes. I think MAXIS did a good job with this one. This game ROCKS!!!

the sims 2 for video game is better.

pepole r complainig so much about the game if they r really sims fan they should support the sims for any system the sims for computer has no type of options but for a system it's better pepole don't like the sims for a system because they don't like to challenge themselves how can pepole say some sims r boring for the system when it could be the same way for computer plus don' they have glichtes on the computer when u play them? come on sim's lovers!!

I bought this game for my sis for Christmas she always wanted the sims 2 but my pc was not the best because of the specifications you needed. I decided to buy her the Sims 2 for game cube and she enjoys it very much. She was addicted to Sims and talked about getting sims 2 for at least 2 years. The only thing she does not like about this one is that you can't make children but she likes to Woohoo!! anyway. She like to play it in story mode since there is more adventure that way and thats were you get to unlock streets and clothes etc. The game is great and if your pc is too slow for the Sims 2 i recommend this one.
