All I can say is WOW! The Dreamcast version is good but this is great ( Sorry about sonding like Tony the tiger )! With improved graphics, 2 player mode, portable chaos, and I could name about 999999999999999999 good things about this game.

When i first heard this game was called the "director's cut" I immediatally thought "new levels, new missions, added features and probably an updated chao garden" but no all i got was a re-released version of Sonic Adventure for the dreamcast. Yes it's exactly the same game, no new script, no new levels, no upgraded chao garden, just some unlockable Sonic game gear unlockables.

Now i'll admit i like the added game gear games, its just that they really shouldnt put DX or directors cut on the game when it has the same graphics as the dc or the same lines as they had in the game. They really couldve changed the music too, it's mustly heavy metal rock bands from the 80's. Ok maybe im a little tough on it but what do you expect from a five year re-released game. Sega really shouldve spent more time on this one then maybe i wouldnt be rambling on and on about this sick excuse for a remake/directors cut game.

This is the most action packed E-rated game there is!I already beat the game because I was hooked on it!If you like Sonic, this is the game to buy!

Sonic DX is a great game, including 6 characters, including one defect from Dr. Robotnic (a.k.a Eggman, but I've played every Sonic game excluding the Dreamcast one, and Eggman's Mean Bean Machine, so I'm an oldie). Also, if you beat all the 6 characters storylines you get an additional super-secret character "campaign" that goes head-on with a super-villian. I won't spoil it for you, but I'll just say that all those stupid hours of fishing as Big is paid off with the bonus character. And for you fellow oldies, if you have ever gotton all the Chaos Emerlands, or all the Super Emerlands, yes that is the person that you get, if you know what I mean. Anyways, its a great game, and if you like Sonic definantly get this game. For more facts on the game itself, check some other reviews as I'm not a big fan of the Mission Campaign,or Chao raising and I'm sure that the other reviews may have better facts than the some that I know of.

Well i've Beaten this game 8 times within 6 hours, and I'd like to say, this game is one of the best, even though its told that sonic team never got to finish "Sonic Adventure" the original, i give 2 thumbs up, But An annoying problem of the game is, "Im not sure if i can get the egg carrier flying again from the crash site" I don't know how, but my friend did it 3 years ago and i cant remember... But Overall the game of 60 missions, "Adventure Fields" , and even unlockable metal sonic, and E-101 B in his final form, Yes indeed i love this game, Still having fun with these two chars!!

Arguably, Sega really had a very difficult time trying to master their ways with their final video game system, Sega Dreamcast. Arguably, it was a very decent system that was reallt ahead of its time, and very revolutionary with how we play video games. Nevertheless, with the shadows of Playstation 2 lurking, Sega lost a lot of ground, and then became a software company, rather than a system company. As for Sonic, Sega's master sponsored mascot, he made a great pair of games from the Dreamcast. The launch pad, Sonic adventure was very challenging, and made a crossover toward its former rival Nintendo to bring the classic to the Gamecube.

Sonic Adventure DX for the Nintendo Gamecube, is a real delight where Sonic, Tails and friends go all out with each of their battle to deal with the mega-headed mad scientist Dr. Robotnik. The game isn't much for fans who've played it on the Dreamcast, but for Gamecube players, it is worth a challenge. The graphics are very beautiful, and have been mastered nicely with this version. The worlds are beautiful whether it is the Casinopolis lights, or the Robotnik airship Sky Deck. Each character has a different challenge, which also adds a bit of bulk to the game. The manuverability also works very well, but is easy to build up on with practice, especially when you're playing charcters like Big the Cat, and Knuckles. This edition also has some great games from Sega's Game Gear days that are here from Sonic, which personally is a little more definitive than the recently conjured Sonic Gems Collection with greats like Sonic 1, Sonic Chaos, Sonic Drift 2, and the prequel Sonic Labyrinth of the Sonic 3-D Blast Genesis masterpiece to name a few.

Sonic Adventure DX for the Nintendo Gamecube is a great video game for anybody who enjoys Sonic and his fast ways. This isn't as definitive for people who've conquered the Dreamcast version. But, the game is a absolute challenge for anybody who loves this speed devil.

In this game you can play as sonic, tails, knuckles, amy, E102-Gamma, and just to make it rock out even more, SUPER SONIC!!!!!!!!This game is so awesome that any sonic fan without one is not a true fan.

I think this game is awesome and I do think the camera is sometimes annoying but it isnt that hard. The other people are too dumb and demanding. This game is also more fun if you enjoy that it is sort of older version.I bought this game when it was 40$ and now that you can get it for 20$ I would say you should definitely buy this.

This is a great game because its a rerelease of Sonic Adventure for the Dreamcast onto a new system. I used to have a Dreamcast but it broke shortly after I beat this game so its a godsend that its now on Game Cube which is a much more satisfying system than the Dreamcast and N64.
I preordered this game but it hasnt arrived in my mailbox yet.It may just be me but when I preordered it it said the game was going to be released on the 14th instead of the 24th.I hope this doesnt mean the game isnt going to arrive because I preordered it too early. It may just be a patience thing but if it isnt Im gonna have to wait till September so I can get this game for my birthday.

Sega can you please do better next time?

To keep this review short I must ask first of all who named this game?!? When you think of director's cut you think oh, this is going to be a naughty version of sonic. No it's not for all you naughty gamers out there. This game is just a remake of a 4 year old game with better graphics. Sure it has more missions and game gear games, but is it worth your money? i beat this game in 3 days and after that I got bored, fast. So please if you must play this game rent it and after a few days you'll get tired of the game,too.
