Okay I'll come out and just say it. If you love The Simpsons (and who doesn't)then you'll this game. Literally. I just read a preview of it in Nintendo Power and it really looks hilraious. Homer walks around Springfield in his undies. Take it anyway you want folks. if you liked Road Rage, well then get this game. By the way, the missions are on foot this time as well.
All the cast members are lending their voices to the game as well as some of the writers. On the plus side the original developers (Radical Entertainment) are creating this game. EA Games however is not the publisher for this one as they were for the first one. FOX Interactive has that duty this time .
Between this and FUTURAMA, I'll be to busy playing them to thank the gaming gods.. I know you out there somewhere. :)

That's right, folks! Just like how Road Rage was a lift off of Crazy Taxi, Hit & Run is the Simpsons treatment of Grand Theft Auto, only with a PG-13 rating. Even so this game has a tremendous amount of promise and should be a Homer (bad joke). If you liked the game play of GTA, buy this one! If like me, you've never played any of the GTA games because you own a Gamecube instead of a PS2, they buy this game TODAY. You'll be getting the best of both worlds; a new Simpsons game chock full o' in-jokes and laughs, and a version of GTA for us Nintendo fans. Personally I'm so sure this is going to be a winner, I'm preordering it sight unseen.

It is definately not the lack of good previous Simpsons games that make Hit and Run so excellent. This game more than makes up for it's predecessors. It is one of the most enthralling adventure games I've ever played. Whether you are an occasional watcher of the show, a never seen it before viewer, or one of "those" who own every guidebook, DVD, the piano songbook, and the life-size homer cut out I saw at the mall today, you will love this game. It has racing, problem solving, obstacle courses, and mass destruction on its list of tasks, and I haven't even seen it past the first level yet! Avid fans will enjoy Hit and Run the most because of the many refernces to the show. You get to see the world's largest toilet, race through the nuclear power plant, collect tomacco plants, and (best of all) you get to kick Ned Flanders and other annoying characters many times. The main missions are easy enough to get through, but the side missions, extra races, gag tasks, and shear expanse of the Simpsons world will keep you occupied for many a sleepless night. The only downside so far with this game comes when you want to complete every single task per level. Then you find yourself in a quite frustrating search that takes you EVERYWHERE in Springfield that could make your temper throw the controller across the room. Be patient and enjoy the environment! Buy this game! Who could really resist seeing Homer run around town in his underwear?! And remember...No jumping in the Springfield Tire Fire!
Worst Simpsons Game Ever!

Well, that's what Comic Book Guy would say about the game, anyway- and he would be wrong. This game is easy to pick up and have fun with, but has tons to do, is difficult to master the controls, and has many unlockable items. In other words, it has everything a new gamer or a hardcore gamer could want. For any Simpsons fan, this is a must have. Thanks to the creators of this game for putting out such a solid title on Gamecube- we need more of these!

The Simpsons Hit and Run is pretty much Simpsons Road Rage except you only play the mission mode. There are more missions (more than 50 in all) than Road Rage, but you pretty much just drive around and try to collect items, or race people; That's it. You are able to get out of your car and walk around although through the first 15 missions (that's all I've played, and that is all I'm going to play due to mind numbing boredom) aside from getting out to talk to someone about your mission objective there is only one part of one mission that requires you to do that. There are things you can unlock by collecting different items around town and you have to get out and walk around to do that, but still collecting stuff gets old fast and so does the racing (I can only stand racing games when I'm racing real people). The people who gave this game a good review are obviously just huge Simpsons fans who have only played the game for 15 minutes (it's actually pretty fun for a while until you realize that almost every mission is the same). It's possible that you may like this game, it's also possible that you are an idiot.

There are a lot of people who say this game sucks because all the missions are all same. That maybe true but that is not the reason why the game is fun. The game lets you drive around all of springfield!!! and be homer marge lisa bart and apu thet all have 3 different outfits except homer and bart have six. There are tons of cars to own. Tons. there are tons of strreet races to take part in. it gets down to this if you like the simpsons get the game you will probably like it. If you don't like the simpsons don't get it.
Very Fun Not perfect.

This game is a real riot esp. if you love The Simpsons. Lots to see and do. Lots of gags that you may not catch right away, from funny road signs to hidden interactions. You can jump in front of ANY car in the game and hop in and drive it around! -pretty kewl! Some of the missions are very simple to complete and some are really difficult and require good skills and some luck! You can thankfully, skip a mission and go to the next after you fail it enough times. I have Road Rage also, Hit and Run is much more fun.
Cons:
Both games (RR & H&R) make me nauseous after a few hours of play, Road Rage is worse - guess I'm getting old. ;-) Also, the camera function is a little squishy, sometimes it gets "stuck" esp. when you are on foot. - not all that bad, but could be better. Some of the charactor audio is the exact same as Road Rage like when Home says "I'm not a very good driver" etc.
Bottom line, if you like race games, or if you are a Simpsons fan, you'll like H&R.
I gotta get back and 'finish off' a few black sedans to complete my current mission!
Ba-Bye

Simpson's Hit and Run is the type of game for people who like doing missions. It's kinda like GTA 1,2,3 and Vice City.
