This game is so addicting, you might as well crush the CD into a fine powder and roll up a dollar bill. I'm serious. Forget your job, your academics, or even the people in your life who are important to you, because after you start to play this game you will no longer have time for them.

I am a huge fan of the other AOE games, and this one does not disappoint. I have read a lot of reviews saying that this game was not up to par with the others in the series. However, there is no room for interpretation or opinion on this one. They are simply wrong.

The opening mini-story graphics sequence alone is worth the price of the game. It kind of reminds you of a battle scene in Lord of the Rings. Anyway, to say graphics throughout the game are drastically improved is an understatement. I was actually yelling for the little villagers to get out of the way because I thought they were real people.

You too, will enjoy creating a cyclops and watching him grab an enemy soldier by the ankle, swing him around like a lariat, and fling (actually, hurl) him at other soldiers. The game's detail is exquisite both graphically and intellectually. Is your 50-ft. collosus hurt? Eat a tree or some gold. That will help him regain some health. Yes, you read that correctly, I said "eat". Also, when advancing through the ages, you must choose which god to worship, and each has different special powers and advantages.

The best part about this game is that the mythological creatures and gods are included in ADDITION to, NOT INSTEAD of the other soldiers, cavalry, etc. Ensemble Studios deserves to get rich off of this one. The game is different enough to be fun and interesting, but similar enough to keep old fans happy. Don't try it, just buy it.

Oh, and here's a "PS" for people who are bashing the game saying it's too much "fantasy" - History is history, and there's only so much to go around...AOE covers pretty much every part of it before the use of guns. Mythology was a great idea. I doubt you could come up with something better or more imaginative.

FIRST OF ALL I HAVE NOT HAD THE GAME VERY LONG BUT ANYWAY...
THIS IS A GREAT GAME AND WILL KEEP YOU GAMERS OUT THEIR ENTERTAINED FOR HOURS.AS SOME OF YOU ALREADY KNOW WHERE I LIVE SCHOOL HAS BEEN LET OUT AND YOU CANT BE ENTERTAINED BY GOING OUTSIDE {like grown-ups think} FOR THE WHOLE SUMMER.
BUT THIS GAME WILL HELP YOUR BORDNESS LEAVE YOU RIGHT AWAY.IN THIS GAME THE GODS AND THE MONSTERS WILL FIGHT FOR YOU.BUT JUST BE CAREFUL OF WHICH GODS YOU PICK BECAUSE ALTHOUGH SOME MAY HELP YOUR OFFENSE YOU WILL HAVE A POOR DEFENSE.AND IF SOME HELP YOUR DEFENCE YOU WILL HAVE A POOR OFFENCE.BUT OF COURSE IF YOU HAVE THE CHEATS YOU CAN BUILD ANYTHING ANYWAY AS FAR AS HAVING THE WRIGHT SUPPLIES GOES.
AS YOU MORE-THAN-LIKALY KNOW SUPPLIES CAN BE A PAIN-IN-THE-... TO KEEP UP WITH BECAUSE IT TAKES MORE PEOPLE THAN YOU CAN COUNT IN ORDER TO GATHER A WEALTH SUPPLY OF WOOD,GOLD,STONE, ETC.BUT THATS WHERE THE GREAT CODES COME IN.
IF YOU ARE THE TYPE OF PERSON WHO IS INPACENT THEN YOU WILL WANT TO VIST WWW.CHEATPLANET.COM FOR CODES ON ANY GAME IMAGENABLE.ALTHOUGH THIS GAME IS FUN SOME PEOPLE WOULD SAY IT IS MORE FUN WITH THE CHEATS.

The most creative game I've seen so far. I especially liked the Single Player, Random Map, and Scenario Editor. I found that they are all powerful, but user friendly and fun. I dont know about the Multiplayer yet.

I feel like that most people would enjoy it.

This game is one of the greatest game Microsoft ever made. The great graphic makes the game fuuner and the playing moods (like campain, single player,...) makes it way different from other strategy games. It is from the creators of Age of Empires II, but believe me eventhough if you didn't like the Age of Empires, you would like this one.
The campain mood makes the game like a journey and for me... I couldn't stop playing because I really wondered what will happen next.
The multiplayer mood is kinda different from Age of Empires, you must sign up and establish a new user account.
It's also educational cause you can get a lot of information from the stories about the Greek, Egypttion, ... gds and gddsses and the myths.
I really recomend this game.

In a lot of ways, this is just more of the same, which is a good thing. If you like the main game, then you will also like this expansion.

I did note that this expansion is quite a bit harder than the main game. I ended up playing it at a lower difficulty, because I realized I just wasn't having fun.

This expansion adds a few gameplay twists. Many scenarios require you to either hold a position or protected certain things for a specified amount of time. Personally, I like scenarios where I am on the offense rather than the defense a lot better.

There also are a number of scenarios where you are somewhat limited in what you can do. Often, you can not create settlements for instance, which means that a lot of things you could normally do (like creating new workers) you can not do here. You simply have to do with what you are given.

Overall, I liked playing this expansion, although I liked the main game better.

The elements that the Titans expansion adds are incredible. The Atlantians are great to play and the fact that you can turn them all into heroes is very helpful.
Plus the the Titans are awesome!! The Titan's ability to destroy an entire civilization by itself is unbelieveable.
The only letdown for the game is that besides the addition of the Titan, there are no changes to the other races.

This will be the cause of sleepless nights for many

Wow, I just picked this game up last night and now I'm back at work with only a couple of hours of sleep. This game builds on the incredible Age of Empires recipe to make a game that is even more dynamic and inolving than the original. Think of it as AoE with mythical creatures and gods who actually will assist you in battles. Now you can summon creatures like Minotaurs, Cyclops, Hydra, Pharoahe's, and much more. But the coolest feture by far has to be the ability to use god power's. This feature alone gives it an edge over AoE.

The graphics are top-notch with the new 3D engine performing as expected. The musical score is also fantastic. Seriously if anybody enjoys a good complex and fun stratgey title, then you owe it to yourself to pick this game up.

Although games of this type have been made buy the dozen, Age of Mythology still manages to give a new spin on the genre. With God powers, exceptionaly unique cultures, and a vast campaign, AoM manages to be a very good game.
