Maaate! This game is a lot of fun. You play as Ty, the coolest game character in a long while. Ty has his own moves such as a powerful bite and an unreal collection of boomerangs such as a Flamerang (fire), Frostyrang (icy) as well as Zoomerangs, Doomerangs and Kaboomerangs. There's a lot of exploring to do if you want toget all of the gems Ty needs to move through the game, but it's well worth it. Ty has a lot of mates who give him advice and ask him for help but Maurie is the best. He's always giving Ty a hard time. And if you get tired of Maurie's attitude, you can always throw a boomerang at him :)

Ty the Tasmanian Tigers excels as an action-platformer....

I'll be the first to admit, Ty isn't very original nor does he offer anything new to the hordes of platform games out there yet what he does have that no one else out there has is attitude. I mean, how many games do you know that has outhouses for checkpoints? EA did a commendable job with Ty. Presentation and plot are top notch as well as gameplay and control. My only gripe has to be with the camera. Other than that, it's a fun game to play and I highly recommend to all platform game fiends. It's well worth a look.
Great Game

All the reviews are very accurate. Everyone in our family has loved it, even though it was purchased for my 4 yearold. We tried several Disney games but this one finally taught my son how to play the PS2. It is a perfect game for novice players (me), young players, and experienced players(Dad). The hard stuff we let Dad do. There is an automatic save during the game and the objectives are clear. My child doesn't become frustrated because if your character bites it, well, he just comes out the nearest dunny without having to start over. Ahhhh. Very fun game. I hope they come out with another one.
Stunning!

I LOVE this game. A long-time Spyro fan, I love the concept of running around and collecting things. If you love Spyro, pick this up. (Also see that Ty 2 was released without much notice.)
I just wish this game had an official strategy guide - don't worry - you can find a pictureless ( :( ) one online. Be on the lookout for Ty's cute little Aussie accent. Instead of fire breath? (Boome)RANGS to buy with special features. Ice, fire, electricity...
Now I want a plushy.
BEST PLATFORMER EVER!

Ty the tasmanian tiger offers non-stop action and fun, while the zany charecter personalities help the game to progress,I feel that the gameplay is just brilliant. From the moment I got it I just could not put it down.As ty, you will have to weild an assortment of different boomerangs to stop the evil boss cass I would rate this a definite must-buy

Bonza!!This is a really cool game. Its so fun playing it over and over. The Australian accents in the game are so hilarious! (no offense to australians!) You battle your way through the minions of Boss Cass as Ty. Ty is the tamanian tiger. Use your boomerangs to beat evil bad guys. There's over 12 different boomerangs. Get help from your australian animal friends as you go along the game. Collect Thunder Eggs to advance to the next levels. Collect talismans to bring back your family of tasmanian tigers. From the hot desert of the land down under to the refreshing ocean to the snowy mountains, fight through the levels and beat up the evil Boss Cass. You ripper!!

Ty the Tasmanian Tiger is just like Spyro, like everyone said. Collect items, battle bosses, do puzzles and more. This game has beautifully coloured levels and graphics, making this game one of the best PS2 ones yet!
There are many cheats to help with the game, including invicibility, all rangs, etc... but the second Ty does not have as good cheats as this.
Why do we only have 5 stars? It needs more!

This is the best game I have ever played! It has wonderful music, awesome graphics, complex levels*,and incredible colectibility(the rangs).
You would have to be the worlds most stingy critic to not like this wonderful game.Plus the sequels are good but not as fun as the original!
*No really the levels are huge!
LOVE IT!

I want a Ty 2! I love this game. It reminds me of Spyro; cute character, collecting things, wandering around, mini-games for gems...There was one scale I couldn't get and one other thing, but the code to cast streamers from the sky worked really well. Why hasn't a second game been made yet?!
AWESOME! ONE OF THE BEST VIDEO GAMES EVER!

Okay. Let me start by saying that this video game is absolutely incredible. It is very similar to Jak and Daxter and Spyro, yes, but that's exactly why it attracted me in the first place. I love "brightly colored" games, that aren't too dark and spooky. Ty is perfect. This game doesn't make you think very hard, and it doesn't make you work, but it's very entertaining, and well worth your time (and money).
