Awesome Game!

I really like this game! I love animals, so this is a great game to buy if you love animals too. I already have Dogz 3, and I like that game also. This is a great game to buy if you don't have any animals of your own, and want some. They don't bark when you don't want them to, and there is no litter to pick up. I really liked that you can breed your dogz or catz, and never know what they are going to look like, or how many, or what gender they are. It might get a little boring sometimes, but I always come back sooner or later. I also like all the new catz and dogz there are to choose from. I recommend this game to all animal lovers.

I got this game for my 2 girls (ages 6 & 3 ) and they really love this game. They're always telling me what new things they did with their "Petz". One thing they really like is taking a picture (with you own camera) and then loading it to the game and using it as a "playscene".
They've got their Petz playing in their room, at the Indianapolis Zoo, outside in the snow, etc.

we haven't experienced any problems with the game. overall, a great game.

I LOVE this game! I really enjoy creating my own breedz by breeding other petz! If you love animals, this game is for you!

My daughter who is 7 loves this game, however when the petz have a litter of puppies/kittens the game crashes and will not work. My husband has to uninstall and then reinstall the software. When this happens we lose the new litter :( Can't find a fix....

I had fun playing this game. I think the dogz and catz are cute and fun to play with. I would highly recamend this game to any one.

I only played this game at my friend's house for awhile, but I really liked it. I could tell she liked it too b/c she kinda hogged it! I am planning on buying it pretty soon, but I really liked it for the fifteen minutes I played it. It has great graphics, and the sound effects are hilarious. Great game.

I got Petz 5 for Christmas and it is by far my favorite game so far! I think the reason for the computer problems for others is they need better computers (not that the computers are bad, just they need updated ones) or their files are full, the reason for the disappearing Petz. For those of you who say it's boring, I can give you a whole list of things to do, but that would take up too much time! Oh, and what do some of you mean bad graphics? It's a style of graphics (the name has lost my mind-really!) and I do think they look alot like the breeds they reperesent!

Pros

-Having your petz fall in love!
-you can download new breedz and individual petz from many websites- but beware what sites you get them from!
-they actually remember how you treated them in the past!
-they are all unique-from different markings and eye colors to different favorite toys and personalities!
-Unlike Tamagotchi and Nintendogs, your petz won't starve, hate you, or die if you ignore them for a few days, like real dogs, they'll be overwhelmed with joy!
-I, personally, like to read the quotes about dogs and cats when the game is loading. I love the one that says dogs are the only living thing that loves something else more than itsself (you can tell I'm a dog lover!)

Cons
-I think they should add more breedz, I'm looking forward to a beagle, but again, they're are many sites to get them from!
-yes, I have experienct many glitches, only a few petz-threatning!

PS, Oh, yes, I must say how much I disagree with those who dislike the fact your patz can run away. Without this small threat each day, the game wouldn't be fun! Besides, you have a couple of chances to get them back! The fun of the game is taking care of them!

I got bored with this game fairly fast. However, I must say that my daughter loves it. Believe it or not, it has become an educational tool. She is four, and has learned how to navigate through some of the menus to choose different rooms. She has also learned how to choose a point on the screen with her mouse and click (by petting the cat and dog), etc. And all while having fun. The cat and dog fascinate her (even though we have three cats). The digital animals don't run from her, she can dress them up, give them baths, etc. I suggest this program over the other, separate versions, because you can have both the cat and the dog on at the same time without a whole lot of added expense.

Supposedly, the cats and the dogs each have kittens and puppies when they grow up, ala Sims. We have had the cat and the dog together for a month or so. No cat/dogs yet. Wouldn't that be cool, though?!

Update 12-18-05: My wife and I have adopted our own pair of kittenz with this program. Our daughter still spends a lot of time playing with her set. No puppy/kittens yet.

I have petz5 and I LOVE it! I have 44 animals! And I love them all! I will play for hours at a time! When my mom says stop I can't! I would play this nomater what! I LOVE PETZ5! I hate when my little brother plays! I want all the other games too!! I got it for christmas and loved it ever since!

awsome.you can dress cats and dogs,feed them play with them,and best of all become a fake virtual breeder and breed genarations of new petz!a must get,its no babyish,its just plain great!
