2 weeks before Christmas my son adds this game to his list. Found it at decent price, ordered it & came in FAST.

Played the game for hours Christmas day, and brings out the game to play every month. Considering there are games he NEVER plays that sit collecting dust, I'd say he's extremely happy with it!

We could not play the game because what Amazon sold us labeled as "CD ROM" (i.e. for PC) actually came as a PS2 game. When we complained to GameFunk, they said that they don't sell any PC games and Amazon was at fault. The game has been returned to them. We want our money back!

I got THUG and THPS 3 and THPS 4, and i can tell you that this game is just the game, great graphics, great storyline, incredibly amazing game control and the best fun factor. After you beat the game you can enjoy the classic mode that i can tell you is great. If you're a true fan of the series don't miss it you'll enjoy it for a long time, and if you get tired of doing tasks you can get online and play with some friends over the internet.

I certainly love this game and i play it a lot!This is my favorite of all the TONY HAWK games because even the old levels from the pro skater series are here too.It was also the last great game Tony hawk has done..I have bought his latest game and the american wasteland ones but those sucked pretty horribly i mean the graphics are no good and they're too hard for me!! This was the best.I have created a girl-skater on there who's name is something like WAITING FOR A GIRL LIKE YOU and shes dressed like a real skater and that's the skater i play compared to how cute she is!!!buy this without reason..highly recommended i mean you'll love it,it has PHILADELPHIA,LOS ANGELES,AIRPORT,and more!!

this game rocks the story mode is awesome and so is the classic mode and you can also play as wee-man, steve-o and even phil margera! i recommend this game to any fan of the tony hawk games.

i don't know how people can say they get tired of playing this game. the variety of skaters and levels is outstanding and the replay value is insane. i have had this game for about 2 years and play it every now and then because its just so fun to skate all the different places and unlock all the levels. a side note is to get all levels you must complete classic mode and get levels like. school,airport,the triangle, canada, los angeles,downhill jam, philly, and many more. the tricks are not all that open ended but if you can throw combos together your in for some awesome skating.

The best game ever! It rocks! But not as much for kids 10 or below. Teen - for Use of Alcohol, Language, Violence, Blood, Crude Humor, and Other Suggestive Themes. But a completely awesome game! Here are some of the areas:

Created Park... I havn't gotten much further than Skatopia.
This game has the Story Mode, where Tony and his gang go on the World Destruction Tour! PLUS it has the good old Classic Mode, featuring fan favorites like "SKATE", "COMBO" "SICK" and other mayhem filled missions. The best part is, you can create your own crap! Your own: Parks, Graphics, Skaters, Goals, and more! I unlocked almost every skater. Here's some:

Bull Fighter
Benjamin Franklin
Graffiti Tagger

Bam... and it goes on for a while.

I love this game! It's not too hard for kids to play (my 10 year old can beat it with max points and finds all the secrets) and it's not trashy so parents can let their kids play it, they keep it clean for kids with some adult humor but nothing raunchy, it's also cool so us adults can play as well! I love creating skaters and parks and the kids love the secret skaters like Jesse James and the Jester etc.
The graphics are better in this game than the others in my opinion also.

THUG 2- A breakthrough in skateboarding and general sports games.......-

Now I'm new to the Tony Hawks's series; in fact the only time I've played it before THUG was in a demo which I enjoyed but not so much the tasks of collecting the letters and stuff like that, (even though for those who love that type of stuff they have a "classic version" of the original Tony Hawks in THUG 2). These games offer the ever insightful approach of exploring your world on and off the skateboard. Especially THUG 2, since THUG I returned it on the same day I got it for Christmas merely because I felt dizzy, until I got the same feeling for THUG 2 but then I realised you got all songs not just rock, but hip-hop as well as few others. Anyways the story is intriguing and you travel the world doing various tasks such as breaking pipes and skating combos in a church. The possibilities are endless, plus for you alien-lovers out there you can unlock an outer-space world plus many others.
In short, not the best review you've seen true, but the game is much more to than just skating which is great, (did I mention you can switch characters from Tony himself to Bigfoot?!)
