Will not work for all

MS Flight Simulator has really great looking graphics and flight controls. The problem is textures do not render properly. I have an AMD Athlon 1.4 GHz with 1 GB of RAM and an ATI Radeon 8500. Based on the reviews I am one of the few who experienced this problem. It is possible that this could be a Radeon 8500 problem. Blue screens in place of textures and tearing are not very appealing.

Massive Improvement over earlier versions

I've been a fan of FS2000 since the beginning, but now that I've played this, the former seems like a rank beta at best. This is truly a huge improvement, especially in the areas of smoothness (no more slide shows, especially when panning or turning), and the addition of a 3D virtual cockpit. Microsoft has really done it right this time around.

I would reccomend this game to everybody who are now able to run fs2k on their PCs.Frame rates are better on FS2k2.
Though the only disapointment was the B747.
I love this"Jumbo" and was counting on it,the frame rate on the panel is a mess! And it is only on B747.
Hoping there will be a patch or a 3rd party designer make it better.
Still, this is a game you should get right now!!!

I hesitated to buy this product when it first hit the market because of Microsoft's propensity to release products full of bugs. So I delayed about 6 months and waited for the comments. My only regret now is that I didn't replace FS2000 with FS2002 as soon as it was released. This is by far, the greatest advance in flight simulation since the onset of computers. It's still not perfect but the minor flaws only occasionally detract from the game. And, with the availability of add-on aircraft, scenery and utilities, it comes very close to Microsoft's billing of "it's as real as it gets." Many of the add-ons are free from a variety of flight simulation websites. Other commerical products are outstanding and relatively inexpensive. All of this, combined with Microsoft's excellent platform, makes this the best of all simulation products...until the release of FS2004.

Amazing game...difficult controls

I decided to get this game by looking at ratings from Amazon, and they were sure right. This is a great game that might seem a little pointless, but once you get it, you'll see that just the thought that you're "flying" a plane makes it fun. I was slightly dissapointed though that even though it said nothing about requiring a joystick, all instructions were explained using one, and nowhere did it say "if you don't have a joystick, do this" This is a great game, and I'm sure it's even better with a joystick, so if you plan on getting it, also plan on spending a little extra on a joystick.

I tried flight simulator 2002 pro and it was great it has great detail with flight names aut pilot for easy flying through the air with your own permission to take off or land when you want to you also can talk to other planes in the air the airport tower will worn you when other planes are nearbyeand you can talk to the planes so that you dont crash into the plane in the air you don't wnt to make your passengers angry at your airline this game has great graphics and the engine sounds great it does not sound like a vacume cleaner like someone else said if you are wanting to get the flight simulator 2002 pro GET IT.

Real world that you can get....

This is the amazing PC simulation that I ever have.
It have best graphic than other one. You can fly anywhere, anytime with realistic graphic. My favorite airpane are
Boeing 737-400,747-400, Cessna Amphibian and others.
Unfortunately, the cockpit graphic doesn't real like the
scenery.

I can not get over it. When i was playing the game I was thinking to my self,am I realy flying a real plane or not. It sure looked like it. The grafics is so realistic and the controls and everythink about it is real. It is the best game I have ever played.

Microsoft FS2002 is the next step in the evolution of PC-based flight simulator programs. For those who have used previous versions, this one is better. For those who haven't, don't worry. FS2002 is as easy to understand and follow as they come. The flight instructor is very realistic and can get you flying quickly. Is it worth the price? If you like to fly-yes! If you're skeptical, find someone who owns it and try their's. Definitely an adictive game once you understand how flight works! My advice-get the pro version. It buries the standard. It's worth the extra bucks.
