Good, then boring.

This game is good at first. It's also very challenging. But after you have played it for a while, it tends to get really boring.

However, if you like games by Maxis, then this is a must-see. Maxis makes great games that are written very well.

This game deserves four stars if your playing for a boredom buster instead of enjoyment. This is a fun yet agrivating game that can keep you playing for days trying to get that big city any mayor wished they could have. The game is aggrivating in a way because it is easy to fail and have your city go into debt. But If youre bored this is a great game.

I agree yhis game is way better than simcity3000 because this one is way more realistic and simcity3000 is way too cartoonish

I got SimCity 2000 from a gift and it was a blast when I had my old computer from 1994-99 and I got a new computer in 2000 and I started installing the game from the floppy on my iMac. The floppy said there was an error on the disk and I was torn and screaming that I cannot no longer play it. Whenever I see SimCity 2000 at a store I pick it up only to learn its for WINDOWS I hate that. If you or you know someone who can donate or direct me where I can get a new version of SimCity 2000 for Macintosh please contact me immeadiately.

This is the ultimate version of Simcity. The newer version has more bells and whistles, but the game is essentially the same. Plus the new version is a memory/resource hog. In this version the urban renewal kit is the best part of the game. It's great to play together with kids (8 - 12) making it a good family game, also. If you like thought provoking, fun and educational games, this one is a winner!

I never really figured out how to make the city really "work"- putting in the water pipes and electric wires to electrify the buildings. It had really cool buildings, though (hundreds) and you could make the land mountainous or make it into an island in the middle of the sea. If anyone figured out how to really get into this, please say so!

This program reminds me of my old Atari 2600, only much less fun. There are no useful instructions, the graphics stink, and as far as I can tell the entire game is one dull and repetitious waste of time money and effort. After spending over two hours trying to figure out how it could possibly be enjoyable-I gave up.
Save your money-Don't buy this. I wish I could return this product. Or better yet, I wish someone had advised me not to waste money on it, like I am urging you!

I thought taht after five minutes this game was boring, but I kept trying because I knew most things get more interesting. However, this was not the case. Don't buy this game it is a waste of money, especially if you are a girl and have better stuff to do. I am not really a negative person but this was really a truly awful game.

Snort, I love this game. When I'm not defending the elfen castle ar darwin from savage trolls you'll find me with a bowl of lucky charms playing SimCity 2000! I can still remember the time I first played SimCity 2000...snort, I think it was the summer of 98. After a tough day of advanced calculus me, Roger, and Keith decided to skip our normal hangouts (the library or mall) and go browsing through our local electronic surplus store. I needed another 733mhz board for my motherboard so I could run dual processors when crunching data for the SETI site. Well. . . . .
