This game is superb. i personally enjoyed the game thoroughly. I enjoyed the choices for cltohing and accesories etc. But, i did not like how if you chose the creative aspiration, you had to be an artist when i wanted my person to be in the sport job. but i guess, if you finish that job you could go on to that. blahblahblah i am rambling. anyways, i loved this game, and i find it even more enjoyable with cheat codes. (well, not all of them, that would make the game to easy.)

This PS2 game isn't as good as the computer version, but it is still a great buy. The Sims PS2 version feels more like a game because one isn't able to download hacks and cheat.

a very good game until i finally finish decorating my house and the robbers come in and steal some of my furniture. very dissapointing

Honestly I think this is the best sims that they created for Playstation 2. The graphics are still good as usual..and there are tons of new items and social options. If you love the other sim's then you will love this one.

I?m back! And not understanding the situation here! All the recent reviews are like: "I got The Sims 2 and was like ?OMG! I got The Sims 2!? But after a minute of playing I was like ?NO! It sawkz!?" Three words: Get over yourselves! Try playing for longer and you?ll eventually find entertainment. And how exactly does it sawk(Sawk means S-U-C-K)? I took the risk of buying it and I have no regrets. In fact, I LOVE IT!!! But there is one thing that troubles me. I used the "Unlock all outfits" cheat but there is one hat that never opens up. Ah well...

Here is a list of 5 things you WILL do in The Sims 2, that is, if you don?t listen to the bad reviews:
1. Play in Free Play mode-
The main attraction. You can?t play The Sims without Free Play. Really: YOU CAN?T!!!
2. Use the cheats-
Without them you will never get the most out of The Sims.
3. Play as an psycotic alien in a metallic house-
You WILL do that!
4. Start a lesbian relationship-
What? It?s a tradition. It isn?t The Sims without lesbian relationships.
5. Buy it-
To to all those thing listed above!

And you CAN do all those things easily. For those of you who haven?t tried out the game, then DO IT!!! And for those who gave it a lousy review: give it another try. You?ll find some fun. And finally, people who gave it a good review: I agree with whatever you said. It?s not slow like TS1, not dull like Bustin? Out and not ?urban? like The Urbz. This is The Sims 2 baby, and it?s rocking my world and hopefully yours!
Overall: 9.5/10- Not perfect but close enough. Buy it!

I am not agreeing with Linda who previesly wrote in. Sims 2 is a great game even though the saving is not to good. You would be stupid to compair Playstation with PC because they are two diffrent things. It does get boring sometimes and it takes to long to load. I like it how it is kind of real and they are realistic looking. I would have liked it better if you could own horses and build stables. Also I think their should be some pets in the game. You can make peaple look like celebirtys also. Mine looks like Cher! I have never played the first Sims game but this one is fun. If you want a game that can keep you busy for a while, this is the kind of game. You can ever read books! You can die and challenge the Grim Reaper to a fiddle contest!

It's alright, but the PC(or Mac) version is wayyyy! wayyyy! better. I haven't played the ps2 version yet, but I've played the gamecube ver. (it's the same, don't worry) The clothes are pretty interesting, acctually, but after you build up friendships and maybe... love - the game does get pretty boring.

How to Have Kids:

Listen up, simsloving kid
Step 1. Go into storymode
Step 2. Go into your family
Step 3: You, are so stupid. If, you were a hard-core fan, you would have already read the online FAQ's/Guides and found out that... YOU CAN NOT HAVE KIDS!!

Why do you think that there are no -Family- Aspiration! It's filled in w/ Art! In the PC you have -Family- because you can have kids! For anyone who has it knows what I'm talking about.

Anyway, sorry 4 being so cruel, but it sort of obvious. Please read the FAQs/Guides?Cheats for Sims 2 PS2. It will help a lot!

I have not played the Sims 2 on PC, but I have the original Sims on PC as well as several expansion packs and was totally hooked on it for a long time. When I found out there was a Sims 2, I went out and bought a PS2 (because my computer is old and totally slow) so that I could try it. There are some good points to the new 3D edition and some bad points. I could make a long list but I'll only mention a few.
