Great Game!

I just got a computer for Christmas, with Windows XP. On the computer, you can play games...and Bejeweled 2: Deluxe was one of them. I had 1 hour and now I think I have 12 min.

The levels are very fun, and the game is easy to learn how to play. Jut click on the jewels and try and make three-five (or is it six?) in a row. Simple. But, really, it's my new favorite game and I plan on getting it for my birthday!

Buy this game!

I like this game a lot. It has different variations that include timed games and endless games. If you have a new computer set up the better resolution and faster acceleration... you get the cool "wormhole" transition between the worlds!

Be forewarned, though. This game is simple and easy, but challenging and highly addictive! I wanted to play a 'couple' of games and wound up killing an hour!

I have enjoyed this game very much. The only frustration is that I am not learning what my mistakes I am making in the classic mode. I don't seem to get any better. I wish there was a way to click on a button that would back up and show you want you did wrong.

Title says it all!!! The graphical screen displays, menus, background music and play action sounds of the Xbox 360 version appears to be identical to the Microsoft Windows PC version except for a "pause" button on the screen for the latter. FWIW, a "pause" button in a game like this that you may find yourself playing for hours on end, is an extremely useful feature.

In this game, of which there have been many other PC game company knockoffs - most not nearly as good, you are essentially playing against yourself by continually trying to better the highest score.

Creating and activating as many Power Gems and Hyper Cubes as possible is the key to great in-game special effects and scoring lots of points in rapid succession. The latter are few and far between, especially multiples Hyper Cubes on the Bejeweled playfield at the same time, but always a delight and satisfying when you are finally able to create and explode them to score points.

The "ACTION" (or Timed Mode) is particularly challenging as you are also playing against the clock. In addition, there are three other modes, CLASSIC, PUZZLE and ENDLESS. By way of a friendly warning, playing in CLASSIC mode enables Bejeweled 2 Deluxe to end abruptly when there are "NO MORE MOVES". This does not seem to ever happen in any of the other playing modes.

I have been playing this game for several hours - almost daily - for two weeks yet only (rarely) managed to score over a 100,000 points in ACTION mode a couple of times. I usually get through two or three levels but no higher before time runs out. HINT: I think trying to "save up" Power Gems, especially Hyper Cubes, is key to progressing to higher level. Of course the higher the level the faster the timer runs out. You can just feel the pressure.

This POP CAP sequel to the original Bejeweled has been greatly enhanced to include a new "Puzzle Mode" not offered in the first release. And that earlier version does not have the somewhat elusive and difficult to create Power Gems and Hyper Cubes, which, so get Bejeweled Deluxe "2" and have it all!

The out of this world (wallpaper-like) background screen imagery and original (syntheziser instrumental) musical score are both of high quality, although a bit repetitious during longer play sessions. I only wish for more variety in both cases; a minor criticism.

The Xbox Live leaderboard screen will blow your mind! There are many other players - tens of thousands - who apparently enjoy this game and are VERY good at it; of the four different game modes, some of the highest scores are in to the hundreds of millions! Amazing!!!

In conclusion, this game is more than just addictive, it is EXTREMELY addictive, guaranteed!!!

My wife and kids are addicted to this game. They are in a contest to see who can get the most points. They play it for hours at a time!

Addictive and splashy, but non-violent

This is my current favorite PC game. I find it hard to resist. Better than caffeine at getting the adrenaline going. Challenging, visually appealing.
