This is one of the best games I have ever played! If you like action and adventure games this is the one for you. It's really fun!! The one thing I would change is that you can't save when ever you want. Besides that it is a great game!

This is one of the best PlayStation Games I have played in a long time. The graphics are beautiful, the characters are really cool, and the gameplay is excellent! There are two different characters that you alternate playing. Sometimes you fight monsters and sometimes you just explore and figure out neat puzzles. The storyline is absorbing too. The only possible quibble I can think of concerning `Sphinx` is that there is dialogue you have to read because the characters don`t talk themselves. But don`t let that dissuade you from purchasing this fantastic game! One last thing: the only reason it is rated `T` for Teen is because of some fantasy violence (but no blood or gore) and scary situations that might frighten the younger crowd. In other words, no swearing or other bad stuff.

This is a great game for any of you people out there who love ancient Egypt! The game is very exciting but not very accurate. All the main charaters in the game are white. (The Ancient Egyptians weren't white!)But besides that the game is fantastic. The graphics are the best I have ever seen in my life! They are so detailed. And the music puts you right into the game. If you haven't played any PS2 games lately this is the won to get!

Finally, a game that challenged the mind while enchanting it at the same time! The graphics were great, and if you're a lover of ancient Egyptian architecture/art, then you'll love this game! (Yes, I know some of it is not the most accurate, but it's a video game, for crying out loud! lol) The background music is soothing, and the puzzles, while challenging, aren't impossible. I like the concept of playing two completely different characters, too! My only complaint is that there were too-few save-points, and the camera angles were sometimes a bit wonky. Other than that, I give this game a huge thumbs-up!!!

Shynx and the Cursed Mummy is a very fun, yet challenging game. Not to mention funny.

Romping through Ancient Egypt and re-killing mummies, always geta a little tiresome, so the Mummy is thrown in there for a little spice; the icing on the cake, if you will.The mummy is very funny, not to mention Clumsy.

Sphynx is the ultimate hero, tall dark and deadly. This game is so much fun. THQ you've mad a huge hit.

This game is so challenging, it's full of puzzles, you have to open doors and stuff to fight a huge zombe in the end.

Overview:

Fun- 10/10 A lot of Fun, very funny.

Gameplay- 10/10 Just right, controls aren't too simple, arent too hard

Difficulty- 11/10 It's hard to conquer te leve.

Graphics- 10/10 Great Graphics

This game is more than perfect, it's the right amount of challenge and adventure mixed with the right amount of mind-games and comedy. This game is a must for you're christmas stocking. Buy or Rent this game, it's worth every penny and worth every minute played. This game is TOO much fun to play, you need this game.

This game is pretty cool. It has some hard puzzles that you have to solve. The only think I don't like about this game is the characters don't have their own voices like in FFX or other games. Being a new game, the creators of the game should have thought about this, it would have made the game even better

Dont judge this game by the first 30 minutes of playtime. For some reason, this game happens to start of really s l o w l y, but by the time you get through the first areas- it picks up steam nicely.
Taking the standard platform game and giving it a little twist, THQ and Eurocom have come up with a great new addition to the genre. You can play as two characters who must accomplish tasks seperatley, but will ultimatley benefit them both.
The first hero of the game is Sphinx, a demigod who is sent on a mission by Imhotep. He senses trouble brewing and dispatches Sphinx to figure out what is going on. Although you start the game off with the ability to jump only- you soon acquire a sword and a shield. Add to that the ability to swim and fire blow-darts, capture monsters and ride on zip-lines- before too long Sphinx is shaping up to be quite the hero.
The mummy is by and far the most fun to play in the whole game. Mummies are dead right? So you now have to come up with inventive ways in which to use the reanimated corpse to solve puzzles and explore the great castle that you have been thrown in. The mummy can be sliced, flattened, lit aflame and even electrocuted...just some of the ways in which an otherwise unpleasant situation can be turned to your advantage.
The gameplay mechanics are great, and one of the best things about this game is that you can assign different funtions to different buttons on the controller, customizing it just the way that you like.
The environments are presented in stunning detail and the characters that you control and interact with are animated in great style and detail as well. At times I am amazed at the feats of computer animation that this game presents...a great framerate is present and there is no noticable slowdown at all. The only thing that might detract from the experience are the load times...while not long, they happen quite often when transitions happen from indoor to outdoor locations and the like.
While not an insanely difficult game, some objectives are not clearly lined out and explained so you will sometimes find yourself wandering about wishing someone would come along and help you. Other than that, there are no problems and the game is a fluid and enjoyable experience.
This game is great for those that love platform games that are infused with some great action/adventure elements. This game is as big a treat to watch as it is to play...the developers have done a great job...I cant wait for the sequal.

This is an overall great game! The game starts off pretty slowly, but once you get the hang of it, it will move along much faster. The graphics are great, the charaacters are great, but there stlill is a down-side. The characters do not talk, only little subtitled words come out at the bottom, saying what the characters are trying to say. The other bad part about this game, is that there are these statues where you are supost to save your game. And, lets say you are in a very important part, and only have one life left, and you didnt go to one of those statues, you have to go all the back to where you firts saved. But, overall, I give this game two thumbs up!

this game is great i just got it for Christmas. This is one of the best games of the year.Graphics 10, music 10, gameplay 10, diffuculty 10, weapons 10..I love the stragety tasks, they are really fun to figure out. I especially like the part when you get to use the blade of Osiris that you can slash your enemies with and i really like the shield of Osiris because you can guard yourself against powerful blows and magical attacks. The blow pip s tight to because you shoot monsters with darts from far away. I doubt you'll get bored of this game

Excellent game. I am a big fan of the Zelda games on Ninentdo and this is the first PS2 game I've played that comes close to the look and feel of the Zelda games. Great graphics and story keep the action moving. I also like being able to explore without having a time limit. The only real drawbacks -- and the reason I did not assign 5 stars -- are the "save" feature and the long load times between segements. Unlike other games (such as the Zelda games), your place is not automatically saved when you "die" or when you have to shut down for the evening. This leads to having to play the same course over again just to get back to where you were before you had to shut down. Other than those two issues, this is a game I can recommend without hesitation.
