Great graphics - you can see the enemies breath in the cold air. The girls with the SS are beautiful and sexy. Missions are fun and exciting. Can't wait for the next edition. Beats EA's MOH Rising Sun hands down.
Fantastic "M" rated shoot-em-up!!!

I loved the original Castle Wolfenstein on the PC way, way back when. I was pleased to pick this game up, it's a BLAST! The graphics are sensational, particularly when compared to the original. The mazes are challenging, the bad guys are bad, and the monsters are REALLY bad!!!
Want to turn off your mind and relax? Check this game out! NOT for kids, it's correctly rated.
BUY THIS GAME!

This is diffenetly one of the best PS2 games ever made! Excellent graphics and excellent game play. You travel through several different environments like in a castle, outdoors, in egypt, a military base, etc. It also has a good story line. Even though this game has been out for a long time now, it is still one of the best out there.

I've only played the first 3 boards so far. However that's enough to know this game is worth only $..., not $....
The shooting action and killing action are fairly [bad]. When you shoot, you don't get the sense that your doing the shooting. It feels more like your pushing a button on a controller which is activating an animated gun on your television screen. The same is true for when you hit someone (shooting them). When you hit a bad guy they just fall-no dust blowing off of their jackets or blood. If you played and liked Medal of Honor or the oldies like 007 goldeneye(N64)or Perfect Dark(N64), then you will be disappointed. I consider realistic gunshots(a sense of recoil and power coupled with good sound effects) to be the most important element of a good 1st person shooter, if that [is bad] then there is not much worth playing for.
Otherwise the graphics were just OK. Nothing to right home about. Controls were decent, learning curve pretty short (10min).
Overall this game brings nothing new to 1st person shooters. It would have been better if released in May 1995. If your thinking about buying this I would definately rent it first or just dig out Goldeneye from your archives.
I'm assuming the PC version is a whole lot beter because I keep seeing rave reviews for the PC. If you play this on PS2 and are raving then I would guess your only about 10 or 12 years old and never played the games mentioned above before.

I just finished this game and was not happy. The visuals are way too dark, even on the brightest options settings it was hard to see. What a disappointment. My biggest problem was with the very linear plot, one way through each level, walk in and shoot. No strategy at all. My latest test of a good game: Walk up to a fuel tanker truck, place a ton of explosives on the side and detonate. If the truck doesn't move and there is not a scratch on it when you're finished, then you have a crappy game on your hands. Wolfenstein failed miserably.
Not too bad at all

This is the first time I have ever played a game from the "Wolfenstein" series. Aside from the aiming and the quick moving enemies, this game is pretty good. The graphics and sound effects are neat, and the story is a nice portrayal of the WWII era. Not as good as "Medal of Honor", but enjoyable.
ONE OF THE BEST GAMES OF THE YEAR!

When I first saw that Return to Castle wolfenstein games were coming out for video game consoles, I doubted that any of the console games could match up to the PC superior. However, this game does not fail to show up with the goods. With many detailed levels, excellent gameplay, and a multiplaer mode, Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Operation Resurrection may outrun Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Tides of War and the PC version by far, not to mention become eligible for one of the best games of the year.

Awesome game!! It starts out alittle slow but it is the first game that I have enjoyed as mush as Frontline. The graphics are great. They do a great job with fog and fire(flame thower). The story kept my interest all the way though. If you like Frontline, 007, Half Life you will like this game.
