Better that most games! I am a huge fan to the series and have beaten both of the other 2. this one is better than the first one and the second one and jak 1,2,and3 alll put toghether. singleplayer rocks. theres this new thing called battlefield missions. you get paied big bolts to do them. you actualy have people(bots)on your team when u play them. its cool before almost every battlefield mission you freefall drop out of your dropship with 6 other people (the rangers, robots trying to keep the piece) and you have to dodge missles as thes shoot up at you. sadly, i am pretty shure that only 2 randgers survive the jump cause they get hit with missles and stuf. some missions woy start on the ground and kill the enemeys as they dropship in to the battle its soo cool. well i got to go to school now so BUY THIS GAME

Being an avid player of the Ratchet and Clank games I was thrilled to hear a third was coming. This game is fun but not as fullfilling as the first game. When I got the first game, I loved it. It took a long time to beat and the weapons were awesome. I love the originial health system with 4,5, and 8 chances to get hit rather than the new increasing health as you play. With the new health it's much easier not as fun. I was very dissapointed by the lack of items and gadjets. No more having to get the gadjets. There are only like 5 gadjets and 5 items (unless you count vid comics) You start out with most of the ones from the previous games and don't get anything new and cool. It was really fun getting the thruster pack and 02 mask in the first game. Another dissapointment is that there aren't any hoverboarding/biking races. The levels aren't as long and most don't have two different objectives (in the first game you would get a gadget and an infobot in a lot of the levels. I hate the arena and battle field missions as well as the sewer crystals (they get you bolts but aren't fun and are boring).

It seems as though Insomniac is focusing on blowing stuff up and weapons rather than cool gadjets and story line (the story line was the worst part...it sucked).

I also hate the way you upgrade the weapons-KEEP IT SIMPLE IT'S MORE FUN!

Insomniac needs to stay originial, develop new gadgets, ideas, longer and harder levels, and work on the story line.

I still had lots of fun playing the game

I'd give the first game 10/10
the second 8/10
and this one a surprising 6-7/10
hopefully the next will be better.

If you're a Ratchet and Clank addict (like me) it's still worth every penny. If not get it anyway (but buy the first one first!)

This game is one of the best online shooter games ever!!! The controls are awesome!!! The online gameplay is sometimes fluid if u have a non-wireless router. The online mode can support up to 8 players per game and can have 2 people per vehicle. There are 4 major maps and there are 4 little ones. (Bakisi Isles, Hoven Gorge,Korgon Outpost, Outpost X12, Blackwater City, Aquotos Sewers, Marcadia Palace, and Command Center) The modes and vehicles are very limited but this is Insomniac's first online game so give them a break, alright? The modes are CTF (Capture The Flag), Siege, and Deathmatch. All very fun modes. The gameplay is chaotic, and the fun never stops. Vulcan turrets, flattened out animals, free falling from hoverships, gravity bombs, node fights, and with another Ratchet game called Deadlocked coming out in the fall, with enchanced online play, there's more fun on the way than you can shoot a Mini Rocket Tube at. If you get this game my gamertagg is Yoshmaster Q and Forwardhaloman so you can add me to your buddy list. Also the story mode is supurb 4of 5 stars!! Ok so shooting up aliens and stuff is a little violent, especially considering we don't have any guns in the house (toy or deadly) but the kids love it and my wife plays for hours on end. Very funny and the best game of the series in my oponion.

Wit hnewly relesed info from insomnic, there will be over 30 weapons. It has gotten 10/10 in every magazine and has rated over Jak III.

Simply put, the controls for this game are impossible. You need both analog sticks and just about every button to play this game. The movements are not intuitive and fustrating. The actual game play has components that are too easy or too hard. I expected great things from this game, but I don't even want to play it anymore. The graphics and concept seem good, so I'll give them some credit there.

While we have not completed this game, my family has played the earlier games in the Ratchet and Clank series. This is still my daughter's favorite series and this game has not disappointed her at all! The graphics are slightly different. The weapons have improved. The controls are similar. She jumped right in and was addicted within minutes of opening the box.

If you have never played Rachet and Clank I recommend the entire series from the first game on. If you have played the earlier games, I think you will enjoy this one too.

It has a "Teen" rating for crude humor and fantasy violence. Compared to the games most are playing these days it's pretty tame.
