My review of Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal

This game is one of the best games ever. What makes it really fun is all the weapons you can wield, and the missions never get repetitive. The story is about the nefarious Dr. Nefarious. His nefarious plan is to have robots reign supreme, and guess who has to stop his nefarious plans. There are also siege missions where you have to stop the tyhrranoids (the troops of Dr. Nefarious) from taking over the planet. There is now multi-player where you can choose from 3 different types of game modes. There is also online play, that like multi-player it has 3 different types of game modes, but it also has clans in it where you can challenge other clans or go in by yourself and you have a buddy list to keep track of your friends online. This game is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a very good game! If you've never played a Ratchet and Clank game before, you should start with this one. First of all, the controls are easy to learn and can be changed to suit your style of play (you can even make it first person!). You get loads of gun that can be upgraded, and it's just so fun to blow stuff up! There's lots of replayability (something that makes you want to play the game over again even after you've beaten it), and online mode! The online mode is spectacular! It's quick to pick up on all the online stuff, there's a bunch of costumes that you can be, and it supports headsets so you can talk to your friends and teammates to give them commands, it's a blast! All in all, this is a good game that you'll play for hours, and days, even weeks! If you have the money, or are recieving it as a gift, you're sure to have the time of your life!!!

rcuya is a great game. good amount of single player game and online mode is really fun. the new control setup thats 3rd person w/ fps controls works perfectly. weapons upgrade a ton but there could have been a few more gadgets. still an amazing game, one of the most fun games ive played.

November 3rd, 2004 is a date that I will always remember. Because on that date I got myself Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal + a head set for the online portion. I got home, popped in the game and the first person I meet was a friend I already knew. The best part was is that once I started playing the online portion of the game...I could not stop. I was really, really addicted to the game . With such a simple layout of 10 weapons and 10 or so maps, and similar gameplay to that found in UT200X games, I started play UYA non stop. I must have played 9 hours straight the first day I got the game. The second day 10 hours. After about two weeks of playing online I moved onto the single player portion of the game. Again, top quality work Insomniac Games did, the single player is very fun to play through, with weapons you need to upgrade even more times than the previous game. The level design was top notch, each world having vibrant colors that made them stand out and live. The story and voice acting was really well done in this game. The animation and the big bad guy was really well animated and acted with the voice actors giving life into each character. And like Insomniacs previous games, they added tons of replay value to the game, more so than any other game they have worked on. So once your finished with the single player, you still have the whole online world to get into, with tons of strategy involved in making this the best online game I played. - RCSI

Insomniac Games has done it again with Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal (RC: UYA). Ratchet and Clank rocked this world, Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando rocked this galaxy, and now for your interests RC:UYA is here to rock your universe. (who knows what they'll rock with Ratchet: Deadlocked)

RC: UYA is a game of supremes. It satisfies from the common customer to the most meticulous game judge. Starting with the extreme gameplay in the campaign mode (singleplayer), we hardly see repetiousness from the old games. They have done it anew. Different worlds, a different storyline, and even new dominantly powerful guns (with visits of the infamous and favorite old ones). You will have fun playing hours upon hours trying to beat the game. And what is best (just as in the old and is completely ingenious) is that beating it once isn't good enough. There are many quotas that must be completed before the final rendition of the game. What with finding trophies and completely upgrading your guns, their is no doubt that this game adds to one of the best franchises ever. But what if you finally beat the game? THERES MORE.

Not that you have to wait to beat the game to do this, but the ONLINE mode is completely insane. It is one of the best online games I have ever played. The rank system is what keeps you going in the intense world of RC: UYA online. At first you need to adjust to your surroundings and the way to utimately play the game, and when you have mastered this you will be just fine and increasing your rank. The online mode is what makes this game worth more than a five out five.

In closing I would like to say that this game is a necessity to any gamers library of video games.

Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal is a very funny and addicting game. You can do tons of things like: purchase and ugrades your weapons as many as eight times!, Play through multiple levels with optional quests, and last but not least play online with up to eight people in three different modes in a bunch of different maps. You can alos play the game again in challenge mode with all of the weapons and upgrades you previously had. This has been a fun game ever since I got it when it came out in November!

Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal is the best platformer on the market today. Ranging from an intense single player to a great multiplayer and an addicting online mode, this game is sure to hook you for a while.
The single player plays through many extensive levels each with their own missions. Playing through the 3D levels fighting the evil race of Tyhrranoids, the levels of "Agent Clank" and the 2D side scroller starring none other than Captain Qwark. To aid you on your adventure, there will be two vehicles to use at different times. These include the turboslider, a basic ground vehicle with a turret on the back, and a hovership, used in a variety of different missions. Also at your disposal is a full arsenal of upgradeable weapons. There is everything from a normal pea shooter, n-60 storm, to a sniper rifle, the flux rifle, to long range rockets, the mini rocket tube. They can be upgraded up to a version 5(v5) in the normal mode and a version 8 (v8) in challenge.
If you think the single player is great, the multiplayer is what puts this platformer up and over the top. You can play an offline mode with up to four of your friends or an online mode with up to eight. In both modes you have 20 skins (22 including nefarious and dan codes gotten off the official insomniac website). With these characters you can play in a variety of 10 different maps, ranging from the small Command Center to the large Korgon Outpost. You have three different modes you can play in at most of these maps. These include siege, capture the flag, and deathmatch.
Siege is a mode where you and your team go and destroy the opposing teams base. First you must destroy the two gattling guns outside the base then go inside and destroy the base core. In the attrition mode of siege, the more nodes in the level you capture the better your defense gattling guns are. If you have a mic, you can communicate with your team to set up strategies.
Capture the flag is just like the title says, you go to the opposing teams base and take their flag. Then you bring the flag back to your base and jump onto your flag, as long as its there. If it is not, you will have to wait for your team to return it. In chaos capture the flag it is the same concept but you do not have to have your own teams flag to capture it. Just like in siege you can communicate with your own team.
Deathmatch can be played in teams or by yourself. The object is well... to kill the opponents. If you have a mic you can talk to everyone. This allows trash talking or taunting, all in good fun J or just a chat while playing.
To aid you in all this addicting fun are the weapons. Here is a list of all the weapons:
N-60 storm- a mid range machine gun.
Mine Glove- mines that you can lay around the level. If the opposite team runs by, they chase them until they explode
Flux Rifle- no online game like this is complete without your sniper rifle, so here you go
Mini rocket tube- your rocket launcher complete with homing abilities
Blitz gun- here is your blitz gun, the closer you are the more damage it does
Morph-O-Ray- one of the most entertaining weapons. It turns your opponents into sheep or ducks
Lava gun- shoots a stream of lava that burns your enemy
Gravity bomb- run around and bomb your enemies with this
Holoshield- throw shields that you can shoot through but your enemies cannot
After three kills with each of these weapons (excluding holoshields) you can upgrade them to V2, which increases ammo amounts, damage and firing rate.
After all these great weapons what else could you wish for...VEHICLES!!! In this game you can choose from two different vehicles, the turboslider and the hovership, just like single player. Two players, a driver and gunner can control both of these vehicles.

This game was a really great game, and I'm sure that most other people who have played it have really enjoyed it as well. It has a good, funny storyline, an interesting weapons system, good graphics, well-placed controls, and online capabilities. it's rated T (Teen) by the ESRB for Violence and Crude Humor.

This has got to be the best game of all time! I thought the first two were awesome, but i had yet to see the best! The environments are beautifully detailed, giving the player an awesome experience. All the new challenges and everything make this game more fun, and challenging, which is what a game is all about. The storyline is still funny, and more interesting, without it drifting off or anything like that.
The best part has got to be the weapon and health upgrades! This makes the game more interesting, fun, exciting, and worth playing for a longer period of time. Everyone likes weapons and blowing stuff up, right? There's also a multiplayer, online option that makes this game almost endless. You can play anyone nationwide, and show 'em what you've got! All those little extras at the end of the game are also here. The people at Insomniac really went all out on this game, considering they released it only one year after Going Commando! All the arena games, missions, and weapons make this the most fun action/platform game of all time! This game trully deserves a place in the video game Hall of Fame, in my opinion!
