Primal: Average but beautiful.

Primal at its heart is a run-of-the-mill linear adventure. It's obvious the developers were going for the interactive movie experience. The gameplay in Primal is average but it's the story and the beautifully animated cut-scenes and quality voice acting that elevate this game from cookie-cutter adventure to an entertaining game. This is one of the best looking games on the playstation 2, with character models and animation unequaled by any other PS2 game. In fact the character models in this game are at least as good or better than most next-gen games. If your looking for a deep engrossing movie-like experience but don't mind just average gameplay, you should check this game out. Now that it's only $10 for a new copy, it's well worth the price.

game tries to be "cool" but falls way flat. the main girl voice actor is incredibly annoying, its the first time i ever skipped cut scenes i hadnt seen before. her dialog is just so lame, they tried sooo hard to make this game "hip", but ended up being about as hip as my grandmother doing the macarena

I was very disapointed in this game. I bought it and was excited but found out fast that it wasn't at all what I thought it would be. You have hardly any control over your charactor. You can't jump or climb, the computer does it all!! You can only move your charactor(s) and when you get to the right spot the computer moves them for you. The fighting ... to, had some cool moves but nothing to write home about. I was very saddened for the graphics where great and so is the story but I like action and being able to explore with my charactor.

I'm a true lover of quest games. This deffinately is up there on my chart. I hope to see a sequal in the near future, if so I'll be there to place my order to purchase it. I really had fun playing this game. Thanks again.

WELL, I must say this game has alot of opinions which can get rather maddening, I would suggest to anyone if you think you would like it, then rent it or buy it, whatever you do, because this game is not THAT bad i've had a few problems with glitches myself, like the world disappearing and i'm walking on air??? I don't know either, BUT, I love the attitude they give the character, she's a A** kicker and Scree, well I just love gargoyles! The different realms are exaclty that- you do not have repetition in this game,that sets the score high i think.(and that tattoo on her back, very nice!!!)That's a 5 star tat.

Fighting is testy at times, but what battles in any game are not.
you need to use your noggin for some of the puzzles, but for the most part you don't need to be a rocket scientist to figure it out, though it does use some of that gray matter locked up in your pretty heads, so if the room is dark, brighten it up and have yourself a look around...TRY to do it without cheating!!!!
"use your dead zone" you'll figure it out!!!!
I LIKED THE GAME alot but sometimes opinions are not what the need is, the need is to just get the game and PLAY IT!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, almost took me a year to complete but man what a game! This game rules. I had to look online and get the walkthrough because it is a hard game to play but very fun. It's a challenge to get through all the worlds. There are tons of mazes and puzzle solving to figure out and figting. I love the graphics and sounds. Just a really cool and fun game to play. I want Primal Part 2 but it's not out!

WOW....Gotta check out this game!!!

Get Primal! If you don''t get it you don''t know what your missing.I never played a game like it.....man.Jen and scree got good art the coolest.The best story coolest bosses the best its very hard but fun I like challenges.Jen is the character who fights Scree tells Jen clues.

I would like to discuss with other who have played this great game

From the commercials and magazine adds, it looks like a boring and meaningless title. To skip or not to skip? I'd say skip. Sony's capable of making much better games than this one.

I just loved this game. Great massive environments for exploring, and stunningly beautiful graphics. The fighting is a little lame sometimes, especially underwater (the camera goes nuts). There are some difficult boss fights, but most of them you can win after just a few tries. It's primarily a puzzle and exploration game rather than a fighting game, although I enjoyed the fighting sometimes. Luckily, you can save (almost) whenever you want, so you don't need to replay the same level again and again (as happens in Star Wars Bounty Hunter). You also do not need to backtrack much (as in Soul Reaver), which is good, since I like to keep seeing new things. Some of the puzzles are very hard, and I used a walkthrough since I don't have days to figure these things out. But anyway, great game, great fun.

I WAS REALLY BLOWN AWAY BY THE GREAT FIGHTING IN THIS GAME . AS WELL AS THE COOL FORMS JEN TAKES..BUT THE ONLY THING THAT MADE THE GAME A BIT BORING AT TIMES,WERE ALL THE ENDLESS PUZZLES YOU HAD TO DO THRU THE GAME.IT WAS FUN PLAYING AS SCREE , AND SOMETIMES DOING A BIT OF FIGHTING .. BUT HE SHOULD'VE HAD A BIGGER ENERGY BAR , OR MAYBE EVEN A SECOND ONE .THAT WAY IF YOU EVER NEEDED TO GET SOME OF HIS ENERGY AFTER A BIG FIGHT, YOU WOULDN'T COMPLETELY TAP HIM DRY.. JUST IN CASE YOU NEEDED SOME MORE ENERGY AFTER RUNNING INTO MORE DEMONS TO KILL !! PLUS A LOT OF THE TIME YOU STILL GOT LOST , USING THE MAP- OR YOU COULD NOT USE IT IN CERTAIN AREAS..BUT IT WAS ALSO NICE TO KICK DEMON ASS AS A DIFFERENT DEMON , RATHER THAN THE ONE YOU WERE FIGHTING . FERAI , AND DJINN ARE THE BEST FIGHTERS ..BUT DJINN HAVE SWORDS AND FERAI ONLY CLAWS.. THE WRAITH ARE COOL TOO WITH THEIR WHIPS..BUT ALL IN ALL IT WAS A COOL GAME AND GAVE ME LOTS OF FUN PLAYING IT..
