One of the best fighting SIMS ever

I bought this game for nostalgic reasons as well. I first played this game in 1994, on an old computer I
shared with my friend, but lost every game then. The experience was exhilarating nevertheless.I could
remember the voice saying 'Finish Him !!!' even after 11 years.

This game is about having nimble fingers. In real combat, the most agile combatant wins, in this game, the player with the most nimble fingers win - thats the bottom line.

This is certainly one of the best fighter games. I liked this better than the Street Fighter games.

The fatality ending is a treat for people who dig gore.

-There are three reasons for you to buy it -
1. You feel nostalgic about this game, and do want to play it again or
2. You are a die hard gore-thirsty MK fan
3. You need an action filled game to spend time with
If you dont think either one of the reasons given above suits you, steer clear of this game. All the reasons suited me, and here I am, playing this game, and I love it.

I knew what I wanted and expected from the game, and I am happy I got it. It is worth every dollar I spent. I would recommend it to my friends

This is an excellent game. I like how they were able to go back and create a purpose for each character and kombat zone, i.e. the Shadow Priests that guard the portals, the eyes in Goro's Lair were Oni, Sub Zero's younger brother got his scar from Kung Lao's hat. I loved throwing opponents into the trees in the Living Forest. The bonus features are also great. For the next MK spinoff, might I suggest MK: Elder Gods, starring Raiden, Shinnok, and Fujin?

Now we are talking Mortal kombat

I'm gonna tell am a super fan of MORTAL KOMBAT games but the last two were really disappointed cuz I didn't like the idea of playing an adventure as some monk or a guy randomly and been teached by the really charechters That i like ... will any how this one is the real (and thank GOD) one i wished MIDWAY could bring to us .
lets talk about the game shall we ...OK then

First i'll start with the gaming ,their is the (story mode( singel or KO-op)- the versus mode-Loading saved games -the option - and the Kontent which you will all of the secrets of game and movies and art you've collected in the game,,
you'll start tha story game mode which is the best of the game wether you choose from Kung Lao or Liu King to choose from or you can play on them both in 2 player mode Ko-op every one of theme has at least 10 fatalitys YES 10 plus their are also two secret charechter which are (Sup-zero and Scorpion) you can play with theme if u find the hidden secret coins scattered all over the game.
The versus Mode which is complately diffrent from previos Mortal kombat such as you have completly a free well to walk the stage from a clif to waterful from a bredge to rooftop and u also will see some chest you can break to have extra health or magic powers and so on also you can unlock new charecters and stages from the story mode as i told before..
Lastly all of your hidden stuff will be recoreded inthe KONTNENT menu.
overall the graphic is very cool and awsome FX and many many enemies with diffrent powers and style and i almose forget lots of BLOOD AND BODIES every where ..
so make your way in thoes diffrents realmes with your FIST OF STEEL (blood on it will not effect it :) and be the MORTAL KOMBAT CHAMPION
ITS A GAME MUST BUY

Shaolin Monks takes place during the Mortal Kombat 2 timeline. The opening scene shows Shang Tsung, Goro, and the other evil enemies escaping to Outworld in pursuit are those warriors from The Order of Light, allies Lu Kang and Kung Lao. After a nearly fatal disaster, the duo make their way to Outworld where the action begins.

This is definetely the best Mortal Kombat game I have ever played, and I own all of the games. I love the change from just fighting people to a huge action-adventure....adventure. Not only is this the best game of the series, it's also the goriest. It gets a 5+ for blood'n'guts. Hack people in half vertically AND horrizontally with swords and other pointy instruments, bludgeon enemies with a rabbit till they explode, cleave people's faces in half with a hat, break peoples limbs and snap their neck, set people on fire until they melt into a pile of blood and entrails, slowly hack off people's limbs, impale people on catapults and fling them at buildings and make them explode, crush heads, every move involves copious amounts of blood flinging everywhere, and TONS more. BUY IT. I'm brainwashing you. BUY IT. BUY IT. Trust me, you'll love it.

Nice Change of Pace!

This game follows a similar formula to "MK Mythologies: Sub Zero", except the gameplay is much more well done and enjoyable. You play as Liu Kang and Kung Lao (or Scorpion and Sub-Zero by unlocking them). The story takes place at the end of the first Mortal Kombat tournament and proceeds through the tournament of "Mortal Kombat II" in Outworld. The game has a lot of replay value, though the final boss (Shao Kahn) is very difficult to beat if you're not fighting as Liu Kang ( since he fires projectiles the fastest). Now that the price is down to $29.99, the game is more than worth it's price! Even those who aren't fans of Mortal Kombat will enjoy this, but only the fans will catch the nostalgia from the old "MK II" game.

Shaolin Monks is by far my favorute mortal kombat game. This is the only game if i am not mistaken where you could go on an adventure with kung lao. Now the graphics are good but they could have mapped the faces better but instead they actually modeled it. That really sets it off i am a 3d-artist and i know how hard it is to make charecters but the cloth in this game is really nice to very realistc. enough of that lets get on to the storyline, this takes place right before lui kang fights shang tsung in other words right before the end of the first movie basically next kung lao comes in. After shang stung is almost defeated goro comes in and beats all of Raiden's warriors. Raiden comes in but the floor breaks and kung lao and liu kang are trapped in goro's lair this is where the game starts. Gameplay is very easy to learn and fatality's are easy to perfect this game also has kind of a leveling up rpg twist to it which makes it unique(note it is still fighting)! The game modes in this are ko-op, single player, and versus mode i rated this 5 stars because it has a very nice storyline very original I would say and a unique battle system.

the best sequel to part one of the movie.
