I sent this item back as I wanted software for the computer, not for the Play Station Two. It was my mistake in ordering. When this becomes available for the computer, please let me know. I rated this item at 5 stars as my husband has the other Medal of Honor games and loves them !

I rented this at Blockbuster excited to play it when i got home, and when i did i played for hours. When you first get it its funner than hell. But when you get to the damn bosses it gets you frustrated. Thats when i asked myself: How come it takes so many bullets to kill one [...] commander when it only takes two or three to kill an ordinary [...]? So I got pretty far before i got pissed enough to stop playing, and i didnt end up beating the game so theres not much more i can say. The graphics were better than Frontline and Rising sun and the War sounds were better too. So dont buy it just rent it and if your good at boss games, than buy it.
Great WWII game!!

I got this game a few days after it was released and I loved it. You can play in areas such as Russia, North Africa, France, and Germany. You are always an American working for the OSS but you fight with the Americans, the Russians, and the British. Great weapons and hardly any glitches at all (unlike the other medal of honor games). I have had it for nearly two years and I can still go into my room and play it for hours on end. If you want a good, cheap WWII game, BUY THIS ONE!!! -Clarkee

Medal of honor European assault

If you like first person shooters that aren't to hard and have a good solid game play then I would suggest this game.
In the beginning your start off as a man named Holt about to land on the enemies territory and rescue your captain once u land the basic controls should appear. After you wipe out most of your enemies u should start to look for your captain once u find him your next goal is to head back to the ship and the level is over none of the levels are this easy so don't get used to it.
In this first person shooter has great graphics you can actually see the gun fire the bullet. On each level you are given about six to eight goals to finish on each level of the game some are harder than others. Once your finish the main goal you are not exactly going to get the gold medal for that mission to successfully get the gold medal u have to finish every goal on that particular level. Note: this does not stop you from going on in the game.
Most of the Medal of Honor games are fairly easy but not this one. You will encounter a lot of tanks and most of the time you will only have grenades, just to give some help, it takes about ten grenades to destroy a tank but I wont say where you have to throw them. After you destroy the tank normally the will be a 2nd wave of troops just in case you destroy the tank.
You will get a few types of guns that will really help you to defeat the opposing German forces once you reach a certain point in each level you will encounter a German general that has a high defense, high attack, good aim, and he will have a lot of health. Some of the strongest guns are B.A.R., M1 grand, M1 Bazooka, M1 grand scoped, the M119 (pistol) and the Springfield 07 (sniper rifle). These are some of the many powerful and dangerous guns (to the Germans) that can be obtained in your quest.
they can definitly do better

okay so the graphics are descent but this game irritates me because of the historical inaccuracy. since when was there an american in a British comando unit. and in the africa campaign they would be no way they would ever let an american in to the desert rats. they were completly british. and in russia they didn't even trust the americans never have probably never will. and the game posts no dificulty i beat it an two hours. okay before you say i have no life you should rent it and see how easy it is. its too simple. if you like games where you go around killing things and games that have no point this game is for you.
A more realistic MOH

This MOH game brings about many changes in the series. This game is much more realistic, tactical, and much less run-and-gun. Therefore, it is a bit more difficult. You must use cover and peek around corners to efficiently attack enemies. Other new add-ons include:
1. Holding medikits (to increase health and heal comrades - you can carry these and use them as needed).
2. Earning revives (earned by achieving special objectives, automatically used when your health meter reaches zero).
3. An adrenaline meter (which fills up by killing enemies and can later be used to attack without damage and with unlimited ammo - difficult to use correctly at first but with experience becomes a huge advantage).
4. You control a group of comrades that fight with you (you can give simple "go here" and "retreat" commands - they aren't good for much, but they do kill - on occasion).
As I said before, this game is much more difficult than the previous MOHs, so the frustration factor is much higher. There are no save-points or checkpoints, so if you die at the end of a 30-minute mission, it's back to the beginning. There is no co-op mode which is a bummer. I don't play online so I can't say anything about that. Despite being very different from the other MOHs, this is a great WWII shooter. You get the same great WWII realism (battles, uniforms, weapons - and in this one, a machine gun can actually take a guy out in a bullet or two, unlike old MOHs where you'd have to empty a clip). Two great additions in this game involve grenades. You can allow a grenade to cook, which shortens the time til explosion and eliminates the enemies' chance of throwing it back or kicking it. And if an enemy tosses a grenade in your direction, you can kick it. One down-side to this game is its length. There are about 12 missions in 4 different geographic locations. However, there are 4 different difficulty settings, with the hardest being almost impossible. I don't know if this game is worth it's original retail price, but now that it's in the greatest hits, add it to your MOH collection.
European Assault isn't Frontline, but it's okay.

You play as United States Lieutenant William Holt as he engages in various missions, which includes fighting in Stalingrad and the Battle of the Bulge, in Europe during World War 2. Eventually Holt has to stop a mad Nazi general or something from dropping a Dirty Bomb on London.
This is your basic Medal of Honor game - you run, jump, and crawl around in first person, shooting and blowing up Nazis with a wide assortment of WW2 weapons such as athe M1 Garand or Thompson, while doing random objectives like planting charges, calling in airstrikes and what not. However, European Assault does bring some new things to the aging franchise. For starters you can now command a team of three soldiers (starts off with British, then Russian, then Americans), but sadly their AI so so atrocious you'll probably try leaving them behind or not care if they die. Secondly, you can "revive" yourself when you die by collecting these white pill looking things throughout the levels. And finally, there are secondary objectives which actually encourage you to explore the entire level - in otherwords, non-linear level design unlike the previous games.
Moving on, the enviroments look pretty war torn and good as well as decently realistic. The lighting looks real good, and the guns look perfect. Sadly, almost all the character models look exactly the same - a typical in the Medal of Honor games.
Musically speaking, this game has an awesome soundtrack. Michael Giachinno, the composer, really knows mix heavy grief & sadness with heart pounding tension & anxiety. The voice acting is really good as well, and the same goes with the sound of the weapons and explosions. The explosions sound exceptionally well.
The only replayability factor I can possibly think of is going back into every stage and finding every objective to earn a gold medal. Maybe a few multiplayer matches, but other than that its a no go.
Like always, the ending was garbage. William Holt stops the Nazi general, and the bomb explodes in a bunker..some how Holt manages to survive the explosion, American troops come and give him orders to head to Berlin. After that, you hear a real life William Holt explaining what the war really meant to him. Other than the real life Holt tlaking, the end wasn't very interesting...but neither are any MOH endings.
The AI...was terrible like I mentioned. Not your enemies, they had pretty good AI by taking cover, using their surroundings....your Allies AI was disgusting. You would order then to take cover behind a wall and then they will run right in front of it while getting shot with a gun emplacement. Better yet, you would (like I said) try leaving them behind so you can engage in a serious firefight (which happens alot) and they would come running right into the battlefield screaming "HOLT HAS THE RIGHT IDEA!!!". Pending on how many, if any, survived you get medipacks for the next stage (ie: 3 people lived, 3 medipacks earned)... so its really not even worth it to keep them alive.
To finish it up, although European Assault is short and very hard at times - it is a pretty good shooting game with wide open levels and fast paced WW2. I suggest it as a rental to die hard MOH fans, Brother in Arm fans, or shooting gamers.
Room for improvment.

A OK game. The missions are OK. But some of it is complrtrly screwed up. You now have to defeat a bose every level that is 10x more powerful than anything else(he can take like 2 rocket hits.) All the melee attacks are bassicaly the same. And you're squad is made up of people from a retard house. The multiplayer is OK, only if you have LOTS of people. The overal game is alright, but just needs some tweaking.
Cool Game

It was A Gift for my dad. He has the first Medal of Honor Game..This one is a bit of a challenge for him but he really likes it. He says it will certainly take him some time to finish this game. That was my whole point of buying it for him. He is retired and loves to play games in his spare time. So he should be occupied for some time!!!
OK but could be much much better

When i heard that a new MoH was coming out i had to get it. But really it isn't that great. The graphics are not good at all and are very much like a cartoon than like a game. The whole OSS secret agent going behind enemy lines and killing 100s of nazis is old. But you do get to use a squad to help you out. But its a shame that they usually do absolutely nothing, and end up dead. U can tell that this game was kind of thrown out there to keep up with Call of Duty and all their success, becuz it contains many of the same features. This is the first PS2 MoH game where you look down the sights to aim. Another dissapointment was the multiplayer. The graphics are horribly toned down and the weapons are limited. Rent it, don't buy it.
