You get to play as Venom and Iron man, as well as several new characters. The game has profanity, not recommended for children. It's also kind of dark. But the storyline is decent, and it's fun to fight all the aliens. The fight scenes show the whole setting, you don't get to watch the characters go at it close-up. I still haven't beaten it, but then it always takes me a while to beat a game.

Better than you think!

Everyone to write a review so far says there are only two buttons
to use. Thats not true there is x button for jumping, circle button for grabbing, square for punching, and triangle for blocking. You can also press R1 for special moves that take up rage and L1 for running across walls or just running and flying.
The people that said there are only two main buttons must have never experimented with other buttons and combinations. I am a big fan of Xmen and SpiderMan and I am not dissapionted with this game it's well worth 20 bucks. I have every single SpiderMan game there is and lots of Xmen games like Xmen Legends one and two for instance. This game ranks up with any other Marvel and
EA game to me. Its not an easy game either, its actually pretty
tough.

OVERALL:

If you like fully destructible envirments and love two beat up on baddies with Wolverine and SpiderMan in other games then you will
love this game!

i bought this game a while back and thought it was awesome. it was really easy but i still loved it. i liked the story mode feature on this game. insted of just 1 on 1 fights you can do some free-roaming and platforming. and it was awesome that the p vs. p mode was free-raoming insted of the side view mode like in all the other fighter games iv played. some of the people said it was way too hard and some said they wanted something like x men legends, well after i beat the game i checked the saved time and it said 4 hours and 15 minutes. so it was pretty danged easy. and if u want something like x men legends, buy x men legends 1 or 2 or get marvel ultiamte alliance, cuz this game isnt an action RPG like them, its a fighter game. over all i think it rocked though, it had tons of great character and cool graphics. if you're a marvel fan or like fighter games, buy this.

Like many reviewers have already said, MARVEL NEMESIS is nothing but a button-mashing fighting game. Not fun and very repetitive! If you are looking for a super hero type game stick with either the X-MEN LEGENDS or MARVEL ULTIMATE ALLIANCE. At least those games are entertaining.

I bought this thinking it would be similar to X-Men Legends, but alas I was disapointed. This is a Player Vs. Player game that is also "hailed" as having a playable storyline for those not wanting to engage other players. That playable story line is rather week... and while it starts out easy it quickly becomes annoying and difficult. So far, I have played The Thing, Wolvering, and Electra and while they look awesome in the game, their playable features are anything but amazing. Sure, The Thing is super strong... but his attributes only serve to "clobber" bad guys without any real regard to what the story is supposedly about. In the palyer vs. player mode, if you play the computer it is near impossible to win (and that is set on the easiest mode) which makes it disapointing considering that as you win PvP matches, you unlock new characters. I really liked the art work... the characters are done to such a high level of detail and the fighting environments are about as intricately detailed. Also, the fact that you cna destryo items like mailboxes and cars is also a fun plus. Unfortunately, that is about all this game has going for it.

If you are into Fighting games then this is the game for you,I heard about this game and I thought it was to good to be true. I was surfing the web and thought i would go to [...] and then I saw this game this has a good Plot and nice moves but not so many charecters I was waiting for this game to have like all of the fantastic four and all the X-men and the Hulk and Captin America. But they made the Imperfects which is ok but if you don't have those guy then thats kind of stupid. overall this is a great game the story modes good and the veres mode is good too.

Well, I bought this game, Xmen Legends 2, and Ultimate Spiderman.

After beating Ultimate Spiderman (GREAT GAME!!), then trying this game, I must say I'm dissappointed.

The intro movie in story mode was good, but overall so far the game is horrid. Spiderman telling someone he kicked their ass? What the hell? Spiderman doesn't even use the word Ass. They give characters like Spiderman a hard edge that he doesn't have/need.

I want to play as Venom but apparently you have to unlock that to all hell. Dissappointing if you ask me. And I heard after you unlock the characters you can't even save it.

You have to hold R1 to use Wolverine's claws? Uh, those are like a default power and stuff!

Spiderman going into a RAGE?

Uh have these guys ever read the comics? Spiderman doesn't throw stingers. Ben Reilly did.

If you're a comic fan. Don't pick this game up. EA should stick to sports games. Stay away from this game. It sucks.

it was a really cool game but after you beat it theres nothing to do.the characters are really cool but the destructible stuff is a third enemy.the story missions are to similar to one another.the inperfects are just weirder versions of super heroes.like brigade=thing and hazmat = wolverine. get what im saying and the ones that dont copy a hero(which is none)there so stupid.oh and paragon and the wink are in everyway the same.i think you should with ultimate spider man instead.(its a far better game!)
