Easy to get started, easy to play while still being challenging. My 6yr old and 10yr old both enjoy it as much as myself. And it is a snap to jump in or out of a game to make it two player or go back to one.
Ridiculously Addicting!

I probably wouldn't have picked this up if it hadn't been highly recommended by a friend. It LOOKS like it's just for kids, but in the same way adults can enjoy games like Jenga, we can also enjoy games like this!
The Gameplay:
The gameplay is very easy to pick up and it appeals to me on many levels. It speaks to the "hunter/gatherer" side of us, since we can collect little lego "studs" in order to purchase items and playable characters. The fighting isn't difficult, but is satisfying, as you can fight with lightsabers or blasters (depending on the character). The best part is that once you've completed the story mode, you can return to the level playing as any character, including ones you "purchase" with the studs. So satisfying to battle the forces of evil with Darth Maul!
The Look:
Hey, it's Legos! Very cute, but not cloying. Very smooth graphics.
The Bad:
Really, nothing overly bad. I would have liked to be able to explore a bit more, since you can kind of see off into other areas that you can't quite get to. Also, one of the racing levels I found to be quite difficult. HOWEVER, these complaints are minor and didn't detract from my enjoyment of the game.
Awesome Game!

This game is so cool (according to my 9 and 4 year old) that they wore out the first copy of the game we purchased and this is the second one we've bought!
A great spin on the movie series

It has been so much fun for my son and his friends to play. Not only are the characters in lego form great, but it's fun for them to role-play as r2d2 or Darth Sidious or whomever. The graphics and sound detail are fantastic as well. You will not be disappointed!

Being I normally enjoy mature titles, I was surprised to find myself so amused by this game. I didn't want it to end. On that note, be warned that it is VERY short. I finished this in 2 days. It boasts moderate replay value (unlocking characters, the secret door) but nothing that would make me want to play this instead of some of my more enviromentally vast titles. I think it's worth the $20 amazon is asking. I noticed a lot of places were selling this for $30 (Best Buy, Toys R Us, etc) - Out of the stores I visited, GameStop was the only "off-line" retailer that was selling this for $20. In short, if you're an older gamer, I would purchase some of the other SW games out there BEFORE this (not that I am suggesting you SHOULDN'T eventually pick this up) like Knights of the Old Republic for Xbox. Unfortunately, for the most part, I feel as if older gamers are motiviated to purchase this game [only] in order to experience the gimmick it offers, this being a Lego-comprised Yoda and so forth.
Pros:
-buying new characters
-unlockables (like invincibility or the ability to replace your characters' lightstaber with a teacup)
-freeplay battles (the evil characters attack the good ones and so forth)
-second play drop-in, drop-out mode at ANY point in the game
-cute/silly cut scenes
-pretty good graphics
Cons:
-VERY short
-obviously geared for the younger players
-characters devoid voices
-sometimes tedious and annoying flying levels
VERY PLEASED

My son just loves this game. He received at least 2 other games for christmas along with the Star Wars game and all he plays is the Star Wars Lego game everyday. He just gets the biggest kick out of the little lego characters and the different sound effects of the game.

MY 10 year old hates the games where she can't advance and repeatedly dies, so I got this as it was deemed more fun than challenging. What a relief, no more pouty moments and it isn't a game that will be put away and never played again. PLUS, for those that can't use blue disks (we can't anymore), we bought the GREATEST HITS version of the Lego Star Wars, and it comes on a silver disk, so apparently Sony figured that one out. So don't let that stop you from getting it.
Amazing!

The best game I've ever played this year is THIS game. Sure, it looks very childish, even my mom and sister made fun of me when i got it. Well, I don't care what they think because this is one hell of a fun game. I don't know where to start. Well, i guess i'll start by saying that there are the 3 ' first ' trilogies. Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, and Revenge of the Sith. I just got this game today, and I've beaten the first 'movie'. Well, it wasn't all that easy... there ARE times when you have to use you're head... It kind of reminded me at times of more a puzzle game than an adventure game. Next, there are a ton of unlockables. You buy these unlockables by using ' Studs ' i believe they're called. You can purchase things such as: ( discontinue reading if you do not want to know. ) Purple light sabers, invincibility, large blasters, mustaches, and other things. You can also play as over 30 characters from the original 3 movies, all with different abilities. And if you've played the game or seen the movie, you know what I'm talking about. Just about every character you've seen and more you can play as in this game. Darth Maul.. Yoda.. C3-PO.. R2-D2.. Darth Vader. The only thing I don't care for about this game, is that I don't think it will last long. I got it today and I have already beaten a third of the game. I can almost guarantee I will go back into levels i've played for more unlockables, but this game probably won't last too long after that. But there is one thing that may keep me around this game: CO-OP MODE... yeah you can play with a friend at any time on this game. Plug in an extra controller and press start, that's all you need to do. I said it before and I'll say it again: This is the best game I've played all year; and I hope you think the same too.
