Nonstop fun

This is 1 of the funniest playstatin two games ive bought this year its nonstop fun. Its not all shooting like most action games there is a little skill involved.You need know when to shot,and also let off that trigger finger, its alot of fun

I must say, this game is excellent. Unlike most FPS games out there, this one requires skill and planning. I remember the days of Rainbow 6, where you could keep hitting the next button and never had to plan anything. Not with this game! You need skill and cutting-edge reflexes. Definately a must buy for those out there that hate the lack of realism in today's games. I would give it 6 stars if I could!

It seems like this game is great u can choke people with a rope it's kinda violent but that's ok get if if u want to but i would recommend grand theft auto vice city or need for speed hot pursuit 2

I bought the Video Game CD which was used, but it was scratched,

This is an outstanding game!! I'm hooked on the Hitman series. After playing this one, there was no way I was gonna pass on the follow up, Hitman: Contracts. And I've already pre-ordered the next installment, Hitman: Blood Money.

(NOTE:I am not here to review Hitman 2:SA,i am overviewing the Hitman and other stealth games/series)
There are two stealth game styles:the "Splinter Cell" engine and the "Metal gear Solid" Engine.The SC engine is 100% stealth and being a "ghost" where getting cought is forbidden-plus when you kill an enemy guard you hide his/her corpse where it won`t be found.There is more hidingmless action.
The MGS engine is more free-as you can kill any guard and leave his corpse-and not get punished,Also if you get couaght you can run and hide OR get killed.i prefer the MGS engine as its much more fun,i do like SC but MGS is better.
Hitman i must say is more MGS than SC-as you have two choices "Go on a rampage and kill every living thing(u could do that in MGS)" or "Sneak up on guards(well targets) and kill them nice and quietly" which was the choice you are given in MGS games
The Great Escape was kind of a mixture of both,It was medicre rated,i dunno why,but i loved that game(not as much as MGS,though) despite ugly gaphics.
Hitman is like Metal gear in story as well,you play a clone-Codename 47 who was cloned of five of the top most DANGEROUS CRIMINALS-like MGS`s Solid Snake who was cloned of the "Greatest Soldier of the 20th Century" Big Boss as he saved USA from having a giant tank(like a Metal Gear,but was a tank) shoot a Nuclear Warhead into America`s homeland during the Cold War by the Soviet union.(1964)
Mission:Impossible:Operation SURMA was a SC clone as it used the same gameplay,spy style,etc.
Here i will recommend some stealth games all(SC or MGS-i did like both) for PlayStation 2:

METAL GEAR SOLID 2:SONS OF LIBERTY/SUBSTANCE
METAL GEAR SOLID 3:SNAKE EATER/SUBSITENCE
HITMAN 2:DEADLY ASSASIN
HITMAN 3:CONTRACTS
TOM CLANCY`S SPLINTER CELL
SPLINTER CELL 2:PANDORA TOMMOROW
SPLINTER CELL 3:CHAOS THEORY
THE GREAT ESCAPE
MISSION IMPOSSIBLE:OPERATION SURMA

I do not have this game for the PS2. I like to play games better on the computer then I do on any game console. But what i have to say unlike what some people are saying this is a great game. They say they dont like it because you should not shoot people and all you do is run around..... well duh you idiots if you were a "hitman" thats how you would want to do it...... a hitman would not want attention on him he would just want to get the people he is sent after, he would not want to go after associates of the people unless it was 100% needed which in most cases it is not. If you want a game where you just shoot people up look for another game such as max payne because this one is not for you and do not complain about it either if you do not like the idea of trying to use stealth then don't freaking bother with the game

Now to the game itself The game is fun if you know what you are doing.... you need stealth and sometimes a lot of patience.... on the computer the graphics seem fine to me but there are some flaws i notice that sometimes people go in walls and are still able to shoot you but you can not shoot them... ive seen people walk through walls..... and the way "47" walks does seem unhuman at times.... and the sound is great..... i have not played hitman 2 on ps2 yet but i am planning on buying but but i still would recomend getting it on the computer along with Hitman: Codename 47 (the first one) which could bring the story to somewhere else for some people.

I see no reason for anyone to make a game like this.

Being a spy is one thing, but being a hitman is another. A hitman is not a good idea for a Video Game hero. The game looks like ... as well. You kill someone and you have to hide their body so no one sees it. What about that huge blood mess you made on the ground. Oh well if anyone sees it they'll just think someone spilled their fruit punch all over the ground and forgot to wipe it up. What a stupid game. Give me a break.

If you like GoldenEye or Tom Clancy games you'll like this

This game is great for either style shoot'em up gamers. You can either be sneaky or basically run through and kill everyone. I do admit some levels are easier than others if you take your time. Good variety of weapons that once you start accumulating them you can pick and choose what ones you'd like to bring along with later missions. Helpful hint... try not to leave the dead bodies laying around if you do have to kill someone, because it seems someone is always walking past them and alerting the gaurds.
