EA Sports should have released TP 2001 as an arcade game because that is exactly what it plays like. Don't get me wrong, the game LOOKS great. But that's where the thread with reality stops. I love sports games for the PC, and usually take a team of my design on a full season and see where they end up.

TP 2001 does not have injuries built into the season mode. Your players can play every day, all game and show no signs of wear and tear. Finish a season with your invincible team? No franchise mode.

Other game flaws include diving, which must be done with an almost ESP like sense of direction if you want to even hope to stop a ball. If you decide to turn errors on, watch out. Manny Ramirez had 8 "errors" on balls that seemed to award an error just because they were hit in his direction.

On the other hand if you like arcade style gameplay, codes that give players unecessary and unuseable attributes such as big heads, little bodies, large bats, Superman like speed, and no concept of what baseball is all about, then rush out and buy this immmediately.

All I can say is buy High Heat Baseball. It's a much better product and an acurate baseball game. As a huge sports gaming fan I can honestly say that the Triple Play series is a waste of time.

Triple Play 2001 is the most realistic baseball game I've ever played (I played a lot of games). It's everything a person wants; very good graphics, the updated rosters,all the pitches, and most importantly, it's fun. Triple Play 2001 has amazed me once I installed it. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. It was like i was in the game. I am 100% positive that it will amaze you to.

I think this game is pretty good the players our all real baseball players. It has many levels such as Single Game,playoffs,and Homerun Derby. Although I really don't have the jewel case I have the original version. All in all I am pleased.

Well, i played this game for quite a long time now and i steal think it's great but the only thing that i don't like here is whan you got all the rewards you can get an inside the park homerun by bunting! the only thing that could make this game batter is harder levels.

I played this game four times and then I spent a week and a half trying to get it to work again. I keep getting the error message "SOFTTRI_setdisplaymode - ERROR CODE (softtristatus) 80004005". After removing and reinstalling the game, removing my other games, and upgrading DirectX, I still get the error, and I've given up. This may be a common situation. ... ... ... in the technical support forum.) The game is wonderful until it doesn't work. Do not buy it unless you really enjoy frustration!

PS: Wait about a month until you order the manual. The game will quit working before you need it.

Ok guys i will make this short. If your looking for a baseball game i recomend to get this one because the only bad thing here is once you have all the rewards it gets easyer but if your a starter i realy think you should get this.

Poor graphics takes away from gameplay

I know graphics don't make a game, but in this case, with bad controls and poor gameplay, it does. I bought this game because I felt EA Sports was one of the top software companies. They still are, but I think you should look at different games before choosing this one.
